I love the Candid by Revlon but the Maybelline Age Rewind on me is an age increaser. Every time I have tried it my under eyes immediately shrivel up into a million wrinkles I didn't know I had.
You are not the only one! I tried Age Rewind in my late teens, it made my under eyes looked older than they do now at 38! I tried it a couple times since, with no luck! I gotta try Candid!
I just tried Rewind this week and put very little on there but it did well for me. I used less foundation as well and it blended in and didn't seem to cake etc. I guess we just have to try a zillion things. I'm going to try her top 5 though.
I immediately went upstairs and put on a full face of light makeup as I’m not going out today. I have the Kosas and Candid concealers. Trying both in a face off but setting with Laura Mercier powder. Tomorrow I’ll do the same without setting powder. Stay tuned for results. FYI, foundation today was Milani 2 in 1 conceal and perfect. I’ll use the same tomorrow. Edit: For my dry 58 yr old complexion, I super hydrated and I tried Kosas vs Candid, then Kosas vs Tarte Shape Tape. In both cases, after 12 hours of wear, the Kosas won. And lightly setting the concealer worked the best on all of them. ✌️
I'm 49, my under eye has been an issue since I was 20. Thanks to my genetics, I inherited dark circles, hollowness, and eye bags. However I noticed a drastic change when I hit 40, and especially at 45. More wrinkles, dryness/crepeness. I've been taking much better care of my skin, especially the under eye in the past few years, and it actually looks better than when I was 40! 😄 And I only use drugstore products too..no botox or filler...Yet...😄 I've tried MANY concealers but, the one I keep coming back to isn't a concealer per se, but a cream to powder foundation that acts like a concealer and "filler" because it's a bit thicker. It's Cover Girl Outlast All Day Ultimate Finish foundation. I also use the LA Girl peach color corrector first, then apply just a thin layer of the foundation over it. I get a little creasing, but when you get to be my age, it's just going to happen no matter what. Just a quick little tap and the creasing is gone. I also find it's more hydrating than other products too, and definitely fills in my hollow areas much better than just a regular concealer. It also acts as its own "setting powder" too, since I don't use powder anymore either.., talk about Creasing, and aging my under eye by like 20 yrs if I use it!! 😄 That being said, I may have to try the Revlon concealer just because I've not tried it before, and interested to see how it compares to my holy grail product.
So glad you also like LA girl corrector! LA Girl pink color corrector with elf hydrating concealer on top of it works great for me at completely covering my extremely dark, hereditary circles. The two concealers together cost only around 11 dollars...I have looked forever, and have never found anything, high or low end, that works better at thoroughly covering my very noticeable circles, though I might just try the Revlon concealer now too!!! (I'm female--not that it matters---I just share my husband's RU-vid account name!)
I can't use powder either, never could. It ages me so much. Frfr! And I've tried everyday possible, watched every video I could watch, I mean everything. I just can't use setting powder. I used kosas, and I love it. I also use the bye bye under eye, and a little becca color corrector...
Heyy lovely, would you mind if I ask you your skincare routine?! I'm not close to your age, but I've inherited the EXACT same conditions from my genetics. i'd love to be prepared beforehand, lol. Thank you so much
Dear can you please share how did you make your under eyes look better? I am 48 and have the same issues. Also thanks for the tips.. Im going to use the covergirl foundation as I already have the LA corrector.
I am so HAPPY you made this video! I'm 55 and I'm just now starting to use concealer. Mostly for dark circles but I really appreciate you for taking the time and explaining because you have saved us money and took all the guess work out.
The only concealers that works under my eyes without drying or looking cakey are No7, Maybelline Age Rewind and Joah (the one with the sponge tip). All three are amazing..! Great coverage and long lasting.
I just purchased the Candid concealer based on your description in another video. I agree it is magic! I'm 41 and prefer a no-makeup makeup look. It completely covers my purple and red discoloration (!) and seems to smooth my under eye (!) while still looking completely like skin! And I have that Scottish semi-transulcent skin that's pretty but can be a challenge because makeup looks super fake very easily on it. Wore all day long and still looks like I just put it on. It sets down but remains flexible and makeup doesn't transfer to it from my hooded eyes. Somehow it even looks natural without other base products on my face. I've been trying to find my "holy grail" concealer since I first started wearing it 3 years ago, and this is it!
I bought the Revlon concealer on your recommendation a few months ago. I love it and it is also the best shade match I have ever gotten with a concealer.
I pull the sponge off the tip of the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer; then it's easy to see exactly how much you're twisting up and not waste any OR have to deal with a janky unsanitary sponge! I've also recently tried and love the L'Oreal Infallible Full Wear concealer!
I do this with any sponged tip concealer. They always seem to preform better without that annoying sponge. There’s no way to keep the sponge from getting gloopy and full of old drier concealer. I also find concealers last way longer without the sponge, I get 3x longer use from the Charlotte Tilbury without sponge.
