I would have to go with Cybermen. The idea of them, the body horror. The conversion scenes in age of steel were truly horrific i thought. 10th planet ones very creepy. And World Enough and Time brought these aspects together amazingly. In fact World Enough and Time may rank as my favourite Cyberman story ever. So thrilled that my favourite show as a child is still going strong.

I would have said the Daleks at one time, but they have been overused since 2005, meaning they have lost their impact. The Cybermen are a great choice, but I would have chosen the Weeping Angels. The Sixth Doctor once suggested that his own race were the greatest monster, at the end of his trial. In theory, Time Lords become Weeping Angels when they die.

Best Doctor Who monster, by far, is Sutekh. He was an entity with untold powers of devastation, and if he ever returned from the trap the Doctor set for him he could lay waste to countless worlds.

I knew someone would pick The Weeping Angels, and I have to concur. My younger self may not forgive me for that one. And the Autons are a close second (bring them back!)
