Hey man, nice vid. Do you think fiend cowl is a good choice instead Guardian helmet? I have been using this build for a while, I don't find guardian helm suitable for a few matchups.
I think it would be. I stuck with Guardian Helmet because of how cheap it is and the hard counter it is to curse but fiend cowl is a really good choice right now with the mobility meta going on.
Great video, I just don’t get tired of your work with fire. ATM, the best solo option is wildfire, then, with spellbook. And you run flat 5? Wow, you are good!
I'd say it is the strongest for low IP runs. It relies a lot on the E however, especially Vs high IP targets as it melts a 1400 IP leather user to 50% with that alone. And that meatball isn't always easy to land. And yes, first Q for basically any melee encounter and Vs targets where I know fire does more DPS than what I am facing. I use third Q situationally and Vs say boltcasters, regular bow and even spears where keeping the distance is the best way to win.
@@F3EDER I just ran around a bit in PVE to test the first Q and you are so right! It is so fast to cast and hits every time. I like the range on the 3rd Q - as you’ve pointed out it could still have situational uses where you have a chance to reset abilities. But I’m now sold on the first Q. I’ve been using the burning ability (first fixed) but I’m guessing you favor Agressive Caster for faster casts? Or maybe energetic to deal with energy issues?
@@wayneogle1792 Aggressive caster! All the way with first Q. The mana regen passive triggers only on autoattacks which you won't be doing much of with Q1 and Q3. If you go 1h use the damage passive on chest. But here is a thing I do... On the 2h staffs. Put the chest to cast speed passive. 2h do inherently more damage than 1h so even with the cast speed passive the Q1 damage will be slightly higher than a 1h with damage passive. And now you have almost the same cast speed. Get ready to melt!
@@F3EDER I’ve been playing fire for a while, but your videos and explanations make it seem like a whole new weapon to me! The casting speed is pretty silly now that I’ve got to test it out. Thank you!
I haven't for a while. I got burned out doing them some year or so back. However, you don't need to switch up much to do a very viable take on this for CDs. Switch the chest to Cultist Robe, and make sure you have Searing Flame unlocked on a T5 wildfire and you are good to go and VERY competitive.
Hello I'm a newbie in this game and I always die in bz, may I try this build, but first can you tell me what is the name of those gear, I only know guardian helmet and soldier boots, thanks.
Cleric Robe for the chest piece. Tome of spells is the offhand. If you are very new though I would recommend either Infernal Staff (if you are more PvP centered newbie) but since you are new and looking into fire. The great fire Staff is the best in the tree for PvE clearing.
Guardian Helmet defense, you can do whatever really as it makes little difference with cloth. Cleric Robe, damage passive. Boots, defensive passive Wildfire Staff , aggressive caster to pump up Q1 DPS by 40%
All the plate stuff on extra defense, chest piece damage mostly but also reduced cast time works if you go spammy Q. For staff passive, if I kite typically the passive that adds auto attack burn or the increased damage passive. If spammy Q then always reduced cast time after 4 spells
I think one of the best is Undead. Fire lacks a lot of mobility and when I've ran duos with a friend Undead Cape is a lifesaver. After that one there's a few others I'd say: Morgana Cape has great synergy Martlock to beef up your defense Lymhurst for the mana issues of fire Keeper for boosted damage Heretic is also good, considered a troll pick but the snare is stupid long and if they get caught... That is a lot of easy damage dealt Vs melee Thetford is usually good but since you won't throw many autos at all it is a waste Sterling is decent but kinda meh here Caerleon is hands down the worst cape out of all of them for fire
Oh yes! Very effective still and made up out of stable components. You need to be clever with the engagements though as mobility is a slight problem (that firewall can help mitigate if placed correctly)
Not really. If you go giant you will lose out on mobility. Sure, you get double your healthpool but on the surface of Open World you'll be an easy target. However, I run mostly rejuvenating sprint and only wanderlust situationally. So if you prefer giant mode situationally then it's all good. Just don't use it as your main choice when roaming. It'll get you killed 🙂