Squeegy 🤣 The Kosas and Dior are universally loved on RU-vid. Revlon needs to hire you....you constantly remind me to try that dang concealer. Queen Charli is a day brightener 🥰
I don't normally comment on RU-vid videos. I wanted to tell you that you are my favorite new RU-vid content creator after watching this video. First of all, I am not sure how I even found you. You were suggested after I watched another video. For some reason it didn't save you to my history (before I even had a chance to subscribe) and when I wanted to finish watching this video today, I couldn't locate you. I couldn't remember what your name was, and I truly started panicking. The thing that saved me and helped me find you was remembering that you would talk to yourself during your videos (one of your comical and interesting features, something that I would also do if I had a channel). I remembered you saying your name, "Mandy", and I started searching for Mandy and concealer and finally found you. I really love how honest and frank you are during your videos. I'm so glad to have found you. I also agree with you on some of your top 10 as they are in my top 10. And my under eyes are also getting worse with age.
Tried your wet and wild brown Simma pencil. Love it. Purchased Lancôme concealer 31 dollars. Went to CVS , Revlon candid concealer 10.99! I rarely shop at CVS, their prices are sky high. Purchased Revlon Candid on Amazon today. Under 6.00 dollars! Harmon face values 7.99. My Elvive, and L’Oréal 6 in 1 shampoo are 4 dollars more at CVS than Harmon. Steer clear of CVS, their prices are highway robbery. Love your videos. Can’t wait to try Revlon candid!
I was going to ask the question on another comment area of another influencer that probably was going to recommend something very high end but now I got a few to try. Thank you, Mandy!
Maybelline Fit me!!! More moisturizing than any of the drugstore pics you mentioned (at least that I have tried) I have always had problematic skin when it comes to makeup, it almost always makes me look worse! Even way back when I was a teenager, base makeup never looked right! I tried the Maybelline Fit Me on the recommendation of a young RU-vidr (Amanda Z.) who has sunken under eyes, like me. Most concealers accentuate the hollow under my eyes, Fit me is a rare exception. Amanda’ favorite is the Kosas, she says it disguises hollowness like no other... but I have been afraid to try bc it is so expensive! Wish they had mini sizes, or a way I could try before I buy. Unfortunately, I strongly dislike all the concealers I have tried on this list, so I am skeptical that that the Kosas will work for me.
I love the Kosas concealer 😍 seriously good on my 50 year old under eyes. I also really enjoy the Revlon Candid concealer. I’d add the Armani power fabric concealer. It’s really good but I think I like Kosas more now. 🥰
The daughter's entrance and subsequent scene: that had me subscribe. Of course, I did enjoy your concealers ratings. Currently I'm using Elf and it's not drying, but coverage is not as complete as I would like. I'm going to try the Candid. Thank you!
I thank you for this information. Very helpful about what is hydrating and what sinks into wrinkles etc. I have to say you were so patient with your kids interrupting you and I thought it was so precious of you.
You are always so classy and relatable. Thanks for today’s content. I’ve been curious about what products you recommend for curly hair. Yours seems to always looks great. ☺️
This is wonderful info! I've been wanting to try a concealer but the wax crayon I used in my youth made me look fifteen years older. Now that I am past my first bloom it's nice to hear someone talking real about what works when you aren't sixteen anymore.
I LOVE the candid concealer!!!! I’ve purchased it twice, I’ll definitely purchase another one soon. I also love the packaging it’s also so easy to get all the product out!
I am curious to know what concealers you tried that didn’t make it into the top 10 (+2😉). I love the benefit boiing cakeless concealer and the L’Oréal Age perfect radiant concealer.
I absolutely love the tarte creaseless concealer as well as the colourpop no filter and pretty fresh concealers. I have dryer under eyes and they work really well for me.
What do you think about the elf hydrating camo concealer?? But I am definently going to pick up the kosas concealer!! Thank for the video!! Omg your daughter is so cute!! Also I just thought about the ilia concealer have you tried that?
I don’t normally spend a lot on concealer but did indulge in the Kossas and it is indeed worth every penny! Absolutely love seeing your darling daughter show up🥰💕👏🏻👑
I am always on the hunt for a better concealer for my dry under eyes. What shade do you use in the Kosas? You look beautiful in this video. Love the eye look!
I don't know if you read these comments in older videos (even though this isn't super old) but I tried the Wet & Wild Incognito concealer after this video and I LOVE it! I was not a fan of the elf hydrating camo concealer but was using it until I found a new one and, holy cow, the W&W is the best! The shade "medium honey" is the best shade match ever - so much so that I could almost just spot conceal and not even use foundation or tinted moisturizer (almost)! It's SO good and SO affordable!
My favorite 10, 11, ok...12😉..so relatable to me, thanks for your hard work on this..I'm mid 40's with serious dark circles and dry skin so I can't just plop any ole concealer on all willy nilly, so this was very hepful💛
Great info! i am suprised the Pat MGrath concealer didn't make your list. It is absolutely amazing, unlike all others. Perfect for the under eye area. Very light, brightening and softening to my under eye wrinkles.
I just adore you and your logic. Too funny. Have to try the wnw concealer. And the Revlon one. Thanks. Always here for your vids. Are you getting the sigma ambiance palette?
