1) To stop people choosing the obvious ones, I'm going with the solar system speech in The Edge of Destruction - a true masterpiece of a delivery by Hartnell 2) Probably the realisation that he's going to lose Jamie and Zoe forever at the end of The War Games 3) The solemn loneliness when Jo leaves him in The Green Death 4) The "do I have a right?" speech in Genesis of the Daleks 5) Same as you 6) A slightly odd choice, but there's a part in Revelation of the Daleks where the DJ gets exterminated. The Doctor hears it over the intercom and thinks Peri has died too, you really see the hurt in his expression. 7) The first church attack in The Curse of Fenric where the Doctor uses his faith in his companions to fend off the haemovores 8) The motorbike/ambulance chase War) The dread in the black archive where he's ready to go and destroy Gallifrey 9) The Parting of the Ways just before the TARDIS lands, the only Dalek scene ever to scare me 10) Weirdly, I'm going for the part in The Day of the Doctor where he's arguing with 11 in the dungeon over where he's going 11) The "There's one thing you never put in a trap" speech in The Time of Angels 12) Where he confronts the Masters in The Doctor Falls about "you're going to die too". No music as the acting is strong enough without it.

My list would be mostly the same. My personal changes: 3- the sword fight between the Doctor and the Master 5- when he gives Peri the antidote, saving her instead of himself 6- I love the sequence where he attempts fixing the Tardis chameleon circuit 10- it's in The Family of Blood when he's already decided to return to being the Doctor, and he walks onto the alien ship pretending to be John Smith until the right moment

I love that you said the Doctor and Davros scene from Genesis was your favourite from Tom's era. However, I'd have to go with scene where he asks "Do I have the right?". Not only is it a testament to how versatile Tom's Doctor was, but it perfectly syncs with his scene with Davros. Davros would definitely kill with a virus if he could, but the Doctor when facing against the power his choice could have, he hesitates. It sums up Doctor Who perfectly for me.

1. The Doctor's speech at the end of The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve after Steven leaves. 2. The scene where the Doctor stands up to the time lords in The War Games. 3. Planet of the Spiders: 'A tear, Sarah Jane? Don't cry. While there's life, there's...' (I need to watch more of Pertwee's episodes). 4. The scene in Robot with Harry shortly after The Doctor regenerates which ends with him using the skipping rope. 5. The Five Doctors: 'Why not? After all, that's how it all started.' 6. The fight with the sontaran in The Two Doctors. 7. Survival: 'If we fight like animals, we die like animals!' (I use this quote all the time). 8. The TV Movie: 'Jelly baby, officer? Now give me the keys to the bike before I shoot myself.' War: Day of the Doctor: 'Great men are forged in fire, it is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame'. 9. The Doctor's final speech before regenerating. 10. The fight with the Sycorax leader in The Christmas Invasion. 11. The curator scene from The Day of the Doctor. 12. I'm stuck between the monologue in Listen and the speech to Missy and The Master in The Doctor Falls. 13. Twice Upon A Time: 'Oh, brilliant!'

Nice list! Off the top of my head (and not having watched a great deal of Classic Who for a good few years) I'd personally go with: 1. "One day, I shall come back" Yeah, thats a really great scene there. 2. "I hate computers, and refused to be bullied by them!" Just a funny Doctory line there, cracks me up every time :D Although come to think of it, his first encounter with the War Chief in The War Games is probably better 3. "Am I to take it that you're a changed man?" The scene in The Sea Devils where he visits the Master in prison, you really get a feel for the friendship these two shared at one point in the past 4. "HARRY SULLIVAN IS AN IMBECILE!" Best moment in all of Doctor Who, no question. The look on both actors faces is truly brilliant aswell XD 5. "You will address me by my proper title I am President am I not?! You will obey my commands! Into the TARDIS..." Ah, good old Doctor. Running from Gallifrey, in a rackety old TARDIS. After all, thats how it all started... 6. "Madam... this revelation should halt this trail... immediately." The reaction to the Doctor finding out who the Valeyard is was visibly haunting to the Doctor, as well as the audience. Another instance of Colin dialing down the eccentric when it mattered for a serious moment there. 7. "Crush the lesser races, conquer the galaxy, unimaginable power, unlimited rice pudding, et cetera, et cetera!" His manipulation of Davros there was wonderfully played, really great moment with a hint of the Doctors silliness. 8. "I help where I can, I will not fight" Yeah, Night of the Doctor has got to be one of the best 9. "I'm gonna save Rose Tyler from the middle of the Dalek fleet, and then I'm gonna save the Earth, and then, just to finish off, I'm gonna wipe every last STINKING Dalek OUT OF THE SKY!" I think thats such a great cliffhanger there. 10. "We're the only two left... theres no one else...... REGENERATE!" The end of Last of the Time Lords is such a wonderful scene, even though Martha has saved the day and defeated the Master, this is no victory for the Doctor. As he was given hope that one of his own kind had survived, that same hope dies right there and then. Wonderfully played by Tennant and Simm. 11. "I've just got one of those faces, people never stop blurting out their plans while I'm in the room." To me, The Lodger is the quintessential 11th Doctor story, so yeah, I'd say that episode is his best moment. 12. "Hello sweetie" I don't remember much from The Husbands of River Song, but I feel that scene where River finds out who the Doctor is was wonderfully played by both Kingston and Capaldi. 13. "Oh brilliant!" Press one button, the TARDIS blows up. Lol, how very Doctory :P

