I mean let's be honest in not even I big Tekken fan and I can admit Feng is one of the sickest fighting game Characters I wish Doa had Characters like him only Goated character we got is Hayabusa the rest either alright or mid
@@thatpersoneveryoneknowsbut7533 I've only played DoA5 roster but why isnt anyone else cool like Hayabusa? Do they need crazy ninja moves or something?
@sobervision1049 well I don't mean gameplay wise just mean as characters in general like Brad's my guy but most of them are kinda generic but not talking gameplay I love Doa as a game but none of them really feel iconic enough Jann Lee is alright I like him better than Law Eliots okay I guess Leon is cool Zack meh Hayate ehh he's alright Genfu is cool but I think you get what I'm saying
@@nimishibalnyon8143 B1 Ch does 44. A 10 FRAME NON-LAUNCHABLE CH. His combos do half life on average. His unseeable low launcher do half life if he has heat.
@@reservationatdorsias3215 His unseeable low launcher only accessible from backturn that is death on block and needs clean hit? B1 was already nerfed from -10 to -12, and other characters have 10 frame ch tools that are just as strong if not better His damage isn’t even that high outside of walls, tf are people talking about lmao
@@nimishibalnyon8143 i mean. . .the bt low has to be clean hit, i'd be broken if it wasn't, but seeing all the strings that lead him to point blank bt and then the fact that he practically gets a free bt mixup in heat from the tornado kick thing, it kinda stacks. But he does do a lot of damage depending on the stage. Of course walls would do more, but the reward he gets from very basic and low risk mixups (like that safe mid launcher) inflates the amount of times he's getting a knockdown. I don't think he should be nerfed into the ground, but a couple tuning patches would be fine. It's an absolute struggle to play him, even knowing the matchup.
"We heard about your complaints and we decided to give Feng Wei a launching 1+2 break throw as well as a ground breaking 2 break throw and a wall splatting 1 break throw. We really hope this will make your experience playing the game greater."
The entire point of choosing a character is to fit one own play style the best. If you have damage + frames you can't have that evasion, if you have evasion + frames + utility you cant have damage too. It is really simple to see what each character can/can't do and some of them are clearly over the board. And I'm not even considering shit like power crushes/pc heat engagers just by looking at that you can tell who's going to struggle and who's not.
All the free stuff on ch, sweet frames on punishes and his offense flows so well no matter what. He has an answer for for everything, there’s no locking him down, but he can lock you down.
Despite character moves. Tekken 8 for me is a pain because of the damage popular characters have. Even from just pokes. 3-4 hits can easily land you 50-70%. Heatsmash 45-60%. Rage art 40-60%. You guess wrong once and it's either you are on life support or fishing in the afterlife. It leaves no room for mistakes unless you got nerves of steel like most pros or top players do. Defense exists but it's like hiding behind wet cardboard against a brick.
I still remember when Feng got uber-buffed in the season 4 patch of Tekken 7, and has basically stayed there and only gotten light wrist-slaps in subsequent nerfs. JDCR in one of his streams was explaining why it was a problem, when one guy asked: "He has had this since T7 launch, why is he broken now?" to which JDCR replied: " because his damage was low. He had low to below average punish and combo damage both, which effectively balanced out him all super moves" looking at this video, it still holds true. The only way to properly balance this character is to give a damage nerf across all of his moves.
Actually the Parry change was due to Forward Kenpo Tech > 2(Bao Dan Po) which is a Power Crush that leads to so many frames of being Invulnerable to any attack.. It still works though and is not that impacted by the nerf since the changes only affects the Startup and of course it is not reactable when used to counter. It leads to a full combo as well on normal hit.
I feel like feng is their benchmark for what Tekken should be, or where they want it to go. Seems like most new chars are getting the hard read tools that feng has had for a minute like kenpo and ch high crush lows
I found a bug, if you block his 3+4 in heat and get the ground stump... IF YOU CROUCH to block lows and duck highs/throws in the BT mix, his BT 1 WHICH IS A HIGH IS GUARANTEED IF YOU DUCK and followed up by shoulder. It is a bug, and they never fixed it even though I mentioned it twice...
