To the controller players, unbind auto melee and set that same button to charged melee only, this let's you still throw the hammer when in something's face
Got my first solo flawless (on Prophecy) last night, using exactly this build. It wont win any gameplay awards, I had to multi-phase each boss and almost died a bunch of times but I'm pleased to actually do it, and get that cool emblem. This was possible in no small part because of this excellent build breakdown. Thank you for putting together such a great build, and more generally, for all of your superb Destiny guides and gameplay.
I keep saying it,you can slap on any build handed to you but first get comfortable with it. Run lower content first and work your way up. I've experienced that some builds just not work for me because of my play style and yes level😂.
Thanks for showing the icon AND the name of the fragments together, helps to follow and understand why those could be used. Gonna give the Warlord’s dungeon a solo flawless try with this build.
I never used titan for dungeons and raids and now this season it’s my favorite to use. Great video with good information and you explained everything really well for people that are newer to the game. 👍🏽
Roaring Flames also gives stacks of scorch, therefore you can get an ignition. 4 punches for ignition, 3 with Ember of Ashes. Wont happen often, but useful to know.
i have been using this bulid for a while now and i have to say iam hooked plz keep on updating it ( if there is something to update ofcourse) and thank you so much for creating this master piece
My first ever solo flawless (and only) was Duality. I used Strand Titan with wormgods. First attempt was with Tractor cannon. I had the HARDEST time killing enough adds to keep my banner up because i ran iut of melees. So I thought for days about what I could do. And then I saw my favorite weapon in the ENTIRE game. Winterbite. Just reading its perks made me overzealous. It is BUILT for banner Titans even though it came out before banner of war. So I slapped it on, never once swapped ANYTHING in my loadout while doing the solo Duality. It took 2 hr 57 minutes to solo it for the first time. Four phase on first boss, three bell three phase against Caiatl. It went smooth. Hardest encounter was the second encounter just because of phalanx shields. I soon found out that a non-Winterbite melee COMPLETELY disregards the shield. And from there I had ONE other attempt at the solo. I went for solo flawless. It took me LESS THAN AN HOUR to finish the Solo Flawless and make Papa Rye happy. (Rylee Reloaded inspired me.) If you haven’t done this dungeon solo yet and can’t figure out the easiest way to do it… then put on Banner of War Titan and Winterbite. Duality is PERFECT for it because of the lack of explosive enemies (Winterbite shatters the corpses. Making them disappear in the process.) and the crazy amount of adds. The amount of “charge in headlong and fear nothing” is crazy. Heads up, Guardians. You can defeat this evil and take what’s rightfully yours.
Thanks for the video Tizzle. As always, excellent quality. The problem with the average player doing dungeons solo or in a team is that the content is extremely difficult for average players and the convoluted mechanics only make it worse. A 15% buff may be a lot to you but not to an average player. You might want to do carries so you can see what it is like for average players. Part of the problem Bungie is having now is, I believe, their complete indifference to the experience of the average player in Destiny. Everyone pays the same amount to pay but, with no access to new and interesting weapons, why would average players keep coming back?
I completed my first solo dungeon on my alt account, solely because of itzTizzle's great build advice. I'm not able to play with others; caring for a my 17 year old MinPin who constantly needs me. Much thanks.
I’m so glad I subscribed to this channel. Dude you are one brilliant in depth content maker. If not for you I wouldn’t have a half decent titan. My many many thanks!!! ❤
Thank you! I decided to give it a whirl in Onslaught. Exotic heavy was Dragon's Breath. Finished my very first 50 run, swapping for boss damage phases with Pyrogale! The only difference in fragments is that I chose Ember of Mercy over Solace because I wanted a bit more survivability/utility.
Hell yeah! That is a good change tbh. I just say solace for the survivability factor for a solo flawless. But I would prefer mercy too haha love it on my pyrogale build
This man makes the greatest, straight forward, no bullshit and mega informative high leveled Destiny 2 videos on this platform. It's not clickbait, it's not sensationalized content ... you know when other people go "THIS IS THE STRONGEST BUILD! USE NOW BEFORE NERF~ SOLO GM/ SOLO DUNGEONS" The difference is that I believe Tizzle when he says something lol like he's an engineer or in some field of STEM IRL or something with the way he matter of factly says things. He could tell me to delete one of my characters that I have 1,500 hrs on and if I do I'll get Flawless in Trials every week because of a bug that's undetectable and I'd be like "Welp, you're the boss 🫡 you'd never lie 🫡" Great job! I'll probably test drive this lil badboi soon
Thank you! I appreciate it! You aren't the first person to guess I am an engineer haha. So I will answer it here. I am a power engineer (Canadian thing). So technically not a real engineer. A tech diploma and not a degree. But I was always good enough at the math and physics I could've done engineering. Anyways, I will keep trying to bring informative content to the platform and hopefully teach people everything they want to know about the game. Have a series coming up this weekend that I am very excited for!