Ranting at Davros in "Remembrance Of The Daleks". 8. Regeneration scene from 7 to 8. 9. Threatening the daleks in "Bad Wolf". 10. Adelaide Brooke's suicide. 11. The Doctor's difficult decision in "The Beast Below". 12. The Zygon war speech.

What's everyone got against the last 20 mins of The End of Time? For me it's one of the most emotional sequences of Doctor Who! I love it! The perfect send off!

Not sure about the rest but for Twelve i would say his speech in the Zygon Inversion to Bonny and Kate. It was just so moving and passionate and also had amazing acting on Capaldi's part.

1 - End of Masterplan. Sara ages to death, the Doctor and Steven are so exhausted after a gruelling 12 part epic, love it. 2 - Pat's Tomb dialogue to Victoria- "Nobody in the universe can do what we're doing" 3 - The Doctor's look at those explosions at the end of Doctor Who and the Silurians 4 - End of Pyramids part 1. Fantastic, dark, stylishly done. 5 - End of part 3 of Androzani for sure. 6 - Sixie screwing over Sil at the end of Vengeance on Varos. 7 - The final dialogue and showdown with The Doctor, Fenric and Ace. Amazing scene.

My favourites: 1. Speech to Susan at the end of The Dalek Invasion of Earth 2. Regeneration 3. Swordfight with the Master in The Sea Devils 4. Bye bye, Duggan! 5. Adric's death 6. You... killed Peri... 7. The scene where he convinces a soldier to drop his gun in Happiness Patrol 8. Night of the Doctor 9. EVERYBODY LIVES! 10. The death of River Song 11. Any time where he says that bow ties/fezzes/stetsons/glasses are cool 12. Who frowned me this face?

That speech in The Time monster from the Doctor to Jo. You can say what you want about the episode, but the scene/speech about Gallifrey is brilliant.

I think 12ths speech to the Zygons about war was the moment that convinced me that it wasnt that the 12th Doctor was bad it was that the majority of the time he got shafted by Moffat and Clara. But in that one scene it showed how well he understood the character

Tegan leaving him, and he is so very desperate, you can see it in his eyes, and then he says he must mend his ways after she has left 6. ''You killed Peri!'' + outburst after 7. ''If we fight like animals we die like animals!'' speech in Survival 8. Who am I!? after-regeneration trauma 9. Him being in a cell with the dalek 10. Fury Of The Timelord 11. It’s ok sometimes it’s ok to pets before brothers and sisters I’m kidding. I also really like that moment in Tomb of the Cybermen it’s my favorite moment in Patrick Troughton’s tenure and May just very well be the very best moment in all of Who in my eyes for just the powerful performance between the 2 actors (Patrick Troughton and Deborah Watling)

That End of Time joke was good. That story is a joke.

Also for Matt Smith I would have put Name of the Doctor when he was speaking about Trenzalore with Clara. Back when that episode aired, I was always on the fence about the Eleventh Doctor, but that scene really made an impact and made his regeneration scene more emotional, at least for me.

For the 10th doctor I would have to say the end of The Waters of Mars.

I also wished you'd picked the 11th Doctor confronting the Atarxi as 1. that's my favourite scene and 2. I wouldn't have ended up getting teary over his regeneration. Any way great video.

I'm loving season 22 so much right now (watching for 1st time) and I'm really emotionally connected to The Doctor and Peri's relationship and just you describing that happening has made me so torn up, fucking hell, fucking love the 6th doctor, honestly don't know what the hate is about, just finished vengeance on varos and every episode so far with him in has been thrilling af so maybe I haven't got to the alleged shit yet but we shall see.

Moffats reason in a bfi qna for not using the Mcgann doctor in day of the doctor was that they already had two romantic dashing doctors and wanted someone who contrasted with them, so original plan was eccleston and that didn't pan out.

