Ive stayed at that exact site! I love this park. The sand is definitely not messing around. I now have an off road teardrop and I won’t be taking it through the sand.
another great video my friend, this is one of my all time favorite roads. My family used to do it in May or very early June as our first camping trip of the summer, A whole different experiece then with the creek high, Ive seen water over teh hood on a lifted full sized cherokee on 33s and mud near the top that would swallow said SJ. I last ran it down from the top having crossed the Sangres over Hayden pass near Villa Grove and then out through the dunes. either way its a fun fun trip. We should talk about some other southern colorado trips you might enjoy, the Saguache area is fantastic
