Fun Fact: The guy who made gumball actually worked for another cartoon compeny and he had a lot of charecter ideas that they turned down, so he decided to go to cartoon net work, put all his unused charecters into one idea and CN loved the idea, so they made a pilot episode and it just took off ✈

A Migmaketions we are the crystal gems we always save the day and if you think we can’t we’ll always find a way that’s why the people of this world believe in garnet amethyst and pearl and (melody for 30 seconds) if your staring with your giant eyes you can see that there’s more of us than four of us yeah I do not want to sing the rest
Adventure time and regular show: * revives the animation scene on Cartoon Network * Also Adventure time and regular show when the decade starts to end: *my time has come*
You can't forget My Little Pony and how it took over the internet between 2012-2015 and while yes it was directed towards kids, the morals and lessons from the show are some of the best i know in cartoon history.
I think the reason shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe are so popular is because they don't treat their child audience like babies. They have mature themes like loss, grief, and hardship but still present them in ways kids can understand.
@@ncrtrooper2856 We all know that Alex wanted it to end, it's just that I know for a fact he had so many adventures in head and I'm still mourning it's ending.
The late 2000’s and 2010’s were my childhood. It feels weird that we are saying goodbye to it and hello to a new decade of shows I’m not ready for this
fax bro crazy he forgot Ben 10 anyways teen titans back in the day was fye power puff girls like those were the times now we have the remakes and it's just not the same
@@theluigifan1 I'll keep a pin on those shows but I feel like they are just the final spark of great cartoons. But hopefully CN surprises me and blossoms again!
Isn't that painful to hear laugh tracks that it's not about laughing at you for your silly dialogues and quirky acts? The truth is that the laugh tracks meant to make fun of you.
"Gumball is this meta fever dream of a sitcom where just about every character looks like they came from completely different shows." They're actually all characters that were scrapped from other shows that the creator had worked on and wanted to find a place for, they're literally from completely different shows
@@klif4755 but if u look into it, i has deeper meanings from different slices od lifee. i can still remember watching clarence and crying over an ep about friendship and that ep was surreal. im 19 btw at that time
_'That thumbnail brought back so many memories.'_ 'We will miss you Adventure Time.'(AT can go on forever, I don't mind at all) *And of course Regular Show* YEYA Well you know what? Everything was awesome after 2010.
"When steven universe is over i'm out" Same... no show has ever brought me such joy over being myself, and has taught me such good lessons (ex:mindful education, and also change your mind's overall message) i don't think any show will be able to be that good ever again
Fun fact: The guy who worked on Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends also got Lauren Faust involved because they were great friends, in real life. Still kinda salty we never got a crossover with Foster's Home and MLP. That would've been awesome. The title would've been a no-brainer lol
Cartoons still got some good stuff goin' on: -Infinity Train It just came out with a second season. A mysterious train, talking dogs, mirror people and a cool premise. -The Dragon Prince Made by one of the creators of ATLA and it's spiritual successor. It's got magic, elves, dragons, some truely amazing characters (including multiple lgbtq people and a badass deaf general) and complex villans. Warning, season 1's animation is... not great but it gets way better in the next two. -Carmen Sandiego Intresting and unique. I haven't watched a ton but my sister loves it. -The Owl House There's only 1 ep. so far but it looks really good. And if my memory serves, it is made by someone who worked on gravity falls. And these are the ones just off the top of my head.