Great ranking video. I don't know what you did differently with your eyelashes but they look amazing 😍 almost like if they are fake. You look great Mandy.
About 4 months ago I started using the Clarins Long-Wear & Hydration Everlasting Concealer. Absolutely love it! Not too thick (for my 53 year old under eyes) and really good coverage. I’ve also started leaving the concealer under my eyes for a minute or two before blending. Makes a big difference in coverage! Loved some of your suggestions. My Age rewind is still going strong!
Loved this video, and I completely agree with the number one choice. I tried it based off of your recommendation, and I haven't looked back. Thank you for sharing ❤
Nothing beats Benefit hydrating concealer stick. I apply it with a little concealer brush and blend it in with a beauty blender. I barely powder, just the inner corner. Runner up is Becca color corrector to the inner and outer corners with Glossier stretch concealer and blend... heaven! I’m almost 52 with very dry skin
The revlon canid has been a favorite of mine since it came out and I also am loving the Kaja concealer. It’s very hydrating, light weight and so smoothing . The shade I have is almost too dark for my under eye but I mix it with the revlon for underneath the eye and use it alone for spot treatment for the rest of my complexion. Perfect!
I love the Dior concealer. I have had it over a year. I like it for my face, too. Many days I just wear a little concealer on my cheeks, as opposed to foundation. I am going to pick up another one in the Sephora sale.
So you narrowed it down to the top 12. Real helpful. Eye roll. Also you try everything on yourself and you rate how yo like it. So that helps me to learn what works for YOU! Why don’t you have Guests on?? Maybe you could use your skills (which think you have) and show us how to find a good lip color or blush color for different skin tones
Great video.. thank you! I've picked one or two try 😀. I have a suggestion for you... NAJ-OLEARI Ultimate Cover Concealer.. I use no 2... it's beautiful under the eyes, excellent coverage and colour 🥰
I’ve only just found you and think you’re great! I love your manner and you make me laugh with the way you throw in little comments. I am going to watch many more of your videos, I’m 66 and so if you talk about what’s good makeup for mature ladies, I’m all ears! 😄
Hi Mandy, bless you. Most of us are not 18 anymore and by using concealer or powder under te eye we only look 15/20 year’s older. That can never be why we put makeup 💄 on our face. We want to look fresh and beautiful. Love your videos. Think you are absolutely beautiful and love your hair. So that’s a lot of love going around at the beginning of the weekend. See you on the next on. Have a great weekend. Bye Ingrid ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I actually love the IT Bye bye concealer. I had it for awhile and didnt use it much but as my eyes are getting dryer from Retin A and older, this is now such a great concealer! The key ia learning how to apply it. But it covers, and doesnt settle into lines and lasts. Funny thing is that is the only one I like of those you showed my eyes are just too dry- kosas, tarte, Maybelline (aweful).
Thank you Mandy Lea! I always find your videos so helpful! I use the Age Rewind in "Ivory" and the Brightener, when I need it. Your child is beautiful and sweet like you! Lots of love and blessings..
Ok this video convinced me to finally try that Revlon concealer! I'm grabbing it tomorrow. I have very dry skin under my eyes and I'm 35 almost 36 so I'm getting up there and I'm seeing lines and crepey skin 😥 I usually prefer lighter coverage concealer such as the Glossier one I forgot the name but the lil pot one. I do not like the Milani concealer, or the elf hydrating concealer. I HATE the Maybelline age rewind concealer with a passion it looks so horrible on me! It's so thick, heavy and dry and makes my under eye look so much worse and older. Idk how everyone loves it! I don't like thick dry concealer. I recently tried the Flower beauty one and it's not bad at all but not my favorite so far but I only tried it once so we'll see! I need to try the It cosmetics bye bye under eye again it's been years. I know it's thick but I remember it being very hydrating so maybe I'll like it now.
Omg...finally someone who thinks & feels just like me😂 I agree with everything you said. I'm actually 46 with dry under eye & lots of unwanted crap...lol. non of those concealers worked for me. I hate them all with passion except it cosmetic bye bye one. Try & u might like it. It is actually hyderating & feels a little tacky but In a good way. Use very little & work with your fingers. I don't use powder at all & that's the only thing that is ok🤷. Anyways hope you like that one. We are all different & what works for me might not work for u! But I suggest you give it a try🤗 By the way I don't have dark circles,so it's never about coverage,it's about bringing my eyes to life with some color...lol
@@Niki-81811 yes ty I'm def going to try it again! I need that hydration! Lol I have dark circles but they aren't crazy I just want them brightened up a bit.
Yaaas! I started using the Revlon concealer for my under eyes after one of your videos I guess a couple of years ago already (I’m 45 yo), and I’m not even interested in trying anything else. Last time I repurchased it from Amazon and it was on sale.
I will forever think of the IT Bye Bye concealer as the Stretch Armstrong concealer from now on. Lol!! My two favorite concealers are the L'Oreal Age Perfect concealer and the Joah Truly Yours Dark Circle concealer. I am 51 years old and have very dry under eyes. Charlie is so adorable!!
