I own three bags from Hazard 4 and am really impressed with them, it seems like they designed most of them with comfort in mind right from the start, and it shows when you get a feel of those slingback straps.
I’ve carried that bag for 4years everyday, and love it. I recently bought a new one, to sit on the sidelines ... in case my original falls apart ... 💪🏼🤷🏻♂️
Great video. I had been staring at a MOAB 6, MOAB 10, and a Rush 12 pack from 5.11 in front of me for the last week and none of them impress me. The MOAB 6 seems so uncomfortable. The MOAB10 is basically the same size as the Rush 12 so I can't really see the advantage of it because when you load it up, it also becomes uncomfortable with one strap. I own a Rush 72 , so I don't really see investing in a Rush 12 which is just a smaller version. This looks like a really functional, comfortable bag. It also looks like this bag will fit inside my Triump Tiger motorcycle panniers (The MOAB 6 does, the MOAB 10 is too long with the plastic backing and has to be crammed in. I just ordered the Hazard Watson in coyote color right now and I'm going to return the other three bags.
I have watched your videos about shoulder bags and like them. I have watched some of them many times. It occurs to me that the last bag is not a shoulder bag and it's like 2-3 times the size of the other bags, so it shouldn't be compared to the other bags, but your review is great. I own a UTG Multipurpose bag, a Rapdom Field Bag and the 511 PUSH pack and your videos encouraged or "pushed" me towards buying the 511. I found some very good deals and took a chance I'd find something to like about each bag. The black 511 is for EDC around town and the other two for more outdoorsy stuff or emergency situations. My local sports store carries one of the small MOAB packs, and I find it awkward preferring a more conventional backpack or shoulder bag. I have seen people carry them in back and in front and they seem handy, but I don't care for the design or I am not used to the style and just can't adapt :)
How would you say Hazard 4 compares in quality to 5.11 and Maxpedition? I have a Moab 6 right now for hiking but it doesn’t have a water bottle holder. I like the sling pack style because I don’t want to take my pack off when I need to grab something. I was looking at the Watson on Amazon but I have never heard of Hazard 4. I was also looking at the Mobius 2 and the Maxpedition Veldspar. Bottom line I guess I need a bag for short hikes that has a water bottle holder and it has to be at least 10 litres.
been watching your reviews sir and I noticed that you've found a solution on the moab 6 issue.does it still hang loose behind your back? planning to get a moab 6 and based from ur review, im quite unsure because of the issue of the bag hanging from your back. I am hoping u can educate me further sir..
great video and gear. I also carry an EDC bag. I call it my second tier EDC. my first tier are the items I carry on my person. gun, two spare mags, leathermen sidekick and cold steel recon 1 folder. my bag is the DRAGO gear, don't know what it is called but it's very similar to the maxpedition. I love it, great quality and very fair price. paid like 40 bucks for it. thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching. You are correct, what we have on our person is always first tier. A bag can always go missing, but unless you lose your pants you should always have your main items with you. take care
You were wearing the UTG and the push pack on the wrong shoulder. That's why they didn't feel right when worn on the back, which is how they are meant to be worn.Try them on your other shoulder sometime.
I got the Maxpedition FatBoy sholder bag in od green for edc and when it arrived i filled it with all my essential and it was great perfect for my every need however i had to stop carrying it as in the uk these bags look outlandish everywhere i went people where coming up to me and asking what was in my bag if i was in the military or going hunting and it became a daily nusence so much so i opted to stop carrying it, it seems uk residence are just not used to seeing tatical gear so id be vary for any uk residence looking for a new edc bag .. c:
To be fair you did buy a bag in OD green, black would have probably gotten less looks but it would be nice if these bag manufacturers started creating stealth versions of these bags without all the molle webbing and a little less beefy while retaining all the organization and utility.
Great video brother! Amazing there are only 2 videos of this bag on RU-vid, smh. Quick question, I'm thinking about getting it now, after watching your review since it's on sale for $81.00 on Amazon. Has the bag held up for you? And what your average weight load? Would you say 10 pounds and under for long periods of walking? Just concern if I had to walk with it for 20 mile would my shoulder be on fire, lol. Thanks again.
+PrepperAgenda The more i use it the more i love it. Plenty of space, very comfortable. My bag weighs 12 pounds and sometimes i add bulk currency which puts it up to around 15lbs. You will love it.
Antonio Botello Hey and Thanks. If the Evac Holem is the one I have seen it is basically the same pack as the watson except it goes up about another 4-5 inches taller on the center/main pocket. Sides pouches are the same. Otherwise it is the same layout.
If you are wearing it right you can easily access the pockets. He is wearing it wrong. Put the bag on like you were to wear it on your front so it is vertical then slide it behind you. From that position the bag is resting in a horizontal position and is far more comfortable, also no gap anymore. Furthermore, when worn in this configuration it is easier to get to items when you swing it around to the front, because now the bag is in the vertical position. This is how the bag was intended.
This bag is a lot bigger than your last EDC bag. What was your reasoning for the size increase? From conversations we've had before I know you live "in" the bush, so I'm assuming that played into your decision making. Your last EDC bag seemed more organized because you had to consider size limitations. Your new EDC bag seems less organized and and it seems to "me" that more stuff was added just because you have to space. If you need to have more space why don't you just carry your Kelty? I must be missing a variable because you always think things through. Maybe you're spending more time in the Bush (no pun intended). Keep the videos coming. I look forward to watching them. Hey and thanks for the question. I actually have the same exact stuff in this bag as i had in the last one. With this one I have the options of adding stuff when needed depending on where i will be on any given day. The last bag had no extra room. For example as i say in the video I threw in an extra rain jacket and mountain house the other day because of where we went. The other reason i needed more space was when I go to the city and exchange money the currency here is 90 to 1 on the dollar and therefore I find myself carrying bulk currency. The Kelty is a big bag, moving in an out of vehicles while in town would be tough. Plus the old EDC was really starting to wear on me. It was becoming uncomfortable to wear on the hip and was straining my right neck muscle. This one was meant to carry on the back and is amazingly comfortable. The other thing is that I can carry a little more water and for me that is huge. Thanks for watching and asking.
Cool. I carry your old EDC bag. I do more traveling in Urban areas so I use a smaller bag.
