Im surprised to not see the original Urban Decay Naked palette. While the formula did not stand the test of time, it had the makeup community and makeup lovers in a real chokehold when it came out. I used it on my wedding 10 years ago. Oh the memories!
Totally agree! Although I am fair skinned. I truly feel like Jackie was robbed of her moment by those giant Norvina palettes. I really wish it was a permanent item.
This video definitly reaffirms I’m in the right place lol. Give me a ton of neutral shimmers and throw in a couple of special squares every now and then, and I’m a happy girl.
Yes I love my Mercury Retrograde palette and I still use it all the time! It actually has my favorite shimmer eyeshadow of all time, I think it's called Galaxy? I've hit pan on multiple shades. It's an oldie but a goodie for sure! I'm loving all these nostalgic videos lately, it reminds me of like 2016/2017 when I first really started getting into makeup
I’d love to see this become a series for you, I loved this video!! As for Mercury Retrograde I love it because you can almost pick the shadows with your eyes closed and they’ll all blend seamlessly.
I finds the same thing with the rose quartz palette! It’s stunning every time I uses it 🙂 I also have the naughty and empowered palette but they are newer to me. But they all seem to blend effortlessly!
If i remember correctly Subculture came out not long after Modern Renaissance followed by the Prism palette. When Soft Glam came out people were saying that they were happy that ABH had gone back to their usual formula. People forget about the Prism palette a lot. It was a dud for the brand.
I still got all of my ABH palettes, for some obscure reason, but sultry is my most loved. Also, I’m not surprised for glam from ND, it is an incredible and accessible cool tones palette. It blends easily and really make brown eyes look amazing.
I’ve been loving the videos you have been doing lately just talking about makeup. Personally, always having everything have to be so “new new new” was getting tiring to me. I’ve been enjoying how you and a few other beauty RU-vidrs have also been just talking about makeup in general lately. It’s been refreshing. 😊
I loved this video! I think it’d be cool to see what peoples most repurchased make up is. I’d say for me it’s the Rare Beauty mascara, nars foundation, and Rare beauty eyeshadow primer. Hope your doing well 🥰
I have quite a large collection, yet pulled out the Glam Palette to wear today! Haven't used it in months yet something prompted me to pull it out this morning and look! #1!!
Look. I chose SOFT GLAM. I HIT PAN, BOUGHT ONE -IM USING AND STILL HAVE A BACK UP. YES. ❤❤❤❤❤it has so many variations. That burgundy and pink shimmer. Wow. My 2favs. I try to dupe. But. Nope. I think the staycation with Desi was a fav back then.
I love this video idea! My fave Huda palette is Rose Quartz but Mercury Retrograde is definitely a fave of mine. There is so much diversity and it creates the most beautiful summer looks. It’s colorful without being intimidating to neutral lovers, and has a great variety of shimmer formulas as usual.
Love Huda Beauty Mercury Reteograde! It has neutral colors yet some bright colors that I love to try. Also love the Natasha Denona Metropolis. Love the deeper colors. I bought the Alter Ego dupe then bought the real thing and so love it
The Jackie Aina palette is my fave. I gravitate towards ABH palettes when I’m traveling, but I have almost all of the Natasha Denona palettes as well. I even have the two huge palettes Natasha Denona did early on, though I rarely use them now. ABH Primrose is my 2nd fave.
Sultry is so iconic. The other two ABH palettes you mentioned are too, but Sultry is the one that got away for so many. It's perfect. And I have every ABH palette since Modern Ren. I actually have every palette you mentioned here as well.
Do you remember all the flack ABH was getting online when they initially released photos of Sultry. It was when rainbow palettes were really taking off and people were so angry to see another neutral palette and then to make matters worse Urban Decay released Naked Reloaded.
It's funny that you mention the Two Faced Peach palette because several years ago, I went to Sephora ready to buy the Modern Ren, but they were out and suggested the Peach as a similar vibe. It was my first high-end eyeshadow purchase! I don't have it anymore (I gave it to my grandma), but I still remember the experience!
