yep! just throw them up and go. Thats what Taylors goal was. He said he even used these kits in stereo mode on some major releases already. That says a lot.

Sounds great , I just can't deal with kontakt . I know I'm missing out but I hate bloatware . Took me hours to remove everything when I refurbished my machine

This software from MixWave is $150, but do I also need to spend the $300for Kontakt 7 to use it? Or will this work (without any restriction) using the free Kontakt Player?

Forest! This is rad. It also brings up a big question: When it comes down to creating the final draft of a song, are you bringing an acoustic drummer on board? I would say the answer is yes, but I'm really interested in how you work. I cam across your videos last week, and got hooked (while at my desk, at my day job). As a producer, are you the person who calls up the drummer to work with? If so, Can I contact you about that possibility?
Sometimes, not always. really just depends on the song and artists goals. As a producer its your job to oversee pretty much everything to make the production happen, hiring musicians, booking studio time, making sure they are paid. I just saw you entre video and I totally loved it, you answered all my questions, I own the entire ggd and sd3 libraries I mainly played them with my electronic drums, do you really like the mixwaves drum samples better? And if I had to get one to start with . What do u recommend? Thanks 🙏
The problem with Mixwave and GGD is that they all suffer from the "Steven Slate syndrome". Especially GGD, which appear to be the main contender Mixwave is up against. As a fusion drummer recording on a high-end e-kit for ourselves and clients via Superior Drummer 3, Addictive Drums, BFD3, the old Mixosaurus and OWD, NI ARD and a plethora of other libraries, I can of course appreciate GGD/Mixwave, since I happen to have them on one of my SSD:s. But even the so called "raw" versions (I am looking at you, Invasion) have an inherent velocity curve of a clipped "S". Hitting my snare at a velocity of 1%/ppp still triggers a sound equivalent of a compressed mezzoforte at best. Apparently that is not the case with the libraries I have tried from Mixwave (Royster and Pridgen) when used "raw". Still, that is nothing compared to SD3 kits of today, where I actually get the output of ppp when I want it. A few routes to misconception during these 8 minutes was using the old pre-2017 SDX NY II as a comparison. As we know the newer libraries from Toontrack starts at around 100 GB each and only progress from there. The recent Area 33 clocked in at 180 GB. The old libraries are around 15-20 GB, so they are obviously vastly different. It is also very clear when you play them on a nice e-kit that Mixwave works fine on a rainy day if you have nothing else, but SD3 still wins the battle with ease. Nowadays I/we only use the YRC kit in Death SDX for commercial releases. It works for EVERYTHING except jazz/bop, in which case I would go with Decades or Hansa. Royster does not even enter the equation. Truth is, most people don't really know what real drums sound like, and maybe never will. But end results is still what matters, and even though SD3 are not "real drums" (even if they are), they are still my first choice for basically everything. Including progmetal and slowfunk.
Hi, dude! That's right! And you saved me €112. I am just a hobby musician drummer... but I definitely can agree with your points. In fact, I am like addicted to these Toontrack libs. Man, they sound so amazing. I was playing a creepy drum set in creepy rehearsal room. And then I (43) quitted 2015 because family, job, house.... and 2019 my wife proposed to buy an ekit for the kids. And I ordered an MPS-850 and EZDrummer2 and baaaam. That was it , with " For the kids". Amazing sound of drums... a year later I switched to SD3 and evolved a bad EZX/SDX collection syndrome. Then I got, of few month ago, the GGD Benny Greb... and nah.... its a nice kit, but no cymbal chokes and some issues with the hihat. Now, I grabbed the MixWave Tony Royster kit, and again, no cymbal chokes. Damn! I keeped an eye on the Mike Mangini kit also but that's what I meant with you saved me €112. I think, I will leave it alone. ... Do you have a tip for another old classic SDX. I got Area33, DD, FoR, Hansa, Hitmaker, STories, Progressive Foundry and tons of EZX.... :-)
Do you like mix Snare just by Solo it inside the Mixwave mixer, or can one route each of the Drums into separate tracks like one can do with the Slate, Superior, etc.?
I purchased the tony rooster jr download l have a Roland td27 module.When using my pc with the mouse and highlight a drum l get the sound to the PA system but when hit each drum with a stick no sound generated how do I fix this Thanks

Would you mind telling what that online sample service it was and maybe a few of the sample packs you really like? I truly appreciate it!
The point of this video is how easy you can get great tones. I’m making it obvious Mixwave is a plug n play option. I don’t wanna use the unmixed presets.
I agree with you that Studio One is best for music edits. I strongly disagree that all drum VST are the same. Mixwave is hands down the best out of the box mix ready kits I’ve heard. If you owned most of them you’d immediately tell the difference! Thanks for your comment.