@zangana3052 it is kind of a feature. Whats happening is that your neutral guard isnt active at -12, and youre holding down instead of back to block. You literally dont have time to duck because of the stun animation. Definitely needs a nerf but theyll probably just add another +1 frames to his parry startup and call it a day
@@kingkino2116 I get you, but you are mistaken. BT 4 is 10i and you can duck and launch when you're -12 after blocking 3+4 in heat. I lab my stuff broski. haha.
@@viniciuslessa3480 shaheen is a monster and you didn't see him that much. Some people just don't play certain characters. Feng still isn't played too much across the player base, regardless of his win rate.
@@viniciuslessa3480 kinda. Some characters like Feng are visibly insane, but there are plenty of characters that are underplayed in how good they are. Feng just needs tuning, that's all. He shouldn't have literally a perfect version of every tool in the game. I mean, his literally existance invalidate Leo as a character. He's just Leo on crack.
I've been a Feng player since his debut. I bought Tekken 7 in the season 2 phase when everyone said he is tricky but takes a lot of effort to damage and has poor travel with his combos. I vowed to master him for the game but as soon as his weaknesses were fixed its been annoying to play with him because I feel less rewarded for skill and a lot of players lab him.
I think his df4 mix-ups deserve a mention. df4,3 is mid, high and a natural combo. The first hit has long reach, start up frame is 15, the second hit is safe on block, and +15 on hit. So if the opponent doesn't respect it and don't try to duck the second hit, you can spam df4,3 with impunity.
He already did a video about DEN 3 and uf3+4,4 Other than that Lars isn't bullshit and is more or less the same as he has always been albeit with some minor buffs.
Has Feng Wei won ANY major tournaments? He seems to top a lot, but every time I watch footage of him in a tournament (I main Feng so I watch him a lot) he's losing. So until he begins to dominate the tournament scene by winning, he won't receive any significant nerfs. Because truth is, he's not the easiest character to pick up. He needs ALL of his tools to deal with heavy rush down characters, and that's a lot to commit to memory. As good as he is, he seems to be lacking that EXPLOSIVENESS of other characters like Reina and Victor. Which is why they usually come in higher in tournament placement.
Question; would replacing Feng back 3 with his original back 3,3 from T7 make him more balanced? I mean personally, I just like the animation of that move more sooo......
@@mr.almezeini647 No. But it definitely implies that he's not as strong as everyone is crying about. Maybe he's harder to play than people give him credit for???
I feel like she's going to be next on the chopping block instead of feng. They always did that to her in every single game to make sure she remains at the very middle of the tier list
I was looking for this video. As a feng main stuck in Garyu I feel personally attacked.... but I'm taking notes 😂 Please tell me more. Strings, frame traps, all the bs is welcome 🤣
For tha feng mains that might not know about this, when u use shifting clouds (f3+4) 2, if ur holding b, it puts him into his bt options without seeing tha bt animation, so after hitting f3+4, 2, hold b during 2, then u can do all bt options instantly, its so quick, no-one sees it coming
So. Gr8 video as usual. Theres a couple honorable mentions i feel obligated to share. So pub stomper db222.. obvi not good. But against caz as im saying, free af. And it too.. launches. Db22, launches. In this game. On normal hit, low low. True story. He also has insane buttons an frames on f32 -3?? Db14 -2??? They are both his. But he has mid follow ups off both of these first moves F34.. hit confirmable launching string.. mortal kombat move.. fr. F34 an f32 is literally what made feng my personal favy char when i first started playing And a MUST mention imo Feng also has a backswing blow.. that launches.... on CH nbd. Maybe u did mention the backswing blow.. im hopin not. But ne way, ya. Fengs pretty good.. d4 1+2.. low mid. -10 if they block it. Pretty good.
you often complain about Feng since Tekken 7, on the other hand you don't talk about the just indecent buffs of Bryan, Leroy and Zafina Besides, Feng's combo damage has been nerfed which I find totally absurd since absolutely all the characters in the game have high combo damage.
