I have almost every version of the bucket o soldiers made, and it’s funny watching how the originals had generic army men to 2009 and beyond having screen accurate soldiers. What I think sets apart the signature collection from the Disney parks bucket is the signature collection was made to be collected by adults, and the parks exclusive was made to be a toy for kids, hence their differences. One thing I wish they made was a medic soldier like in the movie which has never been done. At least the park bucket included the injured soldier
I’ve been expanding my collection and finally got the soldiers. When getting them I found something out. Like we discovered with Buzz having 2 waves for cloud pattern. The soldiers also have 2 waves for cloud. The 2nd wave is similar to white logo and contains everything you showed in the video. However, the 1st wave contained army men in different stances than the ones showed. The army men were also a glossier green, but now I think every wave after made them a matte green. The land mine detector soldier also had a squarish detector, whereas the one from the 2nd wave and white logo have a circular one (which I believe is more accurate). It’s interesting to see the differences, but it’s kind of weird that Thinkway didn’t include all the original stances in later waves since it would have been nice to get more variety.
@@todayigrewup thank you.btw I plan B on changing the bucket all together.those r just to short for me.plus that gives me opertunity to put more in that look like collection.and the additional.broken one.btw love the hilarious.joke with the stage.btw again did u spot the link.deose it count as mail.? If not I'll send letter.
So I like the idea of putting the TSC soldiers in the Disney Parks bucket with the TSC lid, but I'm a little worried about the thinner label. I'm not good at custom work, but do you think I should print a thick movie accurate label and put it on the TSC Bucket? Or should I just leave them in the Disney Parks bucket?
Are you gonna compare the white logo solders to the TSSC ones? Or are the differences between them apart from the buckets basically indiscernible? Also, in what movie is it mentioned that Andy’s bucket has 200 solders in it? Cause I thought 72 was movie accurate
Not sure I’d have to research the number of soldiers. Signature collection is cheaper plastic and brighter green. The best soldiers to me are cloud logo and white logo because they are made of higher quality thicker plastic and better green color in my opinion. The differences are slight but big enough to notice. The signature collection ones are closer to three Disney parks exclusive soldiers.
I never really grew up, all I did was hit puberty and stay a kid! I have a collection of soldiers including Disney ones and their good quality. Disney usually make things with good quality and I'm glad they do, not always do you get good quality these days!
I just recently did a mod with one of my Bucket O Soldiers and a surgically removed the Soldier With the pistol off his base and The soldier saluting and I cut him off his base with an exacto knife and I superglued him to a bigger base a more movie accurate Sarge same sarge with a pistol just a different position
Maybe you can sell Disney store Army Men in your Todayigrewup shop and keep collection soldiers and get more until you have 200 army men and a larger bucket if not then just get more Disney Store Army men since they don’t make the collection anymore until you have 200 army men
I would refine your point system for future reviews. I enjoyed the video, but instead of forcing 15+ things to address so one can get to 10, come up with different categories. (Packeging accuracy, toy accuracy, toy accuracy, toy playability, exclusives). And just fully address everything at once. You can subcategories things for the bucket (colors, size, art, et cetera), and grant points that way. Still enjoyed the video!
@@todayigrewup. Well is it also because that if Andy and the other humans saw Woody and the other toys 🧸 coming to life, they wouldn’t want to play with toys 🧸 anymore right
I have 2 of these buckets, and I am 10, so the other bucket I lost and I found the army men: 72 of them and I combined them with the other bucket so I have 132 soldiers now!
@@todayigrewup Apparently you can get them at Walmart but walmart doesn't exist yet in where I live so sucks to be me atm. Regardless the sculps look great but I often hear that there is always one para trooper missing.
That’s not true, you can’t get these at Walmart. You must be confusing these bucket of soldiers with the collection and signature collection bucket of soldiers version which are different. This video comparison I made might help you understand the differences ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dtBz-Sz45pQ.html also Walmart doesn’t sell either of these at the moment I know because I live close to many Walmarts here in the USA.
I hope this doesn't come across as any hate or rude in any way but the toy battle is supposed to be most movie accurate so TSC should have got the point for the parachuters as there were only 2 in toy story not 3. you said because its more fun to have more but the toy battle isn't for which toy is the most fun, its for most movie accuracy as you said in the video.
Notice that in Toy Story according Pixar wiki there are actually over 200 army men two With parachutes One Medical Solider with the cross with the white circle on his helmet the one who was taking care of the Soldier that Andy’s mom stepped on and Sarge himself and I’m pretty sure that they more then ten poses in Toy Story 2 if you look carefully
You could get a sticker of the bucket O soldiers in a darker blue and print it a tad bigger over the Disney parks one on it already stick it over I got a friend who can do it
Yeah at least it match the lid and movie a little better also I'm thinking of having my friend print me a pizza planet logo to stick onto a 10x10 blank white pizza box to add into thee collection would you do that or want one
I also feel the lids in both signature and parks are a little so small compared to the movie idk I feel the one in the film is a little taller and maybe skinnier would you agree if so how can us fans get or make one
You have to go to the Disney parks to get one. Either Florida Disney world or Disneyland in Anaheim California. It’s exclusive to the theme park shops. That’s why it’s called a parks exclusive. They don’t sell this online unless maybe you get lucky finding one on eBay
I got some army men from a yard sale that are from Jakks Pacific and they are only exclusive in something called Toy Story in a box you get Lenny a Buzz Lightyear Laser pistol a treasure map some coins and a sheriff and all of these army men have a loop on the top where they are parachute troops and they are a little bigger but they are the same size as Toy Story Collection Army Men and I repainted them to match the green color of collection they were too bright green
Yeah it’s not in the Disney store it’s a “Disney Parks” exclusive so you can only buy them at Disney World where I got them or Disneyland at Anaheim California. Only Disney theme parks it’s exclusive to those stores. You can still find Toy Story Signature Collection soldiers in Target if you’re lucky.
