Blocketh you’re killing me the notos isn’t broken and I love that gun personally it’s a great budget pcp honestly the best of all the ones you have here
The Notos is just as good as the airacuda. When you have a rifle that doesn’t fill from empty, cock it first. It takes the pressure of the spring off the valve and allows it to seal.
On the notos when it's fully empty, you have to cock it back and hold the bolt back for a sec to get it to seal. It will not fill if not cocked. Also you gotta try the gamo urban!
Another great video. As others have mentioned, in a lot of air rifles, when they're empty, the hammer resting on the valve will keep it open, resulting in leaks. Just cock it and fill. The Airacuda is unregulated, Airacuda Max is regulated. Cheers.
Wow 5 airguns at once lol. Good review overall man. You should clean the barrels first to give them a good chance tho. My Notos barrel had a lot of factory gunk in it and a lot of the others you have did too. The JTS rifle was probably the best one for cleaner barrel. I was looking at that JTS for awhile and finally got them about a month ago. I absolutely like them alot! They are pretty darn accurate and well made. Probably still have to clean the barrels tho. I'm going to get mine done soon. I've taken a crap ton of rats an byrdz with mine aready lol ha good video man! Sta slingin that sweet air rifle lead! Ed Snippin Man here 💥💪💪💪😱😱😱💯
@@davesauerzopf6980 I fill my Barra 1100z to 2400psi also, get's great groups at that psi for two mags, then i pump it back up only takes like 30 pumps
Hi Blocketh. One budget air rifle which might just come out on top of most the rifles you tested is the Stoeger XM1 PCP Rifle (not the Carbine). Here in the UK it is priced at under £300 Sterling. Stoeger is in fact Beretta and the XM1 has a Lothar-Walther barrel and can shoot slugs accurately and at full power! This rifle weighs under 6lb in weight too. I have tested this out to 80 metres /88 yards (so far) using JSB Knockout .177 cal Slugs and good quality pellets). It can achieve near 1" group accuracy at this distance using a good scope with no wind. I was going to buy an FX Wildcat or DreamLine. BUT settled for the XM1 Instead as it almost matches these upto 80m, for a sheer fraction of the price (although shot count is limited to 50 shots max per charge). I know the FX range can shoot upto 200 yards and above using smooth twist barrels and slugs. For the budget, its the best I've come across to date. I have tested air riflesand new products out for dealers for several years now, and this XM1 almost matches my own personal Daystate Huntsman HR in .177. If you do not believe me - please try this model out. If you pick it up, you will not want to put it down. It also has the sleek 'tacticool' looks of a $1k air rifle, adjustable handl, shoulder stock and cheek riser, and the simplistic but highly ergonomic bolt action 'toggle' design on this rifle is just genius. This rifle *also available in .22* is surely a corker! I think they also do the model in .25 cal AS THE XM1 RANGER, which is probably more expensive and uses a more complex bolt action system. Rob, UK.
tech tip you have to cock the notos first before filling so the valve will stay closed unless you fill it with a bottle A hand pump and A compressor don't have enough power to close the valve but its only when from filling from empty.
@blockethoutdoors you should cock all pcps when filing from empty, it keeps the hammer off the valve. With no pressure holding the valve shut the hammer spring can keep it open just enough to stop them from filing. They are all designed that way.
The JTS Aircuda is a really good gun. The Notos is a really fum gun, my friend has one. He did some trigger work on it, and it really good now. You know I have several high-end airguns. I also have the Avenge X Classic in .25 caliber, and it is a tact driver past 100 yards. You need to give that one a try. They have several to choose from.
Another brilliant video Blocketh. Thought I would mention the Stoeger XM1 Rifle (not the carbine), I think it would match the JTS. More details for you about this rifle below (its a real 'goodun' believe me). I THINK YOU HAVE SAVED SOME VIEWERS TIME AND MONEY (IF THEY WERE DECIDING TO GET A NEW PCP) BY DOING THIS VIDEO, MACHO KUDOS TO YOU SIR! Yes, I am British and another (ex) hunter / pest controller, antique arms enthusiast and air gun purveyor-collector and also target shooter - on the other side of the 'pond'.
I wonder if when you dry fired the Notos with no air in the tank there was no back pressure to close the valve that the hammer was very likely still holding open. Preventing a seal and preventing the tank from filling. The air put into the tank from the compressor/hose is actually quite a small volume. I highly doubt the volume was enough to blow the valve closed, let alone hear it escaping through the muzzle of the gun. Its a shame too cause the Notos is a great little rig for the price. Regulated too.