dude even complained about b,f1...first it is a 20 year old move. Second, like how many times do people even eat this move. If u eat it, u wouldve eaten a snakes edge... The only person i see who can land this reliably is titanthor to begin with. Even Hao gets smoked having his b,f1 blocked and knee never uses it in tourneys, its literally a non tourney viable move. "butbutbut u can now get a full launch outta it" - mainmanscrub So can u from a dorya
I love watching a Feng pop heat and get to use these absurd moves multiple times but as Lars I get an armored tackle that does nearly no damage into a mix that may only be hard to read due to all the visual effects. Speaking of, I kinda wish Lars got that motion blur from T6. Anyways, a weak tackle and two attacks get upgraded to do something they should already do on counter hit, one of those moves being an attack that used to be a decent option out of monkey flip but was removed to make monkey flip exclusively a tracking tool to punish mashers at a distance. Oh and now limited entry cost heat but you can still hop kick it on reflex. Now you just have a sound effect to signal it. And there's no reason LE 2 shouldn't be a proper launcher and even less of a reason for it to so consistently float enemies near a wall and not splat. That's easily of the poorest interactions with a wall that I see in this game. Lars can land LE 2 almost right against the wall and get no splat as if he's supposed to follow up with Devil Jin's U1+2. And really? You can't low parry that long reaching headbutt low from Feng? That's unintuitive especially when you consider how easily special lows are parried and they're most of the answer to all the dumb pressure in the game. And some rare few redditors will justify the high power crush heat engager by saying it can be blocked. I don't think they understand the purpose of power crush. What's more annoying is that after engaging, they can use the move again to heat dash into a full combo and being a 2 combo game, chances are that if you've already taken some block damage and ate a clean heat engager in the first place, you're dead. And for whatever reason, only the strongest characters can do this.
Not a single feng in top 96 combo breaker, no one mains him despite being the “best” character, and you don’t see him that frequently in ranked either. You have yet to convince me that he’s broken, and he won’t be touched because he was already nerfed once (rightfully) and has 0 representation anyway.
word. These onlinescrub tier lists are lies. All of them are designed to downplay there own mains (speedkicks placed whoooeeerang in the lower middle of the pack, while mainmanscrub downplays kazuya) while overexaggerating other characters.
meanwhile "s tier xiaoyu" are never seen in tourneys and "s tier fengs" are only seen by character specialists who have been playing him for a decade or longer.
I agree he's not op or broken people overhype but defiantly was a feng player at combo breaker placed 25th mateo played off stream check and look at standings
utbutbutbut he was SSSSSSSSS tieeeerrr buddy! didnt u hear, mainmanscrub said so!! all da tournament playas are just fooulzz for not pickin "s tier" they woulda win da tourney easily if they did. cept that all da guys who did pick feng, got kicked out early somehow.
I was told favoritism doesn't exist in Tekken and that I needed to practice more by a Jin main in Tekken 7. I wonder what he's up to now... -Raven Main
He's strong, but not as strong as peak Dragunov, Nerfing him will do something that happened to CNT Claudio, he became way too honest and now no one uses him
Waiting for Raven to get sidestep moves, 15f launcher, back turn low poke, wr2 normal hit launch, launching orbital, back turn sidestep buff, 4,1 buffed to mid high, bt f4 mid extension, and new while running 1, 2, or 4 with clone extension for mix on heat engage. Am I asking for too much? I am hard stuck kishin because I have to use 200 times more brain cells to play this character than anyone else on the ladder 😭
@@dra631 bro we got 2 extra plus frames on bt f4 hit, and full crouch df3 now has crouch dash 3 input. Also BT f3 got buffed to have extra plus frames and better counter hit confirms. Let's see if this makes Raven better than B tier... I doubt 😭
@@dra631 I still have to use 300% of my brain and my hellsweep clones are still whiffing on volcano causing me to lose the match I'm gonna fucking s-cream
The only high heat engager thats a serious problem is victors, that shit shouldnt be i15 frames or azucenas high crushing power crush. Asukas got a high power crush heat engager and its not that good x
@@TheMidian46what are you smoking crack? This character is broken in 8 and was high tier at worst through all of T7’s life cycle. This character has so much OP shit that if you got rid of half of it he’d still be on top

"Feng is the strongest character in the game". This does not help my ego as my brother beats me 20 matches in a row with Victor. I need excuses, and you're killing me, MainMan.
