I have both the Sorinex Bulldog and the Pritchett Pad. Love both. If I had to go with only one, I would probably pick the Pritchett Pad. The landmine options are too good. All the fly movements and rear delt movements are ok, but I wouldn't pick one or the other based solely on that. I mean, you can do flys and rear delts on a regular bench or adjustable bench. But you can't landmine chest supported row on any of them but the Pritchett.
While this was obviously a round-up of the 'full size' options, one thing I like about the 60mm version of the BOS pad is that it will mount to their cable towers, which provides all sorts of additional options.
@@CasaKeepers how is it? do you like it? Surprised he hasn't reviewed it sooner. I have the BoS but it's so restrictive. has to turn to mount instead of just straight in and lock it with pins
Nice one Coop. I'm the bloke that made the prowler / sled with the VW gearbox - I saw your message about wanting to see it; it was nicked (stolen) from my driveway earlier in the year. I wanted to send you a photo of it because it was f******g brilliant. I'm going to build another one, but with some upgrades. I'll send you the photos when it's built it you like. Namaste x
The bells of steels works with one inch racks. I have used it on my rack. I have since purchase a adapter on Amazon so now it's a 1-in poll instead of a 5/8 in
I just ordered the BOS. Great price too. I would have considered the Sorinex but I have RML and the Sorinex is for 1" holes. Great video Coop. BTW, if you ever see my wife, run for your life. I blame all home gym purchases on your slick production skills and excellent dad jokes.
Kaizen DIY has a video on how to make it from wood for the ultimate budget attachment. I've been using a wood bulldog pad for over a year and it's been great.
There are also several companies that make 5/8 to 1in holes adapters so even if you don’t have keyholes you can use 5/8 attachments on your 3x3 1in holes
I realize the review is purely about the pads. But, I think for those that don't realize it Sorinex does sell the Hang Row attachment for their Bull Dog pad adding extra versatility. Yes an additional cost but possibly added benefit? Not sure I don't have a dog in the fight no pads for my home gym...yet!
Would love to see a full review of the Stray Dog GOAT. It can be configured as a row pad, but - with some of the offered attachments - it can do leg extensions/curls etc. Seems like a lot of versatility for the price (especially when compared to the Sorinex bulldog pad which can only do one thing).
@@reconstructionwouldhavesav9472 Must be from the home gym discord. Those guys love sucking off Stray Dog, Gymway, Surplus Strength, and of course, American Barbell!!!!!
Great accessory attachment to use with any of the chest supported pads out there (except the Pritchett Pad) to position the barbell most optimally would be the collab piece between RogueCrusher and Oak Club Mfg. called the Jay-M. Mounts on single upright like a J-cup and balances barbell allowing for racking and re-racking and allows for loading barbell without tipping.
I bought the BOS version and I also use it every upper body day. Rows, curls and rear delt flys primarily. I can't get into pressing with it. It is my most used rack attachment.
Hey coop!! Love your content. While I have a bare bones gym at home, I am a truck driver, so I am rarely at home. For me and many others this means that I don’t have access to my normal equipment, nor is it easy to get my rig into a parking lot where a commercial gym is located. Combine that with the long and odd hours that professional drivers work. I have to get a little creative in how I get my workouts in. Plus I don’t see much point in paying premium membership fees to a gym when I can just buy the equipment that I want and need and have it forever. Also space and weight in the cab is a delicate balance. I’ve got a set of power blocks that fits my needs perfectly, since I don’t need a rack like with nubells and I’m not hauling around hundreds of extra pounds. I want to use my power blocks to their full potential, but to do things like a bench press means I have to bring a yoga mat with me and try to find a clean place to workout near my truck. truck stops and rest areas are dirty, you don’t want to be laying on the ground where some unsavory people have urinated. Or in the grass where their dogs have relieved themselves. Can you recommend a bench that is collapsible that I could stow in the cab of my truck!! Thank you. Much love. BIG ED
GGR, the best is to combine the ROGUE INDY T-BAR ROW with the Pritchett pad. I never take off my Pritchet pad from the rack. which goes with the first biggest mistake most people make in the home gym. not centering the rack in the room so you can use all sides of it.
Only thing I would have like to see was some discussion about the pendulum attachment for the Bulldog pad. Looks like you have the older version. I wanted the Bulldog pad but ultimately went Pritchett (already have the landmine) because I was more interested in a fixed pivot point. The Bulldog and the Pendulum (which doesn’t have the free shipping) would have run me close to 700 which I had in my cart…. Instead Went Pritchett and bought a back-widow attachment for less. Will def buy a bulldog or if I ever see one on marketplace.
When are you guys going to review ATX stuff? Their new benches look to be Rogue/Rep level beefy but with a full ecosystem of attachments. Something no other equipment manufacturers in the home gym space are doing
Would this work for hip thrusts. My bench is too high on heavy hip thrusts or my bench moves on me. I need something sturdy to lean my upper back on. Any other suggestions for hip thrust set ups in my garage. Thanks 😊
Rogue Jammer arms the worst purchase of my 50k gym. Worst version possible for every exercise it offers. I use them for stretching lats, handles for calve raises only.
Are these still useful if you have a good adjustable bench? Thinking about buyinf a rep blackwing and was planning on using it for chest supported rows
The Pritchet pad is very useful if you use landmine attachments or want to use a bar instead of dumbbells. if you only use dumbbells\kettlebells, you don't need it. the bulldog bad isn't necessary if you have good adjustable bench.
Could you do me a huge favor? Can you measure the uprights of the rep rack? They say they are 3 inches but apparently they are produced at 75mm. If so, does the Bulldog Pad fit on the Rep Rack? Greetings from Metric Germany
Hey Coop . Would you be able to review the Xmark FID bench . I herd Xmark makes good products but there's not alot of reviews on there products . Thanks David.
I used to own the Xmark Xm-7630 FID bench. It was very beefy and the padding was thick and dense. My only issue was that in the flat position the height was 19.5". I ended up selling it to get a Rep Fitness AB-3000 2.0, which has the dense CleanGrip pads and a height closer to 17" in the flat position.
Do not ! Use purchase the revolt one ! I received it as a gift and my gf told me it took a whole month to ship when it had said it would be 2-3 day shipping . Also once it came in the wholes were so mismatched that it wouldn't fit onto the rack besides one hole that lined up
@@MrSuperPsymon There's a clearance factor in an adjustable bench where you can't pull the bar up to your chest and get a good squeeze of your lats and back. You might be hindered by the frame that keeps you from getting a larger range of motion.
is this channel ran by a sellout? clearly not someone experienced in athletic training... all of this can be bought for much cheaper and probably longer lasting 😂😂
of course you'd start the review first with, review for the longest length, and recommend the crappy chinese one that the company sent you for free. this is why people don't trust or watch your reviews anymore.
