While you were the one with all the strength. Beautiful face without a name for so long. Beautiful smile to hide the pain. Did I ever tell you, you’re my hero. You’re everything I would like to be. I can fly higher than an eagle. Because you are the wind beneath my wings. Thank God for you. The wind beneath my wings. Walking a step behind. Letting me have the glory and the chances after chances after chances to each new day. Times where I literally couldn’t have been here. And here I am. Even if your flame is down to a stub he doesn’t snuff it out. He doesn’t hurt you. No matter how bad it looks or whatever the situation or choices. The most we could ever be to come close to anything that would have like a total disconnect is not swallowing our Pride and learning to let go. And I know I couldn’t make it this much in my life without Jesus being there. I cannot wait to be in his presence and even more to be just in the full freedom from every part of the world that has been seeped in despair and pain and hurt and you name it. But we move forward and keep going. I credit having that ability to keep going. I thank God everyday and night. Soon and very soon. Jesus is coming back and he is the only way. Today's devotion title brought to mind a theme song from one of my childhood tv shows. The first stanza of the song is: "People let me tell you 'bout my best friend, He's a warm hearted person who'll love me 'til the end. Those words didn't have much meaning to me 55 year's ago but today they point to my true Best Friend, my Savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout the years no matter how many times I've let Him down, how many times I've tripped on sin obstacles and fallen, He has ALWAYS helped me back up and forgiven me. He ALWAYS has a listening ear no matter what I'm sounding off. He is on call 24/7/365. And let me not forget to mention HE LAYED DOWN HIS LIFE FOR ME, FOR YOU, FOR ALL MANKIND.
