My Black lab has a blood cancer and was given a median time to live of 52 months and that was in 2015! He gets eggs, ground beef, ground chicken, chicken breast, bone broth, some hemp seeds, flax seed oil sometimes, chia seeds on occasion, sometimes I put tumeric in the food (I like to cycle things in moderation). He is happy and living life! He has bad hips but I massage him more than three times a day and I notice how much it has helped his mobility. He licks his lips and yawns during the massage and that’s a sign it feels really good 😊
Ty. Our boy was given six months to live 5 years ago, we stopped feeding him kibble after I read up on the rubbish, roadkill, euthenized and other unknown toxins in even name brands. He turned 21 and has a loss of perfect sight and hearing but he still is the guard and loving boy he's always been. One cooked egg a day, cooked meats from liver to chicken, fish-sardine, beef plus alittle veggie like sweet potato, broccoli & carrot...he also loves gravy-homemade. Oh and bottled water lol
Cesar, I need your help desperately, I don’t want to explain myself here in social media, it is a place that I can send an email so I can go in detail. Thanks in advance
For the last 14 years I have cooked for my dogs grass fed beef, wild caught salmon & chicken combined with organic fruit & veges - both raw & cooked. I also use BPA free plastic or borosilicate glass food bowls. And, my dog only drinks spring water. Super healthy, long living dogs and no vet bills.
I bought the ingredients and cooked up a bunch today with chicken liver, rice and chop meat. I told my Zeus I was cooking for him. He stayed by my side and couldn't wait. I fed him a good cup, he is small. So satisfying to see him eat and be content. With about a pound of meat, 6 cups of cooked rice and three big livers I have enough for 12 feedings. Thank you Cesar❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have been told not to give dogs liver too much it's usually when they give a dog that's had puppies. Maybe raw liver I don't know I'm not done that yet but I know my daughter's dog you cannot give it any chicken livers she has diarrhea with blood almost immediately
@@MrImog65the issue is organ meats needs to be a small percentage of their diet, not a full meal or large amount for a treat or snack. Any dog given too much of an organ meat will have diarrhea.
When I give my gal home cooked meal..she's so happy & thankful 4 it afterwards.. Rubbing herself on her back all over the sofa while making a happy growling noise. Certainly is a difference to wen I giv her her kibble n lily's.. even tho lily's kitchen wet food..Is homecooked food in a tin..so.... Probably as u say..'dogs get to smell u prepare it & wait 4 it-which in turn, is teaching ur dog patience, even tho they don'tknow it..lol.' Thanku 4 ur loving insight..🌟🐕💚✌️👍😊
I make my dogs food. Once a month. A FULL day of cooking, divided, freeze it.... defrost in the fridge the night before. She loves it and she loves me!
Do you warm it up for your pup or cooking on the stove? I'm just thinking about cooking for my pups bc one is 14 old and he's been eating lil bit of his kibble and want to try something else😢.
Same! I feel the same. I watch to learn how to be a better person for my dogs and it's healing for me to hear him talk and make spiritual connections with our physical life with inclusiveness with our doggos.
Almighty must be proud of you. You do good by the creatures and you sincerely care about helping dogs, humans, and other animals. Thank you for helping life. Thank you for helping Yah.
Not a commercial "Sales Info" here is real information and learning for those who will. Thank You Ceasar ...better humans better world.... that's exactly what it is ❤
@@markusfinkler9625I don’t smoke or drink or eat anything other than natural fresh foods. I feed our dogs the same way. I don’t know the brand Cesar is promoting - presumably good quality from what he shared, but fresh/raw is always best imp.
@@louisemayb kinda hard today to know what's the best. Look how some animals are treated before the get on your plate... A shame what humans are doing. I guess all You can do IS trying to do Your very best. Keep on 👍
My 3 large dogs get cooked ground beef, fresh mashed sweet potatoes and fresh raw broccoli, liver, and coconut yogurt. I love cooking for them and they're all very happy at meal time ❤
Thank You for this wonderful video, César! "Food is very important in treating cancer." You are so right! That's the reason why one of my my sisters defeated cancer twice! God bless You, Your family and Your work!
I have 8 dogs mostly all rescued from the last minute before euthanasia, pit bulls and Rottweilers, I agree that kibble is definitely detrimental to their health, I have cooked for them but it can be expensive with so many. Will try to incorporate these suggestions, so many have allergies especially the pitties and I have tried so many brands. I want them to live a healthy and happy life they have less time than us and should be able to be disease and illness free❤❤ they give so much more in return. Thank you Cesar for all your help through the years.
