"Pendor has a few magic weapons, but, yea, light on the fantasy." Um, forgot to mention the elves, their city hidden by magic, giant armies of un-dead, and demons with huge flaming swords.... Also, you criticised Pendor for having most of it's best content in the endgame. This is true. However, this is also where it's most needed. I can't tell you how many games of vanilla Warband I've started and never finished, because the early game shines while the late game falls off. So, I would consider that a plus.
A matter of perspective I suppose. It is true that late game can get boring but I usually expect mods to show off what they have, instead of having me grind to find it.
I noticed your point of view about Pendor difficulty a few times, but it's not related in that matter, PoP is showing quite quickly what it has in it's guts, the snake undead cult is litterally the roaming bandits of the Empire, the unstoppable undead army ravaging the country, the witches. Everything is quite easily accessible and it's not related to grinding. You're right about the difficulty of Pendor, the mod is liked because it requires investment into it and it is a real challenge for a lot a players. Also, that does not makes your wrong about the low fantasy setting, because pendor refused to make proper spells into fighting it has to be considered as low fantasy because magic is basically curses and rituals and not fireballs. @@TerryDuke PS : I find Perisno more grindy and difficult lol, but that does not makes PoP better, I just like both, and both have flaws.
Nice! If I am permitted a little correction, the style I went for Vasnar is more of medieval/renaissance armors mixed with 18th century clothing and aestethic, hence all the tricorn hats. Not sure how good that turned out
I stopped playing Perisno for few months now because I'm waiting for the updates. Last time i played my archers were shooting even though the enemy is still behind the mountain and no vision yet😅. Best mod for me was Prophesy of Pendor. I literally conquered everything. I spend so much time preparing and training my army until they can destroy an army of Elves (one of strongest units in the game) before i decided to end my journey. Most satisfying moments were when my CKO circling the enemy with their horses until the enemies piled up in the center, then when i let them fire their bows it was just massacre, my Knights were too overpowered😅. They have the fastest horses, best bows and arrows and one handed sword.😁👍
@@crazydiamond3403tell ur best companion to train them, its in the dialogue menu, and talk with ur steward to buy them gear the gear is really expensive.
Even though it is an unfinished, somewhat niche mod; you should try Chronicles of Might and Magic. It is like a conversion of Heroes 3: Might and Magic game. It has many unique features/models/cities I've never seen in any other mod.
One you may not know of is The Conquerors of Coultchorn. The thing that makes this unique is that it is so obscure but very developed. You may think that its another Prophesy of Pendor clone but most of the mods you mention most have heard of them this is one that is barely mentioned. CoC is probably still on the Nexus but should be played with its tweaks mod which is also on the Nexus. Another one is the Age of Heroes on ModDB its a Greco-Roman fantasy world that is also like Perisno or PoP.
Where is chronicles of might and magic mod?... Phantasy Calradia is also fun and Chronicles of might and magic is probably the best magic mod which for some reason was not even mentioned here???. Warhammer is also amazing mod.
Hello friend, you got a like and a comment from me, but I got a question. I installed the warsword conquest mod 2 days ago, everything is working fine, except for 1 thing, when I click in town activities, doesn't matter in what town, there is no option to learn magic. I got 2 points in every magic skill, what am I doing wrong?
I do, I open my game through it every time, no errors are shown when I play, I think magic works in my game as it should, mercenery wizards cast the spells, they have visual effects and everything, one time a spell killed half of my army. The only issue is there is no option to learn magic in cities I can only buy a ship or join a tournament.
Prophecy of Pendor sucks. Factions are poorly balanced and the "difficulty" comes from them not caring about balancing anything. You basically start out as weak as a peasant who if forced against highly trained fantasy knights in large groups. Unless you grind hard and scum out the AI you are in for a bad time with a ridiculous grind to get even on a somewhat even ground with their silly fantasy world they made.
Terrible take dude. All factions have specific extreme strengths, though some are easier to manage and fund as the player than others, every single play style has an optimized and powerful starting path for character creation, you can get powerful units everywhere from all taverns and for free from defeating the countless easy to kill, hell, easy to solo parties of low and mid tier troops running around. There’s several ways to just absolutely out scale all ai and become wildly overpowered and multiple systems to earn crazy renown and denars like no tomorrow. It’s one of the absolute easiest mods to become overpowered in fairly quickly and still have some deadly enemies to try and put up a defence against you.
@@OrroHelhammer I mean, there's honesty, and then there's bitterness and sadness. Of all the things you could do with your day, you choose to take a moment to be mean to some youtuber just trying to make content for people to enjoy. Good for you man, you've been noticed.
@@TerryDuke oof you got a real victim complex huh? "Some youtuber just trying to make content" stop acting like a martyr man your life isn't that bad. Im sorry you cant handle honest criticism (i wasn't trying to be mean) from the public you supposedly make content for
@@OrroHelhammer oh, I'm not suggesting I'm a martyr or that I have it rough or anything, I'm merely saying that you had the choice between moving on from a video/channel you don't like, or be mean at someone to feel good about yourself. I'd suggest you find something better to do, but if that's all you got, well as I said, congrats on getting noticed.
