I’m not a huge fan of ff’s but I feel that’s allot to do with the way I hold and use my knives,I work in construction so I always take a firm purchase on my knives and find myself closing ff’s accidentally , I also appreciate the peace of mind of having a locked blade weather I’m prying, cutting or sharpening. That said the design is really cool looking it’s sleek but not threatening and the blade shape looks really functional

Richard Davis I’ve been using the kershaw shuffle 2 for a few years now and until recently I’ve been really impressed with them as a work/edc knife,I had to buy a new one last year (previous one was stolen) sadly, it turned up with a bunch of problems; the blade sat at an odd angle when closed and it wasn’t a centering issue and the handle screws were warped and bent, which I noticed when I first removed them for maintenance. On re assembly the two bent screws wouldn’t re fasten so whoever assembled it really messed up! soon after the washers tore themselves apart, making the action terrible! now along with the other problems it sits permanently off centre and I have to keep the pivot tightened more than ide like just to stop the blade scraping against the liner, and there is also substantial up and down blade play! I contacted KAI USA (kershaw and zt brand owners) and their customer service was terrible. I emailed them multiple times before getting a reply when they eventually got back to me they initially lied to me and said that they didn’t have the spare parts to send to me despite the knife being one of the most popular that they make and still in production at the time. when I questioned that they gave me more lies and eventually after waiting days and days for emails(the person I was speaking to just couldn’t be bothered) I was accused of damaging the knife! I explained that wasn’t the case and it was the 1st time I took it apart so that was clearly how it was assembled in the factory,and regardless that didn’t change the other issues I noticed on the inspection/unboxing . they just didn’t want to stick to the warranty!! They eventually demanded That i sent the knife to them in the USA for them to inspect sent recorded and insured which would have cost me roughly 5/6 times what the knife is worth! when I explained that wasn’t going to happen and and why and said that I wanted to speak with the woman’s manager she stopped contact completely! outright just ignoring me! so now I have a dangerous terrible knife that I can’t use. sad that kershaw has turned into this type of company all for the sake of some t6 screws, 3 spacer barrels and a couple Teflon washers.

Richard Davis I’m sure your right but here in the uk d2 is stupidly expensive for what it is and a 2-2.5inch blade is where you want to be so you are within knife laws and you don’t startle the cry babies that think of a knife as a weapon instead of a tool

I have a sage 1 but I honestly don't carry it all that much. Just ordered a domino though.

Question for the knife people of RU-vid. Should I get the OKC Rat 3 or the ESEE 3? ESEE 3 has bigger handle, better sheath, and a better warranty. OKC is 40 bucks cheaper. Pretty much the same knife. Same blade shape and steel.

100% agree give him a last hurrah but at the same time it was completely unexpected to see him so it hit harder as it came out of the blue. And then the line we filmed this last week so you know he’s already gone , haven’t felt like that since I was 15 watching the end of Good will hunting
