Omg Patrick i just found this channel, i used to have the biggest crush on you when you co-hosted the Screen Savers on the old Tech TV! Had no idea about this channel! Woot *subscribed*
Oh Cindy... Im sorry to tell you. They just canceled this show so won't be seeing much of Patrick from now on. There is of course the years of shows already shot.
Their last full episode they announced it at the end that that was the last episode. Discovery cancelled them. You can tell it was coming the way shows and hosts have been disappearing like crazy the past few months. Its very sad.
Followup on the question, : ended up getting a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series for just under $900. It's 720p, touchscreen, 8 GB of RAM, and i7. Still breaking it in, but it's great.
the new toshiba chromebook 2 went on sale for $279, not bad for 1080p 13" display, fanless intel cpu, 4gb ram, ssd, and the 100gb of google drive for 2 years
Have a Yoga 2 Pro for college that runs software like MATLAB, Adobe suite and Solid Works well. Not perfect at all (solid works can be slow when you do heavy stuff), but good. I would definitely recommend building (or buying i guess) a PC in the $500 range for your dorm/apartment and a something like the HP Stream for class. I have found that I end up doing most of my work at home in in the computer labs on campus anyways so having a portable PC with capabilities is less important. Your situation could very though. A $500 PC should be able to smoke the Yoga 2 and most other laptops. If you must go with a laptop then the Yoga 2 is a great option.
Well i got a v7 750m Nvidia 8GB Of DDR3 RAM 1TB Slim HDD WD Blue 14-inch i forgot the resolution but look very nice Intel Core i5 i think 4200u i got it for about $699 CAD and got a discount by showing my School Go Card Also Touch :) Very Fast
The undead corpse of Tekzilla marches on. I wish they would just stop and let it die instead of getting my hopes up. I'm sure they will deliver a one two combo and kill Hak5 next. All while garbage like SourceFed keeps going. At least Revision 3 hasn't gone all BuzzFeed on me with a whole show dedicated to catchy titles with no real content... like 5 Holiday DIY Gift Ideas or 6 Extremely Strange Wedding Traditions... glad they haven't done that yet... well Anyhoo
The Aftermath I have used Linux before. I have used Windows since childhood. I am interested in VM's,but I am not sure if the resources are taken up on my laptop or are they virtual.
