The balance. The movement the shot selection, the cutting off of the ring, that's why he stops everyone he knows how to get to guys and open them up, Feoch definitely underselling Arturs skills
It's not that simple. You don't just ko ppl left and right that's in front of you. Canelo couldn't ko bivol. Ggg couldn't ko canelo. Wilder couldn't ko fury. Tyson couldn't ko buster douglas. Boxing is a sweet science. And bivol is a master boxer.
No one's predicting Bivol knocks out Beterbiev, so I'll go for that. He's been knocked down a couple of times and Bivol's good enough to make sure he doesn't get up.
@@psy-opwhat is the point of this comment mate? Beterbiev also got floored against johnson. Does it really matter? Their winning records speak for themselves surely.
Chris Eubank Jr will always be remembered for the fights he avoided, GGG, Canelo, Benavidez, Charlo and Caleb Plant etc He only fought and beat an over the hill and far away James Degale and Lost to BJS and George Groves
No doubt Bivol is a quality boxer but what sways me to back Beterbiev is his ability to cut down the ring and he’s a very good boxer. Can’t wait for this and believe we won’t be disappointed.
I think there's going to be an upset with the Whittaker/Cameron fight. Cameron is the hardest pro fighter that Whittaker's faced, and is seriously underrated. I'd like Whittaker to win, because he's such an exciting prospect, but he hasn't yet proved himself - all the showreels of him showboating are against journeymen. If you know how boxing works, you'll understand why taunting journeymen, who serve an important role for the sport, is a bit low, and certainly doesn't put him on a Prince Nas level. However, if he does come away from this with an eye-catching win over Cameron, then that will shut people like me up.
Throughout the history of boxing the master boxers have had more victories over the pressure fighters of the sport rather than the other way round. Tunney mastering Dempsey. Mayweather mastering Canelo. Calzaghe bossing Lacey. Even Ward mastering Froch ( sorry Carl!).On that historic basis I lean towards Bivol but Beterbiev is not your ordinary bruiser. He has mastered the art of cutting the ring off, chipping away and ultimately destroying everyone put in front of him. I can visualise Bivol putting on a masterclass of pure boxing genius but I can also visualise Beterbiev's unstoppable pressure catching up with Bivol at some point surely. I'm changing my mind again, damn it!😂.
Most of us underestimate the skills of Beterbiev simply because his power and his relentless competitive nature often overshadow his other good qualities, which most of us fail to notice or mention.
When you say they're Russian, they are both Russian with an asterisk. Bivol is not ethnically Russian at all, and was born In Kyrgyzstan to a Moldovan father and Korean mother. Beterbiev is Dagestani, so yeah, it's part of Russia, but they have their own thing going on. Anyway, zero desire to get into an argument with The Cobra, so I'm just saying it coz I think their backgrounds are interesting and could do with the expanding on beyond the Russian tag 😜. And I gotta say as a casual I'm also looking forward to this fight. I do think these guys have got a quite a decent profile outside of just the core fight industry. Like many others, we just want to see the top quality fights, and this feels like it has the potential to be one of the fights of the decade.
Canelo got completely outscored by Bivol, and was made to lookl like a midget. But he was able to get up close and land at some points in most rounds. Beterbiev is much bigger, stronger and has excellent timing and ring generalship. If he doesn't get cut, then I pick him to catch Bivol and get the stoppage.
Although he's now established himself as the best heavyweight I'd love to see Usyk go back down to Cruiserweight and take on the winner. Possibly retire after that. Though the Fury rematch is not a given. I know it's never going to happen, but what a way to step down.
That would be perfection.. to beat Fury again and then go down and fight the winner of this match and then win that one! One of the GOAT after that for sure...
Everyone's got Bivol. He does move well which will make it difficult for Beterbiev to land but if he does...I would have backed Beterbiev all day long personally until I heard that Beterbiev is working on speed, I don't know why but I always worry about a strong hard hitter when they say they are working on speed.
