The BEST controller for Resolume...? 

It is true that faders are also very useful, especially for fast changes but for smooth transitions and adjustments pots perform better. I've used all kinds of controllers and over the years I've gravitated to endless encoders but different tools for different people and different styles!

@@mowglitv agreed. i think the change in preference actually has correlated with a change in the genre of my usual gigs, from genres with smoother evolution towards genres with harsher and faster transitions. i gravitate back towards knobs when i work in genres like house, techno, and trance. midifighter needs to come out with a fader box and the trifecta will be complete! lol

Noted@@SeanBowes re: fader box. Would it just be the modularity that is powerful here versus something like the APC series?

@@djtechtoolsI think just having the option to add in faders in the midi fighter toolkit would be nice. I like to use faders, and it would be cool to use 3 midifighter devices instead of 2 + a larger controller like apc40, or launch control, etc that has faders but also more buttons and sliders. @@mowglitv BTW I agree that the APC40 is over rated, I've started using the Intech modular controllers and so far so good... :)

It is perfectly possible to trigger clips using the push functionality. Having said that, the push action of the encoders is not ideal for quick-fire triggering in the way an arcade button would be as they need more force to trigger.

It's hard to know what's going wrong without more details. I take you are using this: store.djtechtools.com/pages/midi-fighter-utility to change the colours. It is quite self explanatory, you select your colours and then upload to the MIDI Fighter.

@@mowglitvFigured it out, it was displaying reverse colors. Little different from what I work with. 😅 Guess I’m just tired lol.

Hard to say without more details. How are you mapping it? What do you mean by "won't work"? Can Resolume see it?

@@mowglitv Resolume can see it in the preferences tab, but when I go into the midi shortcuts tab it's unresponsive

@@ethanmorris9713 are you on Facebook? if you are, post on the Resolume group, it would be easier to troubleshoot from there. In the mean time, have you tried using it with other software?

I'm intrigued, clunky how? It has an outstanding build quality. Unintuitive? It has great feedback through the customisable LED rings and a very straight forward interface, what you see is what you get. Would you care to expand?

@@mowglitv sure. Let’s start with the fact there’s no one off switch. The software it comes with leaves very little customizability options to where you have to buy css for another $80 to simplify the twisters ease of use (and even then it’s far off). To customize it you have to go in and out and in and out over and over again closing and reopening your daw. This is extremely inefficient and wasteful You have to continually remap, and the guidance available on the dj tech tools sight is very sparse. It isn’t user friendly. The sequence mode is very attractive yet almost no info exists on the set up It’s a $80 product with bells and whistles.

@@Blueblackngold I do agree that having to go in and out of your editing software is a drawback. But I have no idea what this css buying that you mention is. I've found the editor app to be extremely comprehensive and the light feedback can be fully controlled with MIDI feedback from your application. You mention a DAW and this video is about Resolume. Out of all the MIDI controllers that I have (and I have a few!) most don't have an on/off switch.
