I attended the CMU convocation 2019 as my daughter completed MS in IS (with high distinction). The entire IS batch was like 50-60% Indians, balance Chinese. There were maybe max 15 whites and only 1 black.
@@rohitkhosla8110 It's because mostly in America they won't like to do masters because if they want to study after Bachelor's they prefer doing direct PhD as their education system allows that and they won't have any compeititve edge in getting a job just by getting master's degree. Secondly most people in India do bachelor's in india only and apply to US for masters as it's faster to complete and cost is also less. So you can't compare that you saw many Indians in CMU and less American people because contexts are very different for both.
If i had 2.5 crore rupees , than i would rather invest in mutual funds/ stocks and be happy and self sufficient for my entire life rather than going abroad to study !
2.5 Crore is lot of money but thing is that most people spending that kind of money have net worth of over 50 crore so with that money its completely worth to follow dreams
@@56shauryasingh33 American Universities are on top because of us research budget not because of student talent. Most of the Indian students that go to Harvard or mit are upper class or rich students
@@sociologyphysics7293 rich students do exist, they pay the money and study, as simple as that. Indian students cracking JEE are way more smarter than anybody going US on his daddy's money. The after struggle is a totally different thing.
@@sociologyphysics7293 Have never said they don't have to compete but they are paying heavy amounts for that education they belong to mostly rich class or middle class if they are not getting a greencard at the end they are losing a lot.An average student in India will apply for Indian universities and local competition is too high.

Thankyou harnoor bhaiyya, I am an 11th grader studying CBSE in Abudhabi 🇦🇪.Your videos help me a lot in understanding the outer world since I'm planning to study abroad. It inspires us a lot, keep making these wonderful videos✨❤️❤️💯💪
Actually, if you look closely the US News ranking says CMU, Stanford, MIT, and UCB as first rank(its a tie look closely). Don't spread the wrong information.
I don't think its worth the price tag of 2.5 crore what people don't understand are the taxes even if he start making 200k, net income will be only 135k a year but that's only when he start making 200k lol which is really hard, just take case of mine i spend about 30 lakhs for degree in accounting in Canada and now i am making around 60,000 a year total with job + some side jobs(uber) easily as 22 year old and will be getting my permanent residency in next year after that i am planning to invest in real estate and stocks with some money from india and some savings from where, which sounds like much better deal to me lol
It is actually worth the price of 2.5 crore. While it is true that it is difficult to make $200K in US even as a Software Enginner, almost everyone from these universities makes $150K or so. This will let you have $110K in hand, given that you don't need more than $30K to have a decent standard of living even in their most expensive city of New York, you save $80K every year. If you avail for a 3- year OPT, you can save $250K or so, and on top of that, you will also earn $40K or so from the internships that you do while in University. This brings your net income in these years to $300K.
Next video : How to find the cheapest college for definitely admission ( we have to decide 5,6 College 2 difficult to admit, 2 normal or average criteria to admit and 1 definitely to admit)
Hello Harnoor can u make a more detailed video about your acceptance and what all things you did like extra curricular and all .This video was very nice
i think undergrad programs are pretty much same at all tops schools and wouldn't really make a difference where you go as long as its decent. If you're going for a grad program then its quite different because there are a lot of specialisations that come into the picture and the course is intensive too !
Dude this channel is based on this kind of content, so You should Harnoor bhaiya's effort to reach out to students like this because it's not easy to find some Indian student who goes to universities like Harvard, MIT, CMU and I am damn sure that it is way harder to find people to interview's like these in quarantine but i do agree that there should be more vlogs
tier 1 cities have advantage of exposure like he said he started preparing his profile from grade 9 if you're from tier 3 city you are even not aware about that
Bro, I have sent you an email having subject: "Are my 12th results good?". Do see it bro as soon as possible as I will apply for rechecking based on your advice, and I could do that only till tomorrow (16th).
@DEEPAK SAMBHARA USA I ain't smoking anything I just like stanford. Thats my choice no one asked you anything.. Probably you should stop smoking. So shut up I didn't ask you anything
DEEPAK SAMBHARA USA I am not talking about you sir i was talking about the comment on Stanford. People ask questions related to MBBS in USA. Rather than amusing its strange that how media potray myths about us education.
A point to be noted, CMU does not provide financial aid to international students. Moreover, Harnoor you said that international students can't earn via RU-vid. So how is it possible that you, as an international student, earn from RU-vid? Do enlighten us.
O.K. but everyone is not rich like him so is there like some sort of scholarship or something cause I can't pay $80,000 or 5,975,200 rupees according to the current rate of a U.S dollar.

I liked the interview of chitrang murdiya... Because he was a true prodigy and a gem of india...his story was truly inspiring But this guy is just extremely rich, you can't say that his story is inspiring
@Account No. 1M what story? He spent 2 crore because he belongs to a rich family. My only problem is he has put "inspirational" word in the video. Anyone can do that if he/she is child of a rich daddy

Harnoor bhaiya a information coming from the princeton university that revealed that they eliminate early action for upcoming year 2020-21. Is it true? All ivy colleges also going to eliminate. Can you please make a complete video how would it affect our admission process. It means less students got admission? I hope you will do for me

Can you make a video on MS in MIS( Management Information System)? I am someone who enjoys CS but would want to mix it up with analytics and management. So, MIS or Ms in Data analytics/Business Analytics. What will be the best bet for me? And also job opportunities in US if I pursue these degrees. Thanks!
@@simranyt1568 Mis at chico cali would be good Since you are doing from Cmu it would be good But one of my friend graduated in Mis and he switched his job If you dont land a job switch get into data science
Simran G Well I am actually bothered about if the course would be the right fit for me. I come from a research background but want to shift to some analytics or a job that has a mix of both. So like my first q is 1) Does MIS as a course fulfil this? 2) Job opportunities after MIS in US. I have heard from friends that doing MS in CS is better than choosing a particular field because it narrows down job opportunities. Nd even if we do Ms in Cs, we can select electives in a way that we study only the courses that interest us. So, please answer you get time. Thanks Simran!
