Lol, I just did the Lighting temple tonight - fantastic dungeon but I didn’t realise there was setup I was was supposed to decide on before the seige on Gerudo Town
The lady straight-up tells you to talk to the 2 people (also shows you where they are…right next to where you are at that time) to prep for the defense.
Agreed 100% strongest top to bottom. I even enjoyed the defense of Gerudo town even if it was short. Would love see more temples like this. What would you say was ranked higher in the game as individual sections?
It’s crazy how they seem to go all out when making the Gerudo quests for both games when compared to the others. The quests are all better in Tears but Gerudo still felt like the most complete. My only complaint is that Riju’s power is clunky which made stuff like the boss more frustrating than it should.
when i went in i just made sure to bring shock fruit so i could make my own shock arrows when needed, it helped in the times when riju was either on cooldown or just not in the right place
Am I the only one who never saw the barricade and army parts of the defend gerudo town bit? They let me skip all the defense parts for some reason. I never knew that was a thing!
I absolutely agree that the beginning of this dungeon was the best part, but the bait and switch to doing the same thing as all the others made me really salty. Didn't help that I did this one second so I had some hope that it would only be the Rito dungeon that was DB style. If I include all the lead up to the dungeon I agree that it was the best, but the dungeon itself takes a distant second for me.
@@persondy-tme too, but it was because of the silly boss i also thought that the water temple was teaching us about real world ocean pollution in some way…
Lightning>Fire>Wind>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Water>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>whatever Mineru's dungeon is called
It's only my second story bit but yea. The Gerudo area was 🔥. I kinda agree that I wish the "Defend Gerudo Town" bit was longer because I pulled out my strategy RPG brain for that one and I didn't get enough return on investment 😅. I really enjoyed it tho. Now on to Zora's Domain for me.
Lightning is the best dungeon in the game, and yet it is mid at best compared to other zelda dungeons. And the reason why it stands above the others in my opinion is because it has an intro section before getting to the hub, so it doesn't feel as formulaic. What would've really made it a solid dungeon is if you had to solve some puzzles without riju at the top of the dungeon, and then backtrack after activating the terminals to unlock stuff with riju before fighting the boss.
I would say the lightening temple does rival some of the best dungeons in the series, wind temple as a introductory dungeon shits and damn near every other intro dungeon in the series imo
I thought it was so smart that they made the temple pyramid-ish, since you couldn't use ascend (as far as I know) even if the goal was to get to the top of the dungeon!
I accidently got there too, but nothing happened. It did let me know that I was gonna be dealing with hella Gibdos during the boss fight tho so I prepared for that.
Woah had no idea you could get into the bunker from above, I really struggled to find it because I didn't think obviously enough, I found the secret shop first and finally ended up coming from the well when I saw the bottles with love messages drifing along and followed that up.