Hi Johnny! I think if he just would of cocked it before trying to fill from empty it would have worked. Don't you think so? Have a great rest of your week and always looking for your next video. Take care brother!😊
@@stevengoodman3498 completely agree homie! Thank you! The weather is supposed to be pretty nice in the next few days. Hopefully I get a chance to get out an fire off a few rounds! Have a great week homie!
a good starter PCP would be the GAMO coyote/urban, i have had mine for more than a year now and have not cleaned it yet, but accuracy is still spot on and it came with a decent 3-9x40 AO Gamo scope, will be upgrading to some new glass soon
As always, great video! With the avenger you are going to need to mess with the regulator pressure a little. Start off at 2200 psi and work your way up. You'll find the sweet spot. Most of the 25 Avengers I have seen like it around 2400 psi. I have an Avenger in 22 that shoots lights out with the JTS 18.1gr pellets. One ragged hole at 50 yards most days. I set mine at 2100 psi. The Avenger is a great gun. Lots of aftermarket support for them too. I'm really liking that JTS Airacuda! Good looking gun and really accurate.
Putting a ground fire out with your jacket, now I’ve seen it all … 🤣 The almost would be accidental arsonist, becomes the Fire Marshall Bob “hero”, well done!😜 As always, thanks for another informing, as well as entertaining video!😊
The avenger has an externally adjustable regulator and hammer spring. I know you didn't really mess with any of the rifles but find tuning will greatly improve it's consistency and accuracy. Dime-sized groups out to 50 yards with slugs and pellets. It is not a very projectile picky rifle. I don't own one but the notos I've read has to be cocked to fill it from empty.
@@skylarpeters4997 I don't own jts PCP. I own air Venturi avenger air Venturi avenge X and a FX Maverick. A good scope is very dependent on your budget. Do you want to spend $100 , $500 or $1,000? I am using a fairly cheap athlon Argos 4-20x50 on two of my rifles.
@@heithwatkins I shoot all different kinds of projectiles and change the tune of my gun all the time. It definitely is easy to retune and not projectile picky at all.
The JTS looks like a winner! 🏆🙂👍 Gamo needs to shed all the plastic and catch up with the rest of the airgun industry. The rest of the PCP's that you tested are probably okay, especially with farther testing.
@@RonnieSprangerJr Yeah, the moderator helps and I can get follow-up shots. My only complaint with the gun is that the pin that pushes the pellet into the chamber bent a little bit, so now I'm stuck single loading. I tried contacting JTS, and they keep telling me to email and call this dude, but no one ever answers. I'm going to keep trying because I want to use magazines, but other than that, I love my gun.
Superb rifle and extremely accurate. Mine shoots dime sized groups at 40 yards in 25 cal using JSB pellets 25.39. if I want to hit something, this is the one I pick up to hunt with!😊
@stevengoodman3498 and it's quite quiet too! I shot my buddies dar and I was surprised to say the least. And the quality of the mags is beyond any $1200 pcp.
Watching from uk 🇬🇧 love my air rifles I own a Diana 22.spring break barrel good thing with Diana is they have been making them since war time so they years of research and tech into there gun.
I really think this was a advertisement for the JTS pellets, seriously I've never used those I generally stick with gammos and I might be switching now
Diana is now made in Germany and that been said the price here in the UK has gone up to a ridiculous amount. Great video as usual mate. By the way the rifle you couldn't fill needs to be cocked first before you attempt to fill it.
The Notos did that to me first time too, then i pulled the side lever back and hand pumped it and it was fine. the trick is to rack it once before you pump the very first time, i never had to do it again after the first pump, the NOTOS IS THE BEST!!!!! i promise its my favorite pcp ever made its amazing, needs a follow up video
Love your videos me and my wife Carmen watch all your videos. Great guns hopefully you can make a hunting videos with one of those. Groundhog. Blessings 🙌
I didn't either...until I bought one 😢. Terrible barrels. Mine was bent, crown looks like it was cut by a 10yo, clips pellets, loud, not moderator friendly. I'm not the only one that got one like that, search "Airacuda pellet clipping"
I'd get all of them. That notos will work. I have 2. Great carry guns and good out to 50yds with the right ammo. I've had luck with ammo in the 16gr range. Diff tools for diff jobs. That's how I look at it. Thanks for the videos
Got the airacuda in .22 waiting on my chronograph so i can tune it. It shoots straight but the current shot curve is over an inch and a half at 35.5 yards nearly straight up and down. If i count my shots i can get close. Ive noticed some guns out of the box shoot a much tighter shot curve with the jts
I have a .30 Brawn and have found it to be very pellet sensitive. Shot about 10 different pellets. The JTS Dead Center pellets are hitting the same hole at 30-35yards.
Im jealous at the fact that u guys can just go to the store and buy an air rifle meanwhile here i am dreaming of going squirrel hunting with an imaginary air rifle 😢😢😢 great video bro but i love the last two air rifles u especially the Avenger cause it shoots slugs as well. 👍
