Destiny 2 Season of the Wish
Solar Warlocks have so many exotics! And a lot of them are actually really good. But which should be used in different content throughout destiny 2? In this video I will explain what each of the main solar exotics do and where they perform at their best. Its not a one size fits all, some of the exotics provide huge support or survivability while others are all about increasing the offensive aspects of the subclass. Since its season of the solar right now its really worth investing into a few of these builds for easy completions in anything from dungeons to GMs.

I think Phoenix Protocol is the best one to use. Especially for a solo player. Having near constant uptime on your Well makes the entire game easy

I use pheonix protocol for every gm I do its so good when I get another pheonix protocol well and a cenotaph well and we just drop well use rockets to ads and champ move to the next next area. Its infinite wells and rockets its so fun in gms

Starfire is still very much effective for both ad clear and boss dps. My favorite part about it is you don't need to proc anything compared to sunbracers. Especially in a raid settings, kickstart mods, high discipline, and ember of benevolence make it personally in my opinion more effective than sunbracers, and I don't even need an empowering rift. I'm not too much of a fan of starfire being painted in a negative light constantly. It didn't really get nerfed, just a rebalancing with a different gameplay loop.

I miss using star fire protocol. Im not a warlock main and i missed out when Starfire was meta. Not sure what to run with it though since the meta has changed. Though i do miss seeing the satisfying damage rotation if Starfire

Honestly that was a fun little era. Sucks we won't get to revisit it but I remember watching some video and even though I saw how different the change was, idk I feel like it still supports you with frequent usages of fusion grenades. The closest thing we got now though is using apotheosis veil or something (exotic helmet) which can help you dish out maybe like 4-6 grenades which can be something if you want to feel how it was.

You can also run sunbracers with Ember of searing fragment(Defeating scorched targets grants melee energy) instead of heat rises since solar grenades already spreads scorch.

I think Starfire's a bit underrated here; straying away from the traditional empowering rift loop just makes for a really safe and bursty combo. Can outvalue sunbracers in the right ad density imo Also dawn chorus is not that good in raids, yes it makes dawnblade semi viable but that still trades well of radiance for a really long super; just rof dumping rockets would be better dps Cool video though, especially for newer players

@sauce4660 FR people forget that it was never supposed to be a dmg exotic and has always been very good for neutral game and it still is. Love using it with Polaris instead of dawn chorus. It goes well with my play style

ik this isnt solar specific, but mantle of battle harmony is good in gms for #1 obviously the super cooldown and #2 the extra damage to solar weapons after a solar kill

I've seen a few use it recently and it makes a lot of sense, I completely forgot about the super cooldown buff! Will give this one a go

@@DuqkD2 yeah it's good for being in GMs but if you want damage to close the gap in solo then yeah I recommend dawn chorus, but make sure you know how to keep the scotch damage at 90~ at all times unless you can pump out ignitions like crazy (like this season + Polaris or any exotic that can scorch hella fast)

I've seen teams use multiple copies so they can share the grenade cooldown buff but its rather niche overall,

In terms of DPS, nine times out of ten it's better to just use rockets than chuck grenades that each deal ~170k damage

Ehhhh I think every exotic it depends on a few things. Phoenix for raids or team content where people need it. Dawn chorus for solo stuff that makes harder content easier. Sunbracers for when you wanna screw around and have fun
