true story, a friend was out at range, zeroing his .30-06 at 100m. well he was kinda crouching down on ground screwing on scope bracket. by about 4th hex key rotation he slipped and dropped the rifle, his shoe where big toe was touched the trigger. BANG. he shot his tire immediately next to him. hit in the order; tire, driveshaft , brake line bracket, and bullet went out of passenger door's bottom threshold. he was yelled then by his wife. who kept scolding him" always clear the damn chamber and safety on" edit: he then mentioned unholy amount of dust lingering and floating, gotta love texas dust

@Cancer & Tourmaline I once tried to drive home from a roadtrip with a bad stomach bug. I was 20 minutes from home after lasting 6 hours, when I threw up all ove4 the windshield. I tried cleaning it, but there was just so much it just smeared. I call my parents to come get me. Since I had an undercoat appointment the next day, so my dad dropped it off at the shop with no note or anything. When I was finally well enough to go get it, I apologized profusely. They fortunately seemed amused, but still awful they had to interact with my poor car I that condition.

@@kendramiller1830 Oh for sure, hard to clean it up if you were sick, I get that. But they are supposed to be fixing your car, not cleaning it. If people can help it (ignoring the whole vomiting thing) we should try to make sure the vehicle is at least clean of things we can pick up ourselves. That's all.

I had a friend who lived like this, his house, his car, his yard. It was bad. And there was ALWAYS a McChicken sitting on his dash board lmfao 🤣 😂 And it was always in different stages of being eaten too hahaha. I watched him hop in one time, reach over, grab the McChicken, take a fat ass bite and put it back down... I'm like "Bro!" With a disgusted face... "Where's mine?!?" I gained one of my current cats because it was found by my wife in the garage after she had visited a relative in an adjacent state. The kitten had found its way underneath the engine on top of the skid plate. She drove all the way home with it there. She heard Mews and quickly discovered the kitten. She had burnt whiskers, and burnt pads on her paws from the engine heat. We still have her hand she is the sweetest cat ever.

Back in 97 a father purchased a vehicle for his older kid, the kid installed the radio from the positive plug of the electronic breaks, I was standing by my vehicle with my then little boy, 10 seconds after I walked away the little snot was burning tires in the parking lot couldn't stop , and took out 7 cars including mine... he'd had killed us if I delayed for seconds ...and that's why i feel some type of way about irresponsible ppl like that...

0:50 I had something like that once during an internship. Young lady brought in a Cayenne talking about a rattle in the door that Porsche wouldn't fix. Our tech got in the car to pull inside, opened the door again, shut it, opened it, shut it, opened it, handed her a handful of change from the door-pocket and asked her to drive around the block to see if the rattle was gone. It was. At Porsche, she'd parked the car on the lot, taken all her stuff from it and handed over the keys, so obviously Porsche couldn't find the rattle after she'd walked off with it.

tbh, I agree this entire year has been one hell of a year. Not only did I get a fulltime job at a BMW dealership, i finished my automotive tech classes as well, moved out of mom and dads place, saved up enough money. Found a cat that has been keeping me sane (for the most part). Moved into my own apartment, all of this within an entire year. God does bless people and I guess he helped me this year the most. If you find life difficult at the moment, there's always next year to start over fresh. edit, i just bought my first truck not 3 days ago,

After viewing this, I now understand the value of once-a-year vehicle inspections by qualified mechanics. There are some vehicles out there in very scary, unsafe condition. My current vehicle is 20 years old, but still passes inspection while almost NONE of these vehicles in the video even come close. On the other hand, it is nice when it only takes 5 seconds of "fix" a customer problem, like the warm A/C or door latch. :)

@@blueoval250 It reduces the amount of risks by a lot, if we didn't have inspections only car heads or people with car guys in the family will have good condition vehicles, everyone else would just let their cars go to shit which would greatly increase car prices to insane amounts, you think 16k for the cheapest sedan brand new is expensive? Do away with inspections and good luck with getting a brand new car at 60-70k minimum

@5:40 over 40 years ago, I was working in a factory. One morning I was walking by a car in the parking lot, i found the man that owned the car and opened the hood. It took some tools to get a kitten out of the firewall, and my wife picked him up no more than ten minutes later. We named him "Lucky" and he lived a very long life with my family.

I'm an Industrial Mechanic for a huge company. Currently I have a shop in the back where I repair Rolling Stock Items. This has been my day everyday for the past 15 years. I keep telling myself I need to keep a journal so I can write a book later. You could kind of expect this from stuff from lower level labor and new hires but it only takes a few conversations with middle level to upper level management to realize they are even more clueless than the New Hires.

When I was a mechanic back in the sixties and seventies on automobiles I couldn't believe the cars that came in the shop that people were driving that were so dangerous so unsafe but your videos this stuff is absolutely insane I've never seen front ends and Frames so messed up and people still driving them people are dumber than ever I thought they were dumb back in the 60s and 70s they are absolutely stupid nowadays in modern times it's unreal. Thank you for the videos this is a shock knowing now that these people are driving these vehicles with us on the road oh my gosh this is so dangerous so frightening

I worked at a local dealership. One day a man brought in a newly bought car, claiming there was a whining noise coming out of the engine, even when it was off. Our guys removed the front bumper and inside was a kitten. The manager adopted it, but we were all trying to figure out how to code "kitty in the bumper" for the booker.

This makes me very glad that my brother is a car enthusiast and also works at a dealership because you tend to learn a lot of things, and he’ll probably point out stupid things that I may miss before the shop can call me an idiot. Of course, some of these things were beyond stupid, like even a non car person should know why the car isn’t working (looking at the no gas clip)

I remember one of my friends having an old Audi 80 from 1980, he always kept it running with wires and chewing gum, it seemed. Then he sold it to another friend who wanted it, it broke down after a month and no mechanic would touch it as it was all DIY and deemed unsafe for use on public roads.

We did a similar thing to our lead man. We got one of those massive zip ties and put it on the drive line if his work van. We trimmed it up so it would hit the floor pan but couldn't see it from just looking. Drove him nuts. Later we pushed his driver's seat slightly forward to an uncomfortable position and remove the power seat fuse. We have a million of them.😏

I once had a similar issue, AFTER I got my car back from the shop. Everytime I drove around a corner it made cowbell sound, turns out they forgot to fasten a bolt on the rear stabilizing cross (not sure if that's the correct term, just translating from my language). Easy fix and funny story.

24 year old Subaru Impreza. Bought it at 136k miles 4 years ago (I'm the fourth owner, head gaskets already done), and I'm up to 166k miles on it. All work since I purchased, has been done at my friends shop, and it runs beautifully. It pays to have a professional take care of your daily driver.

Fair enough 😂 in the UK we have MOTs which stop drivers from driving cars that are considered a danger to other people on the road, surface rust is fine, but a rusted through frame or unibody will give you a whole world of hurt, makes me glad we have them to stop dangerous repairs like some in the video