@@itztizzle Haha, thanks for replying! You're definitely a person that exudes a certain aura that I, for some reason, equate to engineers or someone in that type of field. So my STEM-dar wasn't wrong. Also, no need to downplay your position and what you're doing IRL you're doing very well. Degree or not that doesn't matter, that only means you're naturally a high-level thinker and a pragmatic person. I think that matters more than anything. Excited to see your future series! I'd actually be curious to see how a solo flawless end-game GOD does in Trials solo lol. Even if it takes you 47 hrs of back to back to back losses only upload the 7-win flawless to tout that you're Him (kidding)
Super video, many thanks for updating it. I like that you keep the weapons open, rather than tie them (and their perks) in to how the build operates. There's a lot of great solar weapons, so picking something relevant for the task is not difficult. I've been using your Skydock/Lament Lost Sector version of this ever since, but now I'll update it this version, a I learnt a few new things in this video alone. I do like a Solar Loader mod though, helps keep up the uptime on weapons like Sunshot. In my hands this build is still very killable, however. But this is user error, rather than any build shortcomings. I'll keep trying on Prophecy and may give Shattered Throne a go with it. Thnaks for posting! Great content, as always.
Also, the DiM link in the video is actually the triple surge DPS loadout switch setup, rather than the all-purpose survivability titan showcased in the vid itself.
As a titan only main who's been running this build since they reworked solar, it's literally the best (for me)...love how aggressive and destructive you can be while surviving most stuff easily. Never did any solo flawless but this season's solar mods made me wanna jump in....watched a couple of your guides, did Prophecy and Pit this week first try...on to Duality and Ghosts, maybe Warlords (only doing the ones that have cool emblems lol)
With recent updates and the new Red Death Reformed exotic, I find myself running a very similar build but with Consecration and Sol Invictus instead for a more damage-based build, with Red Death filling any survivability lost.
A massive thank you man! I didn’t know what game I was playing until I saw this video😢. I was pretty much playing CS2 instead of destiny 2 😂. Now all makes so much more sense! I’ll keep following you for updates ❤❤❤
Been using your videos to get through the dungeons solo flawless. I did Shattered Throne, Pit and Prophecy. 5 left. I have Warlords down but the corruption melee guys at the final boss have ruined 3 runs already 🤦🏻♂️ Much appreciate all your content and advice. Keep it coming !!
Try strand titan...you can suspend those guys with shackle nade and just punch them when you're ready...also the towering barricade will blind/stun them when they walk thru so they won't hit you
@@funtourhawk thank you. I actually prefer Strand Titan for that fight. The grapple melee is super clutch especially against those wizards. I think the issue is more of the melee not always registering when I transfer the corruption. Sometimes I have to melee the scorn guy two times my time management is just off. I’ll get it down. It’s just frustrating to have an entire run ruined by such a mid mechanic lol
I used this build (or something super close) to level my titan at the beginning of the season. It's so op that it's aaaalllmost as effective as running a fireteam
Definetely is the easier. For that reason I think your correct. However in my opinion the best build for dungeons in the game is sunbracers warlock. Sure it has a learning curve but the combination of perma restoration x2, the best add clear and well for boss damage rotation makes it the best for me. Great video as always!
I think all 3 classes have a solar build that is actually insane and which one is "best" is more based on your play style than anything else. I'm a warlock main, so karnstein/sunbracers/dawn chorus are wildly op. But tbh this titan build is super fun and almost brainless to play, and then the hunter lucky pants/celestial nighthawk build is a glass cannon that is so hardcore it shouldn't even be referred to as glass. Solar has always been the most fun imo though
Triple surge is nice but I typically still run 2 and a single harmonic scavenger, so I can recover in case I mess up. Not a big issue on raids (where everyone should be triple anyway) but it does matter a bit in solo since heavy ammo can be a hit or miss at time.
