The blue really does bring out your eyes John. Thanks for another great video on what brands to get! I got into wearing denim and chambray shirts because of your OCBD video oddly enough.
I just picked up a denim shirt from Tecovas. Really impressive with the craftsmanship and detailing of the stitching. And being that they make boots, of course it's a western shirt. It has Pearl snap buttons and and an unusual three buttons for the sleeves. Great shirt for the price.
Thank you for this lovely and timely video!!! I have been looking into chambray shirts, and your content is perfect for it!!! You and your family be sure to have a lovely weekend and cheers to you, delightful Mr. Jon!!!!! :D
I love the chambray shirts I've gotten from Jomers. The quality for the price makes the value unbeatable. I thank you so much for introducing me to them a couple years ago. I have since bought many jeans, cords and moleskin pants from them as well. Their products may not be as nice as my ones from Spier & Mackay but at half the price, it's hard to justify buying from S&M unless I can't find an item I really want at Jomers. If they ever expand their seasonal collections into knitwear and blazers, it will be a fantastic alternative for the consumer.
Huge Thank for this Video , I been Buying mine from Chambray & Denim from LandsEnd' Eddie Bauer , Polo .Levi, Blue Mountains , Ebay .All in large Tall or Extra large Tall because 6'6 190 lbs , but my Problem is i don't how to Wear them or what to Wear/Style them Until Saw your Video Contuined to Stay Safe.
So good to see a video featuring chambray and denim shirts. Definitely agree with you on banded collar shirts. How do they differ from the granddad collar? Or are the two names synonymous? Now, that office wear rules have relaxed a bit - talking about the San Francisco/Oakland area here - I’ve swapped out my regular collared shirts for banded collar shirts with no chest pocket. Great video, Jon!
Jon, thanks for your work. A criticism I’ve had in the past is your lack of negativity. You rarely say bad things about brands, which we want to hear. I’d rather you rank or pick your favorites. I want videos that help me narrow down my selection, not introduce me to 10 more. Just my two cents.
I love my Proper Cloth denim shirt. Their limited time washed indigo sales have some wonderful fabrics from Albiate and Japanese mills (supposedly among the best denim in the world). I also have a nice OTR denim shirt from 1901 from Nordstrom purchased on sale.
Good video? Why do you say versatile though? The details of them and where and when to wear to do it properly are extreme specific. Thanks for the video!
Eh, Chambray is so GQ Magazine 10 years ago. The classic staple was the J. Crew work shirt. Everyone had that shirt. Western denim will never go away, though.
