So basically you invented a candle driven crock pot. :) They too take all day at low heat to cook things, but they sure turn out to be tasty!! ;) What a grand idea!!
yes, basically... but a crock pot works with electricity. This can be used in an emergency, power outage, stormy wet day camping, homeless people could use this in a tent, I think this could save lives in an emergency. I actually use this quite often.
I have been fixin to set up a candle heater in my living room, and a candle stove in my kitchen, just to cover me in power outages etc. Thanks for proving it CAN be done. 😀
amazing. I have been wondering about these(tealights) lately. they can at the very least warm up water during power outages. You can also make hot coffee or chocolate or just heat a meal. an extremely safe and underrated tool.
That's amazing! Very useful stove, I've had power outages last hours and something like this would have kept me inside instead of getting a wind chill in the storm just to heat water on the porch with my alcohol stove for a coffee or soup. Thanks for sharing this.
It's fascinating to watch this. I've seen other videos about cooking on candles, but it never gets old, and I can see how proud you are of your beautiful stove. I was wondering if one could use cinderblocks to make a square, leaving just enough of a crack where they join to let some air in for the flame, and the candles can sit on a plate or piece of wood. Maybe it could also be used with small wood pieces for outdoors. I know they make rocket stoves like that which are much bigger, but I'm trying to think of something that would work on top of a table. Even red bricks it seems could be designed to make a candle "hut" to keep the heat in, with a pan large enough that would simply sit on the bricks. Keeping some bricks or even stones around to make a campfire to cook on in an emergency just makes sense. Thank you for sharing your video and your lovely pets, too.
FANTASTIC ! Thats amazing in those cold temps and you got a good meal there. I have to watch the video on how you made the stove now lol. I would think with a metal 3 sided box would hold more heat on the pot from the wind and cook in less time out doors like one of those folding metal back splashes for cooking grease and it would also be easy to pack and take along as a shield from the wind .Hope that helps next time if you can make or find one .
Yes I agree, that would work better. I normally use it indoors. A viewer of my other videos ask how well it would work in cold conditions so I made that video to find out and I was amazed at the results. Honestly I expected the candles to blow out but they worked perfectly. Thanks for watching.
No, it is one of a kind and I don't have the ability to mass produce them so the price would be very high, thanks for your interest, have a nice day. :)
@@cookingwithcandles That's what Go Fund me is for. Alot of people could benefit from this product, plus if you could make an oven attachment to this--BOOM !! I think a lot of people here would back you.

Very cool but a fire and cast iron pot works well to. People been cooking with fire since people rubbed sticks together. I want to cut the heating bill down
well yes duh , and a bbq works even better but you can't cook inside with either, most of my vids are cooking inside and the only reason that this video is outside in the winter is to show how well it actually works to cook a meal in an emergency situation. If I can cook outside in the snow with a breeze then anyone can cook with it. Most people don't live where they can have a fire or even find wood to have a fire. My candle stove and pot can be used in any situation. If you want to cut your heating bill try wearing a sweater and turn down your thermostat.
The stove and pot in this video is one of a kind and I don't want to sell it, but if you check out this video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8G7bYTLNuM0.html , and then this video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FHTUKcniD2U.html , you can buy a stove like the one I used to cook the entire pot roast meal in a regular pot. email me twoxl@live.com if you're interested. I make them mostly with used Tin Cans I recycle into these handy little stoves. I charge $50 CAD plus shipping and handling ( S&H is quite reasonable through PayPal ) Thanks for your Interest
The pot is the main secret to cooking with candles, I have three layers, the pot had an aluminum shield around it to keep the heat and then a stainless shield around that. I also put tin foil under the cover to retain the heat. with that pot I can cook anything on this simple candle stove ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y5M0fjOJGZE.html ) that I can cook on my fancy candle stove. In a pinch the simple stove will do

I made this from an old bunn coffee maker and some tin cans, check out the simple one, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y5M0fjOJGZE.html .. the secret is the pot, my pot has 3 layers to keep the heat in plus the foil under the cover make 2 layers on top.
never leave candles unattended, that being said this stove has never overheated, I have used it many times with 4 tea lights and no problems but if you modify the candles to burn hotter, ie. using larger wicks or more candles you could have a problem.
I really don't want to sell this pot and stove, I do make other stoves if you're interested, they actually work better than this one and you can use a regular pot. if you're serious about buying this setup email me at twoxl@live.com and make me an offer I can't refuse :)
@@jimlewis4646 if you would email me at, twoxl@live.com , we can discuss this further, I can send you pic's of my new 5 tea-light stove , $50 plus shipping & handling , I can accept $ through paypal and they are quite reasonable for shipping charges, if you email me your address I can give you an exact price.