It’s the un-nerfable subclass. I basically never take Pyrogale off since I’m too lazy to hotswap, so I don’t get a neutral benefit. Even after the many, many nerfs I still had an easy time soloing everything except Ghosts, which I haven’t done yet. I wish Arc and Void had half the neutral-game power Solar does…
@@DarthDookieManyea tried the hot swapping thing yesterday and was throwing hard lol, I’m on PS5 it’s decently quick but I don’t wanna mess up my loadouts
Does Sunshot or Polarise Lance apply scorch? The Polarise Lance catalyst says it adds Dragonfly (elemental damage explosion) and The Perfect Fifth delivers a delayed explosive round. Sunshot delivers Sun Blast (Targets killed with Sunshot explode in Solar energy) and with the catalyst Sunburn fires explosive rounds.
I’m gonna try using this build on my titan I’ve only soloed the shattered throne but it was not flawless lol but I wanna solo flawless one dungeon in my life haha GG’s my guy!
Wow, okay, I use the DDC all the time, yet I had no idea that Firepower and Heavy Handed got changed so the more copies of the mod you have, the lower the timer is
The best way i've found to solo pretty much all dungeons so far has been with Arc hunter. The titan just doesn't get me there as 1. The hammer near enemies just won't procc and you say to bind it to double punch and i have done that but it still wifts. Ye ye skill issue and all of that but titan just doesn't cut it for me. I have also worked a lot with my warlock(main) but the same thing applies there, hunter have gotten me pretty much all of my flawless until i got stuck on the Spire dungeon, those bosses or just do damn tanky, and ghosts as well. Great dungeons but they are just so tedious.
No matter how many reworks and nerfs they do to Solar Titan, it's still the goat. It went from broken to being still the most well rounded amd solid Titan Build still.
Hey man what Armor are you using? I have a triple 100 build saved but I am trying to recreate this build as I have always been a Solar Titan. Did an Arc build for a while before we had loadouts and don't have all of the components anymore. However I would appreciate any and all guidance on getting the armor that is required for this build. I see your Resilience is 100, Recovery is like 33 (which is crazy low) and your Discipline is at 100. I for the life of me cannot completely recreate this build because I need the Stat boosters to get where I need to be currently. Again any guidance is appreciated. Thanks. I ran the hell out of this build in the Season of the Witch and it was AWESOME!! However my stats were not anything like yours.
Must say this build is definitely great for survival, especially the orb making with the healing mod, i paired with a healclip and ember of mercy and i just didn't die😂
Awesome vid - thanks so much. Your DIM has TWO SPECIALS listed for weapons. Witherhoard and Forbearance. Is this intentional? I thought double specials got whacked? Thanks Tiz!
Very good video for a fantastic build. Excellent explained. I am just wondering why in the most build videos for scavenger mods and siphon mods always explicit elements are chosen like Arc, Solar, etc. . Is there any drawback to use harmonic scavenger and harmonic siphon?
Does it matter to much if I only have like 50 strength? My resilience is 100 recovery is 100 and discipline is 100 just can't get the strength above 50??
Well big man I just went and did the solo flawless there. What a blast . Thank you so much . Your attention to detail with this game is nothing short of outstanding bro gibbo_son913 have a we look lol proud as feck ha ha
Ok, so a big question, I'm on console with a controller. How do you have your charged/uncharged melee buttons mapped? Because I have them both on the R1, so I'll only normal melee when I throw my hammer. Edit: Never mind lol I'm just dumb. I'm at work and didn't watch the video some more until just now and saw the plug for the other video.
Thanks man! new player here, very helpful :) quick question: if i dont want to use pyroglades - should i go with hammer of sol instead of burning maul? i heard i i use sol invictus, hammer of sol is the go to super
May I ask you a question? Why do you run Ember of Solace when you run Ember of Empyrean? On my Sola Hunter builds, I run Empyrean, Torches, Ashes, Char, Searing - with Knife Trick, On your mark and Knock em down. I haven't run Solace with Empyrean as they appear to do the same thing. And with Empyrean maxing out at 15 seconds, what does Solace add?
Solace makes that initial couple kills to get up to 15 seconds more forgiving. I'm noob, so sometimes I'll chuck a healing 'nade and don't finish the followup kills in time to get the resto rolling if I don't have Solace.
7:43 I just assumed everybody naturally set their controls up that way out the gate. They are such different attacks I mean why would you have them on the same button that makes no sense. Or maybe it's just me.
Lorely was a good option lol, kinda dumb they nerfed it and didn't change the description. I wish they would of added some Dr in pve at least, it's kinda pointless to run now. But use this now while solar abilities weaken enemies so you don't have to run tractor.
Horrible nerf for the hammer cooldown after pickup. I got back on after not playing for some months and immediately notice this horrible change. Felt terrible LOL
