Arctic is back releasing their brand new Arctic Liquid Freezer iii 360 A-RGB CPU Cooler and it's good, probably the best CPU cooler on the market currently when it comes to its raw cpu cooling capability. They took all the best aspects of the Arctic Liquid Freezer ii and really fine-tuned them to make an incredible product, however, there is one downside that I am not sure if many others will bring up that's the idea of will this product void your warranty because in my opinion, its possible but unlikely due to the fact that its kind of a grey area from my experience working on computers for the past 9 years with some motherboard manufactures a little more strict than others especially if you don't reinstall the original hardware exactly as it came off. So I would say for most people it's going to be fine just be careful because the process does expose your socket to potential damage, as you won't have a secure CPU for a short while, but I do think that it's worth it for the added performance and protection from bendgate. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this video, and let me know what coolers we should test next in the video description down below!

Nice clickbait, it won't void any warranty.

Except Gamer's Nexus also mentioned the same thing since Intel explicitly states using any mount other than theirs can void the warranty.

Thanks for the vid.... glad i found it on my feed. I've been waiting for this for over a year. It would be impossible to tell if the ILM was taken off and put back on. If this was a problem then we all would have heard about it since everyone and their dog is already using contact frames for lga1700 processors.
@mattscomputerservices
@mattscomputerservices 4 месяца назад
Good point my concern is for those who may not reinstall the ILM properly because if its loose, then it might be noticeable and lead to some warranty claims being cancelled due to it being void.

Would you recommend in splitting them up and use the separate fan and pump headers on the motherboard or just leave them as one connector? I actually ordered one and i never had a liquid cooler before so i'm pretty new to this

I apologize for the inconvenience, but it seems there might have been a mistake with my purchase of the Arctic Freezer III ARGB 420mm cooler. Unfortunately, it appears that the package did not include the necessary screws, ARGB controllers, or thermal paste required for installation and no new contact frame from Arctic. Could you kindly assist me in resolving this issue so that I can properly install the cooler? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. (I bought this cooler from Amazon (95$))
@WhiteHawk77
@WhiteHawk77 3 месяца назад
You might have gotten one that was sent back to the company and sold as new. You don’t get a ARGB controller anyway though, hooking up the fans and ARGB on them is up to you, that is you need to supply the power and control of the fans and the LED’s on them with your own third party controller, same as most AIO’s I would imagine.
@reh3884
@reh3884 3 месяца назад
OMG, just FOLLOW Arctic's instructions for mounting the CPU bracket and you won't have any issues. They specifically address how to deal with the back plate, for BOTH scenarios of installing before and after installing the motherboard in the case. Also, a lot of companies spout nonsense about voiding your warranty ("removing this tape will void your warranty!"). It's all nonsense. Consumer protection laws says they can't.

Your system is pretty far behind based on what it seems like, so i would slowly upgrade your system starting with the CPU, motherboard and memory, then GPU, then get your storage upgraded to some kind of NVMe drive followed by your monitor.

I wonder how this one would handle a 7800x3d with the new offset of the LF III
@kristijanknezevic9407
@kristijanknezevic9407 4 месяца назад
There is nothing new regarding that, previous optional offset position on LF II is now standard mount position on LF III, so it's basically the same... Although it seems that it now lacks standard mount position (some say that one could just flip around two brackets and get standard position but arctic does not mention that and they clearly labeled each with L / R letters to indicate on which side to mount them), loosing standard mount position is a bad thing since not all ryzen CPUs have CCD off centre, ryzen APUs are actually monolithic dies and still in the centre

I absolutely love my 360 verison but the mounting system is a nightmare and they dont give detailed instructions i suggest removing your ram and 24 pin while also installing the pump to the brackets first as its very hard to get the mounting screws started otherwise and the standoffs dont stay on the motherboard they are a loose fit around the stock backplate if they made the screws longer and the standoffs a snug fit it would be breeze
@kristijanknezevic9407
@kristijanknezevic9407 4 месяца назад
When you send CPU for RMA, you have to send the CPU only, there is no way they can determine which cooler was used and for the most part they wouldn't even bother with that. So this can't void a CPU warranty

If you're that worried about voiding a warranty, then you probably shouldn't be modding a PC at all. Unless you get have bad luck and get a bad board.
@mattscomputerservices
@mattscomputerservices 4 месяца назад
Well here's the thing as its being sold as a consumer product not an enthusiast product and its priced accordingly I was bringing up my concern I had based on the systems I see in my shop everyday and the types of issues people typically have. Something as simple as putting the socket cover on the motherboard when shipping it in voids your warranty, so if I see something that basic then this is always a possibility if you don't know to switch back the ILM, or do it properly.
@reh3884

You're not "modding a pc." You building one, and the whole "voiding your warranty" is nonsense.

One of the best for raw performance? No, there are several other coolers that outdo it. It's only when you "noise normalize", which is to say you put a leash on every AIO so they are all at the same noise level as the Arctic that it shines. Why? Because it's quiet and does a very nice job at that speed. The other coolers are designed to outperform it, and they will if you don't limit them. There are quite a few AIOs that outdo the LF. However, when we look at noise and performance, plus the current sale price, there literally is almost nothing better, although the TR Frozen Notte & Frozen Magic Scenic V2 may....

@ThePCExpertAmateur 2 месяца назад
@@3d-illusions What are you asking about? Aside from the LF3, there's the Deepcool Mystique, SilverStone IceMyst, EK Elite, Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance, and several others. It's quite a long list, really, of coolers that are top-rated. Is noise an issue?
@3d-illusions
@3d-illusions 2 месяца назад
@@ThePCExpertAmateur thanks. Yes noise is an issue as fan noise gives me tinnitus, so I need the quietist solution able to keep an i7-14700k cool under prolonged heavy use (3d simulations)
@ThePCExpertAmateur
@ThePCExpertAmateur 2 месяца назад
@@3d-illusions Well, I can tell you right now that between the heat of your CPU and your tinnitis, you'd better invest in some ear protection because that is the ONLY way you can reasonably expect to get both without putting your computer in another room or inside a sound-dampening chamber, or maybe use some sonic insulative material. The AIOs I listed previously are all excellent choices, but most are probably going to be noisy and, if you're REALLY sensitive to noise, all of them are. So, first step is to find some recordings of their noise as well as look at the published decibels for each. If you can get an Endorfy Navis 280 or 360, that would also be a good bet and, again, there are several other coolers that can suit your needs. The series of AIO reviews by KitGuru is very helpful, as are some of the others. I guess you should start with Endorfy and Arctic, though, as I recall that they're both very quiet and, at this point, the Arctic LF3 is probably stronger (compared to the Navis and the LF2).
