I did this technique for a charity event and my hair is VERY thin! It took a bit of time/effort/patience to pull the natural hair braid/plait thru the crochet hair but it totally looked like individual braids and to date, it was my sister’s fave crochet braids for me! This style really saves a ton of money if you DIY!!!

These are cute and I have similar but my stylist struggled to put these in my head. I just have method around perimeter of my head and beehive pattern in the middle with crochet box braids added.
I feel like this method would only work with thin and shorter hair. My hair is way too thick for this. It seems like a much better way to prolong the style. I'll be trying on my family members soon. Thanks ❤

Nice I’m going to try to do this around my middle part. Does anyone know if it pulls the hair out at the root? I’ve had a small bald spot before . Wondering how to avoid

Thank you! I was looking for a method like this. Like how people do individual faux crochet locks. I didn’t think this would work for hair. Idk if it will hide if I do blond but same difference if it was the “real way” my black hair would still show . Give or take

Love this for short hair on the thinner side. My hair is 3x thick and bra lenth so I have to use longer hollow faux lics. They still work for this method but you have to weave very close so its completly inside the loc. Any tips for extremly thick/longer lenths?

@JesusNationDance Not that it can't be done on very long hair but you would have to make sure that the crochet hair is much longer than your hair and ir will certainly be more tedious to install. I've been trying to do this to my own head but i can never get the weaving part right when working behind my own head. Any tips for doing this behind your head?
It took about 5 hours. I can't remember how many packs but I may have mentioned it in the video. One order comes with enough packs to complete the style though.