I pray that you are richly blessed for rescuing those animals, may you always have an abundant amount of money to take care of yourself and for your rescues❤
You are the kind human we need more of on this earth, past years people been so cruel with abandoned pets, in every sense. I wish for you abundance n riches so you can keep going.🙏
@@RoshNaidoo59 Thank you I appreciate your blessings. We do need them in times like these must admit after I wrote this comment definitely went through some testing times in the month of June. Things were very hard but thankfully, I think we might be back on track. Thanks again.
My 13 year old poodle dachshund only eats home made food, rotate chicken, liver, turkey with veggies weekly, each week I change bulk to barley, quinoa, or a variety of beans. No commercial dog food. Have discussed my dogs diet with vet often, 100% great he said and he can’t believe my pup is 13. He still hikes my ski mountain with me 4-5 times a week. We walk or hike, depending where we are at least 2 hours a day, usually 3. It’s my exercise that I need and Obi always sprints ahead of me. He is my pride and joy.
I buy fresh beef liver n chicken heart, dehydrate them, thinly sliced for the beef liver, whole heart, in the dehydrator for only 7 hours, n they are fantastic cheap healthy treats for our 5 dogs..keep refrigerated just in case, less than 3 dollars a pound at the store...same with chicken feet.
1.Kibble should be the best quality but we don't have control of what is in it. 2. Homecooked - Everybody loves home cooked. 3. Carnivore and ketogenic -you take your body and brain health to an optimal level. I have learnt a lot from you Cesar. Thank you.
For balance nutrition my dog take kibbles, but I do share my cooked meat, rice and vegetables as well. we feed raw bone meat once a week, regardless how big the bone left, he continues chewing and does not left any pieces at all, then got constipation the next day😂
When I was a little kid I had a puppy and I trained her to be potty trained back then we didn’t have the pee pads. I used newspapers. Taught her to sit, shake, now as an adult I have 3 small dogs and I have taught them to sit, shake, as well potty trained. I have seen your videos a few years ago and I have learned more like not allowing them to charge out the door when I open the door.. I’m fostering 2 puppies and will be using many of your skill in helping me train them so they can find a loving family that will open their home to them until death. 🙏🏼✌🏽🖤🐾
That's SO nice...your love for cooking, celebrating the joy of cooking and sharing for your dogs...it makes SO much sense...thank you for sharing this aspect about your daily routine I did not know! All the foods are SO exciting even for a human to hear 😅
Kibbles are actually incredibly bad for dogs. Have you ever read the ingridients? I've always fed my dogs raw meat, no grains and none of them ever had cancer or were ever sick. My pitties lived long pass the 10-13 years mark. My friends who feed their dogs kibbles and dog "food" have had cancer or some kind of illness. Dr Shawn Baker did an excellent interview with a vet from Australia. He has some very insightful informaton worth listening to if you are interested.
You are so awesome, Cesar. I’ve been watching you for years. You are so spiritual. I totally believe you are a high spiritual person that came here for a reason. And I think you know that. Thank you so much. ❤ 🙏
Thanks Cesar. I've been a fan for a long time. I recently adopted a 3 year old whole female lab with 3 legs. I know the family that had her previously and they unwittingly taught her a lot of bad habits, like feeding her junk food that made her fat and also not keeping her in her yard, which is why I have her now. (The animal control office told them if they didn't find another more suitable home for her they'd take her from them and put her down.) So while I normally give Cesar the top grades across the board, I've been using a different approach with Flipper. (Named because one of her front legs looks like a T-Rex.) I use 8 Extreme Large Kongs/day to spread out her meals/food. I hide them all over the yard and the house, one at a time. So unless she's in heat, when her appetite for food lessens, all of her senses are in over drive throughout the day. She's always waiting for the next Kong installment, so instead of scarfing her meals down in 30 seconds, her one long "roaming meal" lasts the entire day and into the night. I am feeding her a high quality kibble supplemented with sardines, apples, carrots, broccoli, cooked cground beef, grilled chicken breast, blueberries, strawberries, and eggs. (I cook for her; I eat pot pies!!) And when I give her "snacks", it's broccoli, carrots, ground beef, chicken, etc. She's so food driven they ARE treats for her. So I've "tricked" her into thinking that her normal food is nothing but a varying array of treats all day long. Watching her find a "treat" and proudly bring the Kong back in her mouth is thrilling to me and, more importantly, to her. Instead of it just being a boring routine, feeding time has turned into an all day enrichment challenge. (I'm retired so I have the time to spend with her.) So mixed in with walks and playing with toys she has a busy day and sleeps well at night. (Then when she goes into heat, a decision I made to keep her whole to allow her natural hormones to keep her hunger in check and her weight down naturally, everything changes, and she naturally shifts her attention to boys vs food. Given the fact that she's a bit more limited in terms of walking -- she does great for short distances so I make sure I take her out more often, but there is still a limit -- I feel it's important to employ all the natural defenses she has against obesity. I don't want to spay her then have to starve her for the rest of her life just to keep her weight under control.)