Colin Asher the entire thing is on Hulu but if you don’t have it then RU-vid has some of the episodes if you are willing to sit through the horrible quality
During the dark ages, two warriors known as Chowder and Flapjack managed to survive the apocalypse, finding a chosen one named Adventure Time, on a quest to find his brother, Regular Show. Along the way however, the two first soon could not stay and hog the spotlight, knowing that they would eventually fade out, so they made that time now for AT to shine. Soon, AT found Regular Show and would find a true miracle from the sky…The Amazing World Of Gumball. He would join the team in a quest to find true cartoon enlightenment, finding Steven Universe (and Clarence, the weak link). Eventually, they would meet with We Bare Bears. Soon however, Regular Show would fade out, leaving the others alone. And without their leader, Adventure Time, who had recently faded out after, they spread apart. Over The Garden Wall had been stalking them, but after discovered, the team's creator, CN, killed it off peacefully. Soon SU died out, then We Bare Bears, than soon, Gumball's time had come. Along the way a new recruit came, Craig and The Creek as well as Victor and Valentino, Mao Mao Heroes Of Pure Heart, and Unikitty to fight off a new villain, Mighty Magiswords. But the real villain was lurking around for so long, Uncle Grandpa, it was eventually found and defeated.
I didn't watch Over the Garden Wall until this past year because I was avoiding it, but, my dude, take an evening and crack that chesnut wide open. If you're an animation fan, then you're in for one heck of a ride.
you know what also was an important show during the 2010s? my little pony friendship is magic. love it, hate it be neutral about it, it doesn't matter. it brought tons of people together, showed that cartoons aren't only for a specific demographic, shoed that reboots, if done right, can be good (looking at you ppg 2016 and ttg) and it ran through the entire 2010s (2010-2019).
Me be like: 5:39: wheres steven? 5:41 wheres Steven? 5:43 WHERES STEVEN? 5:45 WHERES STEVEN?!?!?! 5:48 WHERES STEVEN?!?! WHY DID YOU CARE ABOUT BEN 10?!?!? 5:54 THERES MY BOY!!
Infinity Train is also really good, and the first cartoon of 2020, owl house, is really promising I'm surprised you didn't mention these. Also Mao Mao and clone wars deserve recognition.
Jesus not even a nod to My little pony FIM making one of the most unique fanbases ever brought out of a show-a girls show being so well made and charming that grown men became the primary audience-including myself-and that ended in 2019 as well...seriously every thing ended in 2019 sadly i swear-i cried when MLP ended-it literally changed me into the more analytical and more open person i am today-and i wouldnt have given other modern cartoons a shot like gravity falls and steven universe if i hadnt watched it-MLP you could say was right next to Adventure Time and Regular Show in the 2010s starting the TV animation Renaissance...and hopefully Gen 5 of MLP is just as phenomenal
There was a slight chance for a new era of greatness to occur when infinity train came out in 2019, however, it sadly got canceled despite it being the best show cartoon network had produced in years and now we'll never get to see what the new era would've looked like :(
One thing that really shows how groundbreaking the 2010s were for animation are the bronies. Regardless of your opinion of MLP:FiM, the fact that there were and still are many, many adults obsessing over it shows the progression that cartoons have made in the past decade. A show made for pre-school age kids was being actively watched by people of all ages. I don't think that has happened in any decade before this. Cartoons are incorporating lots of mature themes and complex, overarching narratives, and I can't wait to see more.
I too was falling away from Cartoons for a little bit. But when I finally watched My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in January 2018 after blindly hating it, my mind completely changed. Without that, I probably wouldn't be in the animation fandom like I am now again. I was getting super nervous about the 2020's after one heck of a ride through the 2010's, but once I watched The Owl House my mind was like "Oh yeah, it's all coming together."
How do people not talk about a show that has 14 seasons (season 15 is apparently being talked about) and has literally been Cartoon Network’s longest running show in history is mind-blowing. I’m glad I’m not the only one bothered by how obscure Ninjago is despite its history.
Seems like every decade evolves what cartoon animation looks like. For example, the 2010s had “curvy” animations with a lot of focus on how things looked... curvy. Take adventure time, regular show, gumball, etc. The 2000s seemed to be a lot more straight and bolder. Take shows like the original teen titans, powerpuff girls, Jonny bravo, dexter’s laboratory, etc. I’m excited to see what the next evolution of animation will look like!
The fact that most of these either air too early or too late so everyone is asleep (thank God I have Movistar so I watch them) or straight off don’t air is so sad 😢
