I agree with you about faux flowers. Designers will insist only fresh flowers and greenery should be used because "fake flowers are so tacky". But, if you stick with good quality silk and dried flowers and arrange them in an attractive container, they can look so stunning. My own rule though is DO NOT use the plastic type - that is tacky.

I bought some fake flowers years ago. They were more pricy than I usually spend but have used them for more than 15 years so we’ll worth the money! You hav3 a beautiful house and decore. Hope you get better soon!

Thanks for your video! They looked beautiful in your room. As a professional plant killer, I often purchase faux plants to decorate my house. but many faux flowers looked bad and smell terrible. My friend recommended a website called La Rose Flower to me several days ago, I will have a try. 🌻.

I get my faux flowers from a website called Piper Classics in Pennsylvania. Really nice realistic quality and fast shipping. The other realistic flowers I've purchased are from Magnolia Market, pricy, but very realistic look and feel.

I love your house inside and out. You do a great job. I don't know if it is my phone or TV but on all of your vlogs your voice is echo-y and at times (not from being sick) the music is a bit too loud for your voice. I don't have that issue with any other vlogs. But I will still watch because our styles are very similar!

Hello, and thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. On faux flowers. I have baskets everywhere in my home. For flowers, the throw pillows, baskets for extra couch throws. Those are some of my weaknesses. But then I have . Several chandeliers. It's pretty crystals. And the rainbow colors. Have a blessed day. !

Odd numbers applies to all decorating. 3 is more pleasing to the eye than 4 for some reason. Love your style.

I purchased a corner cabinet from Marketplace last weekend after watching your videos. I love it but am going to let it relax in my home for a few weeks before deciding if or how to refinish it. It's 5:30am and my day off.......so I now have to wait a few hours til the stores open to shop for stems! Your style is as charming as you.

Walmart does carry peonies. They get them in the spring. They are big and very full. They are usually .99cents each. The lavender is also a great spring purchase. A great summer flower they carry is ranunculus especially if you are doing a large bunch of just one flower.

Thanks for showing ppl that silk floral can be beautiful just as fresh floral. I tell my clients it all depends on the quality of the stems but you can definitely create a beautiful design either way

Your favorite is my favorite too. I’ve been decorating with those chartreuse green viburnum (snowballs) for nearly 20 years. They look so real and they look beautiful en masse in a huge vase or basket or in a French jardiniere or in a small bouquet in a white ironstone pitcher which I’m using on my kitchen island, sitting on a bread board, right now! It’s my all-time favorite, and looks so cheery and SO real! 👍

No need to feel guilty with faux flowers! They are made for a reason! I buy mine, the higher end, when on sale at Hobby Lobby, plus a good place to find them are at Nurseries. Yes, they too have. I'm very French Cottage Farmhouse/Shabby Chic, so I do pops of Color. I love decorating period!

Love this video. I have some i got from tj maxx that look so real that people havecbent to smell them and say they feel real.they are old time roses with a sort of yellow brown center. Thanks for all the tips

Also try to buy seasonal flowers, and one shade is definitely best, and yes odd numbers is a must unless you’re doing very modern arrangement ikebana ect Sometimes I even but fresh with faux in water people never know and really there are not many blue real flower so they do look fake Florist for 38 years.💐

Thank you for sharing your tips. I really thought it was real bouquet 💐 when i see your arrangement in the other videos. I have to admit they make very good impression on photos as well. I have a couple of bouquet of faux flower at home. But i still like real green...can explain why but faux doesn,y make the same atmosphere in the house. Fabulons on photos. I live in Canada so i can enjoy having flower all year long. But i have orchids, aloes , money three and a lot other green plants to keep me happy until spring time.

Faux flowers can certainly be a great substitute for the real beauties🍃🌼🍃 like you reference there are many true to natural you only have to assess well the faux flower's color, shape and natural texture to nature. Thanks for all these tips. Great video. Do you clean them by swishing is warm soapy water? I do every once in awhile to freshen again.

I paint white wax on my leaves, and rub off . This gets rid of the green plasticy look. . Makes them more matt and adds variety in colour.

Check out David Austin roses. I ordered a rose bush online and I would order more if I just had space in my garden. The roses he offers have a high petal count and very beautiful. I also recommend growing zinnias. Get some seeds and just sprinkle them on the ground. They’re so easy to grow.

Ditch music. Not sure who came up with putting music on every video, but think of sitting in a classroom trying to understand what is being said. Or being a speaker of a seminar. You wouldn't want someone sitting in the audience playing music on their phone as you're talking because the point is for your audience to hear and absorb what you're saying. Your decorating style is fantastic.

I can’t use fresh flowers because my cat wants to eat them! Most are toxic for cats, so faux is the safer bet! Also, less fuss!
