James, I would love to see a video that explains how moving weights and adjusting lofts affects ball flight and can compensate (a bit) for some swing tendencies.

That sound of the Titleist is just the best of anything I've tried recently. It's amazing how the sound translates into feel. I love that club.

Replaced my TSR2 with TSR3 after a custom fitting and for me it’s the best feeling/sounding driver ever and I’ve been playing nearly 30 years. Custom fit at 2ndSwing in Delaware and ordered thru them. Hosel set at B1, back weight set at T1, HZDRS 50 gr. Stiff flex shaft. Just as forgiving as TSR2, in fact it outperformed it. Better smash factor and dispersion. This will be in my bag for a very long time!

If Ping didn’t have Turbulators, I would have owned a couple by now. Great drivers, but the Turbulators on top really look like crap.

James I have been watching since the epic flash 3 wood. You talked me into purchasing one and loved it. Saying that I am an equipment guy. I have traded drivers several times. Left the Sim and went to 425. Left 425 to tsr2. The ball flight I could not get it down and was loosing distance. Picked up the tsr3 a month ago and I 100% agree! It’s the best driver I have ever hit. Sound feel look, it’s all top tier. I can’t do callaway for the big square closed face looking drivers. Lots of paradyms traded in at the local shop but you can’t say they aren’t one of the longest. Nice order of drivers. I agree on all

I have also tested quite a few drivers this year…. Saying that majority are a few years old and not the brand new ones. 😂 But having tested the stealth 2, I kept it in my bag which has helped get me down to 10.9 handicap. Love the feel, distance and helps me find fairway after fairway with it. Also after trying the stealth from last year, think the stealth 2 is a massive improvement from last years model so very interested in seeing what taylormade do next year.

How much of a difference do you think there is between the G430 and the G425? I have never used a ping driver but hear nothing but positives about it. I currently have the G425 in my cart but doing a little more research before buying.
@davidknight6250
@davidknight6250 8 месяцев назад
I’ve never had a Ping driver before, so can only really judge the G430. It’s definitely as long as the Taylormade drivers I owned previously, but unbelievably more forgiving. The sound difference is huge. The stock shaft choice is good, so maybe worth a custom fit? For me the Alta CB stiff flex had the most pronounced kick but maybe launches a bit high? Still getting great distance from it though, but tweaked it down from 10.5 to 9.75 degrees to lower the launch a bit.

I'm sure that it's not because I was born in Huddersfield that I appreciate the quality of your content. This video offered spot on from well argued, parameter-based information. While I tend to cut off a number of other golf channel videos, your videos (and Chris's also), I watch your videos to the end. I believe the real value of your videos is that they are well prepared, balanced and well edited. Besides that, I believe you call a spade a spade as my Grandad used to say.

Nelly had the HD driver because of the Taylormade loft sleeve James. Coming over from Titlest where the driver presents as slightly open Taylormade fitted her with a higher lofted driver lofted right down which opens the face by 3 degrees so the HD with the heel weight would bring it back in line.

I owned a TSR3 and liked it. My buddy bought a Paradym TD and was out driving me by about 25 yards. I went and bought one and was 25-30 yards longer than my TSR. I then went and traded my TSR for another Paradym TD to use as a backup driver. I also had the Ping G430 earlier this year and it was very forgiving but not that long after after that I had a Stealth 2 Plus, really long but not very forgiving at all.

That's one weird swing you have there to get 25-30 extra yards from one driver to the next. All the smash factors should be really similar so simply comes down to spin rate and launch which might have just been a shaft thing. Did you get fitted to any?
