The Best Camera Bags from $99 to $499 in 2022 

My pet peeves about camera bags: no weather resistant zippers; top flap that leaves holes on the sides; camera brand logos for theft advertisement.

Just got the Satchel and Page bag - I must say as a Camera Bag addict, I love that bag - the interior material is like a suede lining and the canvas is very rugged but flexible.

I've been through a bunch of bags; Crumpler, Domke, Tamrac, Urban whatever, etc. My current faves are the Hadley Pro Large and the Domke F-833. They're large bags, but I don't feel compelled to stuff them with gear when I go out. I also have a Billingham 307 that I absolutely love, but is rather impractical for my gear and what I want to do. Lately, since I've been eyeballing Leica gear I'm also on the lookout for a smaller, inconspicuous bag that won't make me as much of a target on the mean streets of Seattle.

📷 Great video! I've owned at least a dozen bags in the last decade, but right I have it pared down to just the Moment Rugged Sling and Moment 17l Backpack. Works for me and Moment is great for the money without going overboard or too cheap.

Man, and I thought I had a bag problem. 😆I'm using a small Artisan & Artist black canvas with leather trim messenger-style camera bag. It's light and red removable dividers, like in the Ona and Oberworth Leica/ Red Dot editions. It's perfect for 2 rangefinder bodies with attached small primes, an additional lens or two, a tablet and some accessories. I also use a Pacsafe sling when going really light or a Maxpedition military grade shoulder bag when I need something quite rugged and taking a simple kit.

Ona Bowery and Peak Sling 10L are my bags. Peak is great for its lightweight and protect well at the same time

That Satchel and Page is pure class.

Just got a PD 15L backpack. Needed a small compact bag that can fit a an iPad Pro 12.9 with bells and whistles. It can fit a gfx 50s with a 45mm 2.8 and tilt viewfinder. Plenty of space left too.

I picked up an ona bowery used for 60$... Best purchase ever. I use it almost every day.

I find shopping for a camera bag is harder than shopping for camera gear. I think I have more bags than my wife has purses.. My fav. is the Domke F-803 Fujifilm that my Leica gear now lives in. It's small and light and damn sexy....

I know this video is a bit older now, but which bag do you go to in the wet season here in Greater Seattle? I worry about the leather, but perhaps unnecessarily.

Can I fit a Canon R5 + 50 1.2 in the Satchel & Page bag?

ONA bags owner here: Some info. I own leather and canvas ONA bags and backpacks. I don't hear reviewers of ONA leather bags mention where these bags don't have leather so I just want to provide some information on this. For canvas, the canvas bags are made entirely of the rugged canvas fabric. This mean the main body of the bag is all canvas and then the exterior pockets are sewn on top of the main compartment. In contrast, ONA leather bags have leather on the entire "outside" portion of the bag but they vary in whether the back of the pockets are leather or fabric. For the Brixton bag, the area inside the two front exterior pocket is fabric. If you put your hand inside, you will feel that the back is fabric and not leather. The same goes for the two side slit pockets. Slip your hand or fingers inside and you will feel that the inside is fabric. The same goes for the back pocket. It is all fabric. This saves on leather hence the bag costs less to make but also the bag is less heavy. It is up to you if you feel that your leather luxury camera bag MUST be all leather. Each ONA bag varies in where they have fabric on the inside section. My Brooklyn bag is all leather aside from the area behind the rear pocket. That section is fabric. My Clifton leather backpack is all leather everywhere so you'll feel the leather in every pocket. The only section that isn't leather if the back, that section has a breathable mesh like fabric to aid in ventilation. I don't think anybody would complain but I do own completely leather shoulder bags and backpacks so just want people to know what you're getting with ONA leather bags.

I have the ONA Bond Street and Bowery in Antique Cognac Leather. Lovely quality bags.

I love my Brevite camera bags. Probably need a shoulder bag at some point though.

How does the Ona Prince Street do against the Bowery and Satchel & Page sling?

Camera bags should always open like the Fuji bag with the lid opens out from you your body and not in to your body like most bags. Some years ago I saw a bag where the lid opened out from the body and at the same time formed a shelf where you could sit a Lens or the Camera when changing Lenses or shifting battery or memory card, do anyone know what camera bag that is ?

Which bag is best for me, I do street photography, weddings, Bat Mitzvah's, and birthday parties?

📸 I really love peak design everyday backpacks for my gear, as it's a very well thought through, however, for the warmer time of the year I prefer slings, and their slings don't really appeal to me, and so was great to learn about the Moment Rugged Camera Sling. Thanks for sharing!

Benj Billingham bags are great camera bag too You should give it a try I think ONA bags are just ok their use of hardware is a bit looks cheap and price wise they’re high

I want to love that moment bag, I got the fujifilm version when it first released. I find it really awkward and uncomfortable when using it in the street. The quality is very very good and I’ve been forcing myself to use it more hoping I can get used to it. Awesome video, I have an unhealthy bag obsession.

I own several Ona bags and all of their clips broke. I see this is the case on your Brixton too. Their "brass" parts suck. Otherwise, the are very beautiful and I love my leather Prince Street.

You should condition your leather - it will come back to life quite easily. Get a cream based conditioner, let it sit in there for half hour or so, buff it out and let dry. Get a wax based cream for a more durable "outer coat" which should make it as good as new. .

Got that KISS meaning KEEP IT SIMPLE well you know the last word...