I’m at work watching this on a break and I legit starting clapping at the Glam palette!!😂😂 (although I Iove them all). And you’re 100% right. It’s JUST makeup, but man…it keeps us connected. This was so much fun to watch! ❤❤❤❤
I'm stopping this video at 3 minutes in. My favorite eyeshadow palette is Tiny Marvels .Every time I pull it out it kind of just blows me away at how pretty it is. Ok back to watching you!
❤Buying new makeup is 😮a great idea! Doing using what you have and different eye looks! Lots of people are trying to save money and different eye looks.. Love Tartlet in Bloom! Yes...
I voted for Glam!! I remember seeing the first ad for it on instagram and immediately saying, I’m buying that as soon as it releases. I don’t know if I’ve ever bought a palette the day it released but I did for Glam and it was absolutely worth it. Biba and Sultry are other faves as is Rose Quartz.
I've almost completely used up 2 shades in the the ND Glam palette and I think I've finally convinced myself to buy another one in the fall Sephora sale.
Unpopular opinion, but the original ORIGINAL Tartlette is my fav. I have the In Bloom, but I like the original better. Also, have to give a shout out to the OG Naked palette for starting it all. There’s a few shades in there that were my go to.
I feel like such an outlier for picking a colourful palette😂 Anyone else being a clown? I myself am a happy one - my pick was Kaleidos x Angelica Nyqvist Club Nebula😊
I LOVE the Metropolis ND palette but I went the dupe route and bought the Alter Ego Artemis palette. We're headed to Ireland too!! We're going for Thanksgiving - touring with Globus. SUPER EXCITED!!
The best ABH palette was the original Mario palette. It was my first "high end" palette and I really wish I had known it was limited edition when it came out so I could have bought more than one!
Loved the video, very interesting, as, although i cannot handles these formula's on my eyes anymoe (to sensitive) i will always be an eyeshadow addict dear Samantha!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩But love my softer on eyes beautiful shadows from Suqqu, Chantecaille etc. So nice you're going to Ireland!!!! Sending you and Aries lots of love!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘
I own almost every palette you mentioned except for ND metropolis, Biba and CP taupe which I’m planning on getting before its discontinued. My number one palette is ND glam. I absolutely love that palette. I have a few ND palettes but glam is the one I reach for the most.
Ahhh I was feeling a little like an outlier that I hadn’t tried a single one of the palettes until you got to #1. I have such a sentimental connection to ND Glam, it was my first time to try YOUR fave brand, it was the first neutral palette I tried, and I just fell in love with the formula and color story. I was having surgery so the night before I went to Sephora and let myself spend the money a way to ease my anxiety and have something fun to look forward to when I was recovering. I love that it took top spot and that you felt so excited to see it keep getting votes!
It’s interesting how Natasha Denona is glamed Palette and going coconut are being compared to Natasha’s brand new “I need a Nude” pallet. I definitely see the cool toned neutrals as the common element … if you have going coconuts, I don’t think you need the I need a nude for $70. That’s just my opinion. Of course, I don’t take my own advice because I’m waiting for the new pallet to be delivered😂.
Love this video idea! Viseart and ND make my all time current favorites. OG Lorac palettes were up there for me back in the day. I was never really an ABH Stan. Although I've owned all the ones you mentioned, Subculture and sultry were my favorites (not a huge warm toned fan).
I love the That’s Taupe pallet. It’s so pretty and versatile. I used the Huda Jaguar pallet a whole bunch. Also the Wild West pallet from Urban Decay. I used to use that all of the time. I have the Rose Metals from ABH and love it. I know it dark but it’s so pretty to me. Great formula too. Top notch.
