@@nikkikuraiI agree that he can’t do it on his own, but Portugal can win it if they actually play as a team. There are some games where they do amazing and some games you question the team. The national team has players who have great talent, but the problem is they don’t really “work together”. If they played more like a team, they would be unstoppable.. like in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
@@nikkikurai i honestly like to think as Portugal as PSG for example, they have what on paper is a super team with some of Europe’s top elite players, seasoned veterans, and of course Ronaldo who is a combination of both. However just like PSG, the amount of quality on their team is precisely their downfall, too many good players = too many inflated egos, why did Argentina do so well this World Cup? They brought in a bunch of young mostly unknown players in 2019, soon they were making their own names for themselves, their loyalty to Messi was always front and center. Portugal has too many players who think they’re best, their loyalty to Ronaldo who is easily the greatest player in their country’s history alongside Eusebio is debatable! We can always hope that Portugal taking in some younger players like Joao Mario and Antonio Silva help balance the team out and that they can win euro 2024 and the big prize in 2026, it’s only hope at this point, but hope is something that true aficionados never loose.
