So you mentioned that there is no turn 2 response to lilo+simba. I run lefou in my ruby/steel list just so I can ready my opponents' simba on my turn 2 and attack their lilo with my turn one play. I'm not sure if people are missing the text but it feels pretty solid every time it happens.
One sapphire combo that interesting is mufasa king of the pride lands , alongside either belle inventive engineer, or Winnie the Pooh having a think, or Judy hoops optimistic officer.

A one I find fun but haven't tried myself YET. Emerald/Sapphire: Aurora Briar Rose for -2 strength, The beast is mine to force your opponent to challenge next turn and whatever character you want to be challenged sing the song for free.
Briar Rose's -2 only lasts the turn it's played, so it's for trading into it favorably in your turn, it would not last into the turn your opponent's character would need to attack with reckless
You can speed that up a turn as well turn 1 do whatever turn 2 one jump ahead to give you 3 going into turn 3 turn 3 ink puts you at 4 so you can Belle the turn 4 belle + ink for turn lets you Robbin hood on turn 4
Ruby Amethyst is getting out of control...no pun intended. But as of lately, they adjusted to the different meta changes...and every turn they have an answer...im in matches where i literally cannot play because they removed every card, then they remove each card i bring out after that. i fell in love (as many did) early with lilo + simba so went berserk and made a Amber-Amethyst Lilo x Maleficent 1 drops, featuring of course simba and then Just in Time to get all the 5 cost bodyguards down on t3 (to follow Simba)
