I've driven one of these, and they're not bad at all. Compared to, say, Achielle, they're a bit lighter even. However, were I to be a purist I would prefer the latter since it still uses external lug-welded steel frames, which gives a more classical look than these ones.
Hi there! The chainguards are an optional accessory. We currently do not have any stock of the Pelago chainguards however, we carry Hebie Chainglider cases that can be made to work with the drivetrain of either of these bicycles. We would recommend a mechanic to install it as it would require the removal of the ring guard on the crankset and new chain ring bolts.
