This is probably the best video on nutrition I have ever seen. I plan to incorporate this diet into my life and that of my family. Thank you so much for this doctor.

Living with sarcoidosis presents its challenges, but discovering Planet Ayurveda has been a blessing. Their treatment and medicine are amazing, offering hope and a path to better health for those with this condition.

I was just diagnosed today for Sarcoidosis. It is scary being told they don't know what is causing it. It's apparently in my lungs.

I know it must feel scary. I hope the information on Life and Breath will help put you a bit more at ease. They have resources they can send you to help you navigate through the medical system. Reach out to them. Their focus is on the patient experience.

I congratulate Dr Bhanote on the presentation. Unfortunately this is basically just a rehash of the dietary guidelines. The section on teas- where is the evidence that any of this is related to wellbeing, especially when many of these fruit teas include dried fruits whose glucose and other carbohydrates will be metabolised to glucose and whose fructose will be converted to fat by the liver? The section on fats- there is evidence that trans fats are a problem but not the recommendations to restrict saturated fat; several recent systematic reviews show that there is not evidence that saturated fat is causal of all cause mortality or cardiovascular disease. Where is the evidence that a certain amount of carbohydrates is necessary - don't just say it is in the guidelines? Carbohydrate is non-essential, meaning the body can manufacture the required carbohydrates from other fuels. People live perfectly healthy lives and perform at the highest level athletically with minimal carbohydrates. Whole foods comments- there is evidence to support that. US and Australian citizens get a significant amount of their food from highly processed foods and there is good quality evidence that the population health would improve if the % of highly processed foods were replaced somewhat with minimally processed foods. The diet suggested by this video is likely to include plenty of pro-inflammatory foods which will not be optimal for those with Sarcoidosis.

why can't we just take vitamins and eat whatever we want

It would seem to be easier if it worked that way...some of it has to do with how our bodies work. We used to only really be able to eat non-processed foods. So, even now, the body works best with non processed foods. It is the whole nutrition that makes us actually feel the best.
