@@JosephKarthicNo idea how your using the phone to do that. I've had my Open since January, I'll charge it overnight and it easily lasts me all day, sometimes 2 days. And I run a business, it's always in my hand, making phone calls and using it opened for multitasking
I noticed that you didn't mention the durability and customer support. Many people are complaining about their screen cracking for no reason and One plus taking 4-5 weeks to repair the phone.
how do you even mention about stuff for a phone that isnt even out yet, even if he does in the full review the user experience WILDLY varies depending on region
This is unfortunately all the manufacturers for the folds. When I worked wireless here in the states, most people left their fold because Samsungs garbage customer support and they are a huge company.
@@Emppu_T. Proper full sized front screen, far better camera hardware. Inside camera isn't under display so it's actually usable. Less crease. More of a matte finish inside. Overall build quality. Lies flat on table. Feels more solid in hand.
No one ever mentions the fact that trying to get these repaired in the UK is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE. The support is non existent, AVOID. Never see reviewers even mention it, but why would they I suppose, they can just buy a new one
@DRcatscratch maybe go and do some research rather than "highly doubting" and disrespecting an African country. OnePlus do not have any retail stores and worse, they do not have any authorised repair specialist outlets in the UK. This is not new information and is known by many. If your OnePlus device fails it has to be shipped into mainline Europe where the device will be serviced in Poland, Czech Republic and some other countries close to Eastern Europe. I had the OnePlus X and went through this very same process back in 2016 and went weeks without my phone. The fact it's still happening nearly 10 years later shows you exactly where OnePlus's priorities are when it comes to post sale support and customer service.
@@Enzyme2210 from Oneplus. I bought an Open for £1,200. Although checking again the Apex model is £100 cheaper so God knows what they're doing with pricing. The Honor Magic V2 is £1100 right now.
It's priced at 1500 in Europe so not that much less I'd say. Add trade in and it's 1050 bucks. That's less than even the discounted original. Which is btw not being sold by carriers anymore so good luck with warranty and all that.
Mate where are you from! Me and me fella are from Durham and we think your accent is North Easternly but more south than Durham! Please let us know it’s killing us!! Much love 🫶
It's the exact same phone just with a different colour and extra storage, it has the exact same support window as them. The black & green versions have had a year of updates already, as this is the same phone it has also had that year of updates they're just applied out of the box. If they gave the Apex edition an extra year then people owning the green and black versions would be extremely annoyed that they aren't also getting that extra year because there's no technical difference between the devices, they'd rightfully feel like they're being left out of updates due to policy alone despite the updates being available for their exact devices. To make things right OnePlus would have to then give the green & black owners that extra year of updates... which would put the Apex edition back in the position it is today...
I gotta say this is a pretty lame effort. The OP Open was awesome for its first effort but at this point they could have at least updated to the new chip if they're gonna regurgitate the phone and charge more for it.
"Dated snapdragon 8 gen 2" lmao it came out a year ago 😂😂😂. Phones running an 888 from years ago can still run everything, the 8 gen 3 will be "dated " in a few months by your standards
Uncle squrt can you try to call OnePlus to fix their thermal throttling on the OnePlus 12 because they set the thermal throttling temperature to 38 degrees it is to low for the snapdragon 8 gen 3 . When it get to 38 degrees they set the OnePlus 12 to 55 fps I can't even play game at 60 or higher I hope they can make it like the Chinese version which thermal throttle at 50 degree celsius When you use your OnePlus 12 does it have this issue? Also the phone sometimes go to 120 fps and drop to 55 fps then goes back to 120 can you call them to fix this too uncle squrt
If the inner screen is very reflective, then it's got to be another type than the regular Oneplus Open. Because that one has a wonderful anti-reflective coating on the inner screen, putting the likes of Samsung Fold 6 and Pixel Pro 9 Fold to shame with their mirror screens.
You should review the blackview oscal pilot 2. It's a rugged smartphone. There's also the unihertz tank 3 pro if you want something more high end with a projector built in.
@@DRcatscratch I have no desire to buy and trade, and the rumored specs of the Open 2 are what I want. I also couldn't care less about the North American market's limitations.
Ive finally got over my fear of a fold breaking on me and really want to get one. I wish i knew when the open 2 is going to come out because i really think thats going to be at the top of the list for best fold. I dont know which one to get thats out right now. Battery life is important to me and none of them that I've seen really stand out in that dept
Same I’ve been wanting one for a while now but was holding off due to the durability of them. Remember my mates Samsung fold 3 and what a bag of shite that was. Personally I’m planning to get the open 2, which I imagine will be next year.
Just swapped out the Fold 5 for the Apex. Better camera Better screens (Size and the crease is barely visible) Way faster charging and slightly better battery life too. 1TB storage is the latter. I still do prefer the Samsung UI over this as it was more feature rich. Wish the Apex had a better IP rating.
Durability? support? 7 years of updates? warranty? software and hardware quality, thin bezels, stylus support and features? that'd be a no,no,no,no,no , no and no :(
Hello tech spurt I really like your videos and I want to be a RU-vidr like you and I was going if you can send me a iPhone 6s space grey I want to start a RU-vid channel and make some money so I can provide for my family since my mom just got fired from her job