Loved this video! I still own quite a bit of ABH. I don't love decluttering palettes. I have Modern Renaissance Soft Glam Sultry Rivieria Prism Jackie Aina Carli Bybel Nouvreau I decluttered the OG Norvina and have regretted it multiple times.
abh has my fav eyeshadow formula especially ever since they reformulated their shimmers starting from the primrose palette! They’re just SO soft and the color stories are also some of my faves ❤
I recently did an eye shadow declutter and got rid of a faur few palettes, some you mentioned. But I still have the ABH Sultry and Soft Glam, Colourpop's Going Coconuts and Tarte's In Bloom palettes. So next months I'm going to focus on using them throughout the month. I have the ND Metropolis palette. The only one I still owed and I've actually got that out to use this month.
The natasha glam palette is what I wouldn't said. Saved my money for that, was really trying not to buy and I did. Then I misplaced it, and instantly bought a new one lol ❤
Yes! I feel like these are all favorites that have withstood the test of time but I am surprised there’s no ND Naked or Too Faced. But #1 didn’t surprise me one bit. ND always kills it. 💜
I am not super active on IG. My top brand is Sigma for sure. Though, I recently bought a couple Sydney Grace palettes (Heaven on Earth and Tropicolor) and zamn. Sydney Grace is fire. I've been playing with Untamed this week. I did a really cool toned look with the sparkly purple shade fierce and it was a stunner. Today I'm playing with the mustard tones and a green lower lash. Beautiful.
The ABH Sultry is still my favorite but I love love the Nouveau!! I love the HUDA Mercury Retrograde too - amazing formulas in it and my favorite spring palette to wear.
Hi Sam, my two favorite palettes are the Modern Renaissance and Sultry from ABH. I also love the pinky all Matte mini palette from huda beauty. Those two brands are my favorite when it comes to eyeshadows. I also own ABH Jacky Ayna, norvina, subculture and soft glam. I also own her minis.I own mercury retrograde and it has an amazing formula. I believe people love it because it has a beautiful color story. I own 22 palettes and most of them are ABH and Huda beauty. I would love to watch more videos like this, now I’m curious about what are other people favorite blushes, concealers, foundations, etc. Please make this a series. ❤❤❤❤
My ABH collection includes ModRen, SubCul, Norvina, Prism and Sultry. Like you ModRen wasn't really my colour scheme but after the internet went crazy I had to buy it! Still only use the left part of the palette but it's still hanging around. This video reminds me of an old every day or starter eyeshadow video you did circa red wall era and the KVD shade and light palette was such an everyday palette for me back in the day!!
Lovely video!!!Yes the Tartlett in bloom I do still have 😃 And CP Coconut and Taupe palettes.😂 and the Biba 👌and Sultry and MR from ABH and I have used it two days in a row now - soooo good. But I love my Too faced Natural and Natural matte.
Honestly ABH is such a good brand. I adore the Soft glam palette. I also have Sultry, Jackie Aina, Subculture and Amrezy (very Barbie vibes), and the Nouveau palette. They don’t disappoint. I decluttered Modern Renaissance because the red pigments gave me allergies 😢
I often wonder what makes a palette fall flat. For me Urban Decay's Born to Run should have hit all the check marks for me yet I barely used it and I can’t say why.
Does anybody likes the idea of making tutorials with older but classic famous palettes? Call it vintage! Like new trends with vintage palettes. “Latte makeup look with vintage ABH palette”
The Huda Retrograde is special because the formula & the prettiest spring/summer colors look so beautiful. I have gotten compliments tons with this palette. I have dark brown hair and green hazel brown eyes. Even though I’m 54 and the sparkle is a bang I feel comfortable because the colors. You can also just use the mattes which are stunning.
I still have, still use and still love the Going Coconuts and That's Taupe pallettes. The only ABH pallette I've ever owned is Norvina. I still use it, too.
I still use the tartelette in bloom. And have big dents in all the shades. And I love Juvias nubian 3. And now I feel the pull of the Glam palette again. I was so much back and forth on it, but opted out... But now I want it😂