Massively looking forward to this fight. Boxing is going through a renaissance period right now and we are getting proper fight match ups. I think Beterbiev is a legend, but Bivol is a true boxing technician and is after the undisputed title. Slightly favoring Bivol, but could go either way. Love the intrigue.
I think this is a pick em fight. If Bivol can keep him on the outside, then he wins on points. But if Beterbiev gets on the inside, it lights out.I honestly can't pick a winner.
I was disappointed that Chris Eubank Jr retracted it, but I guess he's saved himself some £££ (or bunce) and we all know he didn't REALLY retract it. Kind of disappointing, but also kind of sly with it. Looking forward to the whole card...... as the lesser likely outcomes are Bivol by KO or Beterbiev by points, I wonder if this unexpected flip will happen?
Hi, everyone. I'm a big boxing fan from Romania and, after what you did that dreaded night- more than 10 years ago, (broke one of our best boxers ever- Bute hasn't been the same after you defeat him) also a big fan of Cobra's. What an amazing talent! About Beterbiev v. Bivol fight... Tough. Very tough to pick a winner. Personally I'm hoping Bivol beats the odds and wins. Peace.
(DB)Bivol, is the more sophisticated boxer, but I don't think he has enough to dent (AB) Beterbiev and I see AB turning the screw around the 9th and chopping DB down and winning by a stoppage.
The 3 judges only gave it 115 - 113 for Bivol v Canelo. Shockingly bad scoring. Bivol is as text book perfect as you will ever see. Beterbiev is all about belief.
Bivol all the way. I watched Beterbiev v Gvozdyk earlier and if that is anything to go by I think it could be alot easier than people think. Probably on points but I got 40/1 on round 9 and 10 at Coral. Definitely worth a £10 !!!!
Bivol had 12 fights that went to 12 rounds, and none of the boxers had knocked down Bivol, or Bivol seriously got hurt or really got rock in any of those rounds. Beterbieve won't get many chances to get Bivol into the brawl fight, or Betrrbieve won't pressure Bivol into the corner to power shots for a knockout.
I don't know if you have done anything with Shane mcguigan but I would like to listen to you 2 maybe getting together at the end of the year and reviewing the year and what you are looking forward to in 2025👍🏾👊🏾
I backed Fury against Wilder, Usyk every fight and Dubois against AJ. I think Beterbiev has Bivols number and its already a win. I think he walks him down calmly, preserves energy then sees his chance, takes it, game over.
I 100% think Bivol going to stand his ground and push him back, and if beterbiev pushes him back he will box and move. But I got a feeling Bivol might come forward at him like fury did wilder and fight 2. No one has done this to beterbiev 👌
Бетербиев был чемпионом мира по любителям, и был признан там лучшим боксером любителем мира. Два раза был чемпионом Европы. Человек без лучший боксерской техники и без высокого боксерского IQ таких результатов не добьется.
I'm taking the unpopular pick. I think by halfway through the fight, Bivol has been dissuaded by what's coming back at him and he's outworked down the stretch, but knows enough to keep himself upright. Beterbiev on points.
Canelo was 1/5 on fav against Bivol. Massive fav. Put on 5 pound u win only pound. What hapoened when u fought Ward? Oh yes, u landed nothing, got dominated and he was the one pushing u around. Power only revlevant when u can land.
Tiny margins win fights at this level. I think Artur's knee injury and his age will be the decider in this one. UPDATE: I just read his ex Missus slagging Bivol off and telling the world about all the injuries he carries... WTF! Not at all sure I'll be putting any money on this one - oof!
Beterbiev for me. He will walk him down. Bivol doesn't have the ammunition to keep Beterbiev at bay. Canelo, steppping up, is not the same a Beterbiev. Also - Wardley over Clarke - for no reason other than I want that result ...
No one in the boxing industry thought Canelo would be Bivol and no boxing fans outside of Mexicans thought Canelo would beat Bivol. Where is Carl coming up with these false statements?
