Late to the party. I had the exact same issue with a used Dolmar 5105, once I replaced the ZAMA carb it worked fine. It must have seen ethanol in it‘s early years and damages Passage ways you cannot see. I just purchased a used MS460 Arctic and it is a remarkable saw!

I run an older model 046. Ive got a 28in windsor bar .404 chain and a 32in oregon power match .404 chain ❤ from pnw oregon

Did you take your carb apart? Ethanol hardens the diaphragms, & nothing flows. If this is the case, your fuel pressure is essentially 0.
