Hey friends! I'm giving you the deets on my microbladed eye brow experience since having my follow up/touch up appointment and letting you know the pro's and con's of it all. Also, ColourPop sent over one of their latest collections (cause lets be real, ColourPop has a new line coming out like ever 48 hours [giggles] ) The line I am using today is their Pretty Fresh line which includes a Tinted Moisturizer, Setting Mist and a Primer and they all are super hydrating with hyaluronic acid giving off a healthy natural glow.

Heeeeyyyy! I'm a permanent brow artist and I was trained to ask those questions you mentioned. Bc microblading is best for dry skin small pores. Ombré brows are definitely a better option but that's something your artist should discuss with you prior to doing your brows. Whenever finding a bomb artist judge their HEALED work vs. their fresh work. 😊

When I see an artist work now I definitely look for the healed work. Funny though, most that I have seen in AZ only show the fresh work.

i don’t wear makeup @ all but have been recently looking into it and tinted moisturizer sounded better for me than foundation. So glad I did because it helped me stumble across your channel and for whatever reason I’ve resinated with your soul. Your aesthetic is soothing definitely subscribing to your channel.

You already had beautiful naturally thick eyebrows before microblading. My artist asked me all of the questions you mentioned in a questionnaire before hand. She also gave the option to have the hair strokes, or the ombre powder, or a combination of the two. I chose the hair strokes because I don't like the done up makeup look for my everyday life. I think you could have had better results with a different artist.

I've been threading my eyebrows for years and absolutely love it. Microblading has never even crossed my mind. Something about just doesn't look good. I'd suggest anyone giving threading a try. This tinted moisturizer I might just give a shot. Plus the price point isn't bad. Edit: The brows shape the face, so I don't mess with them too much. When your brows are great, everything else kind of falls into place.

I deff wont be getting microblading I live in tallahassee its hawttt and humid and the scaring processes may not work for me because my skin easily will form a keloid

Beautiful results as always!! Microblading is definitely not for me, I never wanted it but after seeing your struggle I know for sure it's not for me. I love your natural brows they were definitely one of my favorite things to watch you do. Yes it’s def not the best thing to do. I like the look of subtly tinted brows. I may try tinting in the far future.

Hi, I absolutely love you and your channel. Thanks so much for sharing. Im so sorry you didn't have the best microblading experience but you're gorgeous anyway. It comes down to the person that's doing the microblading , I've learned that they are not all created or trained equally. Lol lol. I live in Florida which is very hot and humid. I had a wonderful microblading experience. She explained to me that if my skin was very oily I might not be a good candidate. She also told me I would not be able to wear makeup for a period of time or be in direct heat, so I got a different experience. I was told up front. So, my microblading didn't take well on the tail end of my brows just because of my skin. So I returned back without paying extra money. She suggested I get Microshading which looks more like a brow pencil. Microshading worked for me and the tail ends of my brows. So basically I got the Combo brows and they are perfect. I never ever fill them in with a brow pencil because the Microshading took so well. It's been a year now. The breakouts may be from your hair. It's lying on the sides of your face where the acne is appearing. Cute look tho!

You sound just like me going off over your brows and how you like them.... I learned my lesson years ago doing the waxing epidemic lol 🥰🥰🥰🥰but that’s what life, makeup, and all jazz is about. Anyway, you always look beautiful!!!! The ombre powder gives more of a makeup look than the microblading hair strokes.

The first round of microblading always fades which is why you need to do the follow up appointment. What you experienced was normal

Hi! I’ve been having the same type of breakouts similar to you out of no where and I’ve been trying to figure it out for months. I stopped dairy and made sure I drank a lot of water. It got better for a while then BAM more breakouts. I stopped sugar for all forms of sugar 3 days while drinking bone broth and eating 100% clean to reset my gut and rid any possible candida over growth and it helped my skin a lot! I still keep my sugar intake very low and take a good probiotic. Have you thought about dramatically decreasing your sugar intake? Have you thought about your gut health and any possible candida overgrowth? Hope this helps!

You know what, I’m going to do it. Go cold turkey on sugar. That just means not adding it to my coffee. I’m not much of a sweet eater but I do understand that carbs process like sugar. I don’t go crazy on them but I’m going to cut it out and see what happens. Thanks for sharing, the struggle is real.

I was asked those questions. Also regular microbladung is not good for oily skin. Combo brows works better for all skin tyoes. Sticking to one set of instructions is key as well

Try avoiding skin care with fragrance/perfume and botanical/essential oils, they can be very problematic to the skin, and always apply your moisturiser on wet skin straight after cleansing your face.

Beautiful. As far as your skin; I don’t know much about what you have been doing and the cause but it looks hormonal, definitely keep drinking water and stay away from dairy but also try taking vitamin A and zinc if you have not already.😊

I don’t think this artist knew what she was doing. Did you check her micro blading portfolio before you went to her? Professionals usually do actually have a questionnaire that ppl feel up about skin, medication, health; amongst other things.

I've always thought there needs to be something for men. Personally I have light scaring in mine because unfortunately fighting and it's taken the ends of my browser pretty much off. I have very light skin so I might be different but even something like implants, they should take arm hair or something like that because it's the closest thing to your brow hair and won't grow like crazy like it would taking that hair from your head. I wish I could get my old eyebrows back but scaring is a bitch and now I'm stuck with a shadow if brow hair at the ends and my normal in the beginning. I actually did microblading at one point but they were way to think and my normal brows aren't so I took cotton and pulled the ink out right away. The reason I didn't go do it again is because I didn't want it to fade and look like botched makeup. Not exactly flattering on a guy. Then again as a guy maybe the Mike tyson brows work lol

Just a question are you on any multi-vitamins? but also if you are using your Olay it might be the Niacin in some on them that may be breaking down the ink (colour) faster. I am a Med Student in surgery rotation and there are so many factors that break down the ink or healing process such as Omega3's, ASA's, vitamin A and etc.....and all that needs to be stopped in your case a good month before! I’m not on any multi vitamins and I’m not currently using any Olay products but thanks for bringing to the light that it very much so could be something I’m taking/skin care. This is all way I think microblade artists need to do a questioner and provide more info on what to stay away from before and after the procedure.

It's definitely not sugar for me, I rarely have it in food/drinks. I think it's def. hormones or now I'm thinking it could even be the almond milk making it worse because of the estrogen in almonds.

Oh man....sorry about your microblading experience. I think artists are trained to ask. My co worker did hers the first time about 2 years ago and she had a consultation first. The artist will absolutely NOT do work on anyone that is not a good candidate for the process. Hopefully more artist are more knowledgeable and honest these days. Great vid....thank you!

Thank you, my artist was definitely newer and hadn’t done many but the work that she did do sold me to the process. She didn’t seem to know much about skin type she didn’t ask me much about mine. It was later that I realized I most definitely wasn’t a candidate. Thanks for commenting!

Update, I just searched their channel and saw their house tour and actually, I see a lot of decor similarities through out their home. I think we just have similar taste, minimalistic lux. :) I like their style