Called First and Second! Totally agree on those. I don’t know what I would have gone with on Third, but good choice. Same for Fourth. Fifth, I knew it had to be something from Androzani. :) Sixth. I want something from the audio plays... He’s at his best in those. But good choice. Seventh. Sneaky Seven... 😆 Eighth. Night of the Doctor. Wooord. Ninth - agreed again. Love that scene. Tenth - good choice. I had a hard time with choosing one there. Eleventh - it’s a tie for me. I love the regeneration scene, but I love love LOVE the scene on the roof in The Eleventh Hour... my favourite war Doctor scene has it be when his in Germany and is being interrogated but turns the whole conversation around with no effect at all.

I think we all knew the first doctors speech to Susan was gonna be here ;) My personal pick for troughtons era - the power of the daleks when lesterson is watching helplessly through the door as 3 daleks become an entire army.

Agree with most with 2 exceptions....3rd doctor for me it's the scene when Jo leaves him at the end of The Green Death. The doctor's eternal loneliness is laid bare and I cry for him every time. As for the 7th Doctor, I don't have a favorite but the one you chose from Remembrance is perhaps in my top 5 least favorite moments in Dr Who! I find it stupid and embarrassing.

All good choices. Before I watched the video those were pretty much all ones I thought of too. The only two different I'd pick (not that yours weren't great too) are for McCoy I'd probably go with the scene where he destroys Ace's faith in him to let Fenric free. Talk about the Doctor being a bit of a bastard. And for Tennant I'd go with the scene with Wilf and Sylvia after he brings Donna back home. The sadness at the loss of what Donna'd become, the anger at Sylvia for the way she treats her. The Doctor sopping wet from the rain all alone. It breaks my heart every time I see it. I wish so much somehow he'd regenerated right then so we would have been spared the whiny "I don't want to go" that was to come. As much as I hate most of Moffat's run, you have to give him credit, he knows how to do a good regeneration scene.

I actually really like the ending of The End of Time

First Doctor: “So this is what I become; a dandy and a clown”. Second Doctor: “Don’t tell me, I know. Wait a minute, what’s this, never mind, I know” Third Doctor: “I say, isn’t that a bit unsporting, old man, I mean sitting ducks and all that”. Fourth Doctor: “A simple no thank you would have sufficed”. Fifth Doctor::prompt:: “He’s the best swordsman in France” Fifth Doctor: “Unfortunately, we are in England”. Sixth Doctor: “I’ve had enough of this. Shoot him, Peri”. “For real?” “Yeah, shoot him”. Seventh Doctor: ... I can’t think of one. I never really liked McCoy. I liked McCann but he didn’t have a proper chance and I don’t like new DW. Five points if you can name the episodes the quotations come from.

Some great choices indeed. I'm more of a classic fan to date, still catching up on the new stuff (currently starting series 4 but going chronologically via www.alltimelines.com/doctor-who/2/ means I am watching Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures per the list). I especially agree on 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. I honestly can't think of a better scene for the 1st two at all. Such great speeches from the B&W era Doctors! For Pertwee I like your choice but would have selected the scene where Jo leaves in the Green Death; so much understated emotion was so moving without being overly dramatic about it. Tom Baker had some amazing scenes and your choice is perfect, I love that scene. My 2nd choice would also have been from Genesis of the Daleks where he agonizes over destroying them. Peter was my 2nd ever Doctor after seeing only Tom for years and I always have liked him. His softer tone bugs some people but in Androzani, and especially the scene you chose, he was perfect. Colin doesn't have that much good unfortunately even if I actually like him so the Peri court scene reaction is perfect for certain. McCoy has a couple other ones where he really nails it but I can't argue with your choice here at all. The scene with the Dalek was solid. I actually wish the story was called something other than 'Dalek' as it spoiled the surprise for me, but still great. I can't judge the 10th or beyond scenes yet as all I've seen of Capaldi is the latest special which I went to see in the theater, not done with 10 yet, and haven't seen 11.

I'm afraid I hated the final scene in The Dalek Invasion of Earth. I personally feel that the First Doctor abandoning Susan on Earth, and giving her no choice in the matter, is one of the worst things that the Doctor has ever done. To me, it's almost on the same level as the Fourth Doctor leaving the Thals to their eventual extinction by the Daleks.

I can't wait for Doctor Who to die! Don't get me wrong, I used to be a big fan. I loved most of the classic series and quite a bit of the RTD era. That being said, the show has become a tool of left wing brainwashing and RTD himself is guilty of pushing this agenda not only in some of his episodes but more recently i the adaptation of his own very first story Rose.
