13:36 “Hold up…gain…we’re cooking.” That music sync on the “gain” is perfect That last game too…petition for CGB to have good music on when he records gameplay. This made the games and the comments infinitely more epic
I actually really appreciate you saying that Brawl is much more like singleton legacy or modern because that explains a LOT about my experience with my Gitrog Monstrous Ride deck getting absolutely pubstomped
this commander is so fun. i didn't even think about the combo angles. but almost every other card is the same. gonna have to add Ao though. And yes, goblin trapfinder is insane in this deck. it was one of my first ideas for the deck.
I'm also running a non combo list, with a lower curve with only a few cards over 4 mana, and i have to say charming scoundrel won me so many games its kinda silly. Its draw, mana cheat and damage all in a single card.
I’m so excited every time you start up the brawl videos again 😎 I will say, I am not a fan of the background music at all lol. Very distracting. idk maybe it’s just too loud for me personally 🤷🏼♂️
When I was watching your stream replay my only criticism was that there was no reason not to play the overlords, they're expensive but by far the best top end in this deck. Nothing comes close imo
You can't target the enchantment with Balloon Man, only the creature. So, they aren't much more valuable in this deck than they are in others. They're busted, but they could be too slow for Brawl. At the very least, it's subjective and certainly not quintessential
@@jordantiburcio4541 There's no better enter/attack creatures on Arena besides Sun Titan or maybe Sanctuary Warden. Which you should also be playing as your top end, IMO. I understand the argument for them being too expensive, but Balloon Man gets the most value out of copying those creatures more than any others in the deck. I would probably play it over the whole combo line though since I don't think it's good but CGB probably wanted to go the content route so he played the untap creatures that are also expensive.
A fetchable Cavern would have to have some serious downside. Colored mana of a specific type, with a preselected creature type sounds like something they'll eventually do. Cavern of Vampire Souls. Swamp. Comes into play tapped. Either gives colorless mana or black mana that can only be used to play vampires or bats and makes those creatures uncounterable.
Brawl being so removal heavy made me second guess if I was sane. My Gev deck is like 30% "Stop touching Gev" cards like Ashnod's intervention and "Not Dead Afterall". I usually get 15+ life off my opponent simply by letting his ward resolve over and over before rescuing him.
I'm not saying this is why I instantly quit these types of matches (match 2), but it's makes for such boring freaking Magic. Also sounds like I'm listening to that one Warhammer 40k shorts maker.
