The part at 35:00 is more fun if you have a slightly messy desktop! It looks for certain words and you get a few variations on the energy collection minigame like mining diamonds for the word Minecraft! It's cool the amount of reactions and considerations there is in this game. So even if you've watched this video, it might be worth it to play anyway, there's different endings too (edit: apparently there aren't different endings, all the routes come back to the same place, but it's still worth experiencing yourself)

Outcore is extremely underrated, like. It is a free game with multiple hours of gameplay and decent quality. Really underrated game. You did a great job on the idle game, one thing is you could've put some commands outside the while loop. but i'm quite surprised you got around that, you did very great!

Kevin has to be one of the best video game content creators. He genuinely just plays to have fun and is an insanely great person. This is not paid content.

I love all the references in the game. Booty’s boss fight has undertale and touhou references (First Flowey Encounter, Photoshop Flowey, and Mima from Touhou 2 which are the hat, and the 4 orb attack) and Laifu has one of Monika’s poses. I also love the idea of the game interacting with your computer. I haven’t tried it and I will try it!

This reminds me of a game from the 90's called Operation: Inner Space. It used your drive directory as a mission list, and you had to select files to 'disinfect'. It was a standard space shooter otherwise, from what I recall, but it was pretty cool as a kid imagining that I was fighting a war for my hard-drive.

Lmao there’s many things that are basically direct copies of something (at least as far as the base idea goes) or as Kevin said “copyright infringements”. I think my favorite one is Manray which is obviously “inspired” by the Rayman video game character.

When I was a teenager in the 90s there was a shareware game called Operation: Inner Space, which was a top-down free-roaming space shooter where you had to stop pirates that had invaded your computer from stealing all your files.

idk if im just reading into things but i really feel like kevin's videos have had a different vibe to them ever since he got his adhd diagnosis. it's like he's working on masking his neurodivergence less again and i know that, personally, his genuine joy and passion for video games was the biggest draw to his work. i generally don't like trolling videos but the comedy night series were the first videos i watched, and i've been hooked ever since their release. don't get me wrong i love every video pre- and post-dx! but it really feels like they're more carefree lately? i just have that adhd-to-adhd brain going so i'm possibly projecting my personal better mood recently. either way i love it when kevin does or says something that shows his neurodivergence because i feel very seen and i also know the liberating feeling of embracing it. like; i see you, kevin. you cannot hide your aye-aye hyperfixation from me!! plus the level of empathy and care he and his editors have been adding to the videos, too. like the fun, creative warning at the start about flashing lights and photosensitive epilepsy; or the assurance after the computer crash joke that's just as good. i'm really impressed with how those moments are worked into not only the aesthetics of the video, but in specific context within the narrative! truly just chef's kiss. sometimes the parasocial relationship between a creator and their audience is very healthy and kind. who knew? :3

8:00 well that brought back a bunch of repressed memories from old flash games involving a robot and similar programming, though you were limited on the amount of commands and loop/if/call functions were very important. Granted I was in college for computer science and was in programming classes at the time, but still when your limited on the amount of commands allowed it was probably harder than my actual programming classes . . .

I'm so glad you played this. It was a fantastic experience.