I try to limit how much dry processed food I feed my dogs (3 dogs, 2 are very large.) They start the day with Grass-Fed Beef and reconstituted Honest Kitchen Dehydrated Food. They get goat milk to increase hydration as a treat almost every day. For dinner they get Nature's Logic Sardine Kibble, sometimes with added goat milk or egg or some kind of gravy - one of the only dry dog foods that does not use synthetic vitamins. Some of the best treats I have found are Stella and Chewy's dehydrated chicken hearts. They get a soft boiled egg a few times a week. I do give bully sticks, gullet sticks and marrow bones as treats. Dogs are carnivores - they need meat and moisture! Love to Cesar - I love your information and you have helped us so much with our dogs over the years.
Yes nothing more loving than cooking for your dogs! Thank you Cesar I forgot about the big marrow bones! Nothing better than a happy kitchen with all happy members! Wonderful video!
This was so helpful. You need to do more of these videos, Cesar. I love learning from you. You are an expert. Thank you for all you do! I wish you we lived closer so I can take my furbabies to you.
You are so awesome, Cesar. I’ve been watching you for years. You are so spiritual. I truly believe you are a high spiritual person who came here for a reason, and I think you know that. Thank you so much.
Hello Cesar, great video as always! I've missed these type of videos from 2020-2021 you've made, love to see it :) Also a question: What is your opinion on raw feeding?
@@RichardHorswell cooking food is good for dogs that are sore to their stomach etc and older dogs. Overall it won't hurt. Better human fresh food then the dog food.
Thanks for everything you do for us and for your pack and dogs in general, Cesar. We home cook food for our dogs after having a dog with digestive issues, we just got in the habit and have always done that. My Irish Setter has a gorgeous coat, which I attribute to good cooking, or healthy ingredients. Nothing will help them come back if they are off leash and not in the dog park. They love to run. Maybe too much of a good thing and too much energy...!?
Your tips are invaluable. Have watched you for years even tho i don't have a dog. But apply your principles to everyday life to keep myself calm & ability to communicate in a calm state.
The video was informative, I have experienced the health benefits of cooking for my dog, she had liver shunts, when I took her to vet she told me my furbaby only had weeks to live, I found a recipe from the univ of TN & cooked it for her, she lived 3 plus years more. 🙌🏼💕. When cooking for the dog it’s important to include vitamins with omegas, calcium etc or include foods that provide this for your pet. Rice has no nutritional value, replace this carb/starch with a vegetable that will render more benefits. Thank you for the video 🥳💕.
@@OffGridDogs That’s not all he talked about though. Overall the video has solid info. I feed my dogs raw with no rice so I agree with you that is best food.
@@PackLeaderDogs And I agree that he had some good information in the video about how to feed just all wrong about what’s best to feed. And certainly what he’s feeding is better than just kibble. I’ve always liked Cesar because he focused on training the human so this incorrect nutritional information is disappointing
Gracias Cesarrrrr!!! Eres lo maximo 😁. Saludos desde Venezuela!
Hey Cesar, thanks for all your work. You are really a legend. I wanted to ask if you could make a video about "oldschool food". You know, the stuff that people in Mexico, or for my part in rural eastern Europe, have fed the dogs forever basically. Not those expensive dogfoods in supermarket. I remember that my old aunt fed her dogs cooked oatmeal with milk in the morning
The answer I've been waiting for! this will help me very much with my German Shepherds :) thank you very much Cesar! Much love and thanks as always 😊☮❤ P.S. your the best :) ☮❤
❤❤❤❤ SO GREAT!! I we feed a raw diet! We do marrow bones & bully sticks at the end of the day! 🐩 Our dog is 13 year old now, she doesn’t walk to much! She just enjoys her life! 🐾🐾🐾
