This is definitely the best wallet ever. I love that the cards are staggered across the width of the wallet, not only does it make it easy to get cards, but it makes it easy to get to the cash on the inside too.
Just got one of these, straight from Italy in under a week, under $50 shipped, not the cheapest by any means. Very nicely made, beautiful leather, very thin. My old regular bifold was about an inch thick! So far i really like it & as far as minimalist wallets go this has the most pockets for cards/ cash etc. Great product & service. You get what you pay for!
Just got mine in about an hour ago. This video and the other you made got me to make my purchase..I already loaded the wallet with cards and a few dollar bills. Very nice & smells amazing brand new..Thank you for this video
Love the minimalist approach. I'm currently using a Crabby Wallet, which I LOVE! When looking for a leather option, I think this Cuoieria Fiorentina is hard to beat.
I saw this video months ago, and agreed in principal that is the best design. I purchased a couple of cheap versions off Amazon to prove the concept, and one wallet has been great. however, it's a little small for UK notes and so will now treat myself to one of these. thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing! I bought one for my husband as an anniversary present. :-) He always gets those cheap little plastic things that fall apart after a few months because they are slim, hopefully this will work for him.
I'm an avid collector of front pocket wallets, i have about 22 front pocket wallets, i totally agree with your review on this being the best front pocket wallet, i have a couple of other wallets i used on a daily basis, the others just go into my collection drawer. i ran into your review and ordered 3 wallets the same night i saw your video. i received the shipment with 4 days, which is pretty quick to Texas. i have now been using this wallet for about 3 weeks, i love the feel, the functionality and the compliments i get from people when i pull it out to pay for something or lay it on the table when i eat dinner at a restaurant. thanks a million for your review and would encourage anyone that sees this video and is contemplating ordering this wallet, just do it, you will not regret it.
Does it fit ok in the front pocket? It seems a little long. Is it 4.5 or 4.75 inches tall? I would like to see a different version that I posted 6 days ago.
Canyon Overlook The Wallet is 4.75 inches tall x 3.25 inches wide. This wallet has fit in every pair of pants and shorts that I own. I can't foresee anyone having a problem putting it in their front pocket.
Yeah thats one of the things these dumb effin wallet makers dont understand. Even bi-fold wallets could have it. But instead most of my cards have to become deformed because of these so-called product designers and their bleeding ignorance. I'd like to flip them off with my finger 90° in the air.
Just bought it this item. It's amazingly slim. Holds everything my old trifold did in about half the volume. Search for it on eBay if you don't want to deal with buying internationally. It's going for $39.99 now and it ships from California.
Nice, I was looking for a slim wallet and this seems to suit very well. I'm Italian and I came across this brand thanks to an American guy :) I think I'm going to purchase one..
Still the best wallet I have ever owned as well. Got one 3-4 years ago after seeing this video but the liner tore within a few months. Have tried several other wallets since but nothing beats this form factor. Just ordered another, crossing my fingers for better durability this time.
Thanks buddy.. Your review convinced me instantly to order this product. Honestly can't wait to get my hands on it!! Will keep you posted once I receive mine :-)
Thanks a lot for this video! I've been looking for a new wallet for quite a while, something small and stylish that can fit into suit as well as everyday jeans front pocket. I was about to buy a Bellroy (not really happy, but it looks the best compromise to me), when i stepped into this video. And i immediately bought two of them as well, and for 20€ less shipped (which is a GREAT deal).
I really like you review. I'm thinking of getting one. I carry the dopp black opps front pocket wallet and love it. Just wondering how much cash you can fold and carry? How many bills folded do you think it will hold? Thanks
I personally use the Band-it wallet. I have come to love that wallet. It's really small and is very comfortable in use. You should totally check it out!
Great review. I was looking for something like this to reduce the size of my aging leather bifold wallet which has served me well but is falling apart at the seams. One bonus for me is that it is non-RFID blocking which most wallet are now sold with. It's a nuisance pulling out RFID cards out of my wallet every time for accessing boom gates or enter security doors. I've just ordered one based on your review. Mind you shipping to Australia is more that the price of the wallet but I couldn't find anything that replicated the features. If looking for it on their website it's called the "Leather Briefcase" in the Card Holders section.
Mine came today - absolutely love it and a fine leather to boot!! It is top notch and design is great - wish I ordered 2 of them - if anyone wants to order some I will chip in to save shipping!!
In case you'e still looking, I just received a brown one and a red one. Willing to let them go for $35 each shipped or $30 if you take one. They are far too big for me and the return shipping cost is ridiculous. Let me know
just ordered this wallet. I saw a friend of mine have it and he said it is much better than his previous wallets. I am all about minimalist carry so lets see how it goes. B the way i ordered a black one. Looks pretty good
i like your video, and vary well done,i have been using bosca wallets for like 35 years in one shape or another!and find there leather is finished like no other wallet i have seen!i mostly use the trifold,so i don't think i would gain much by using the one your showing!but it looks like a nice FP-wallet just the same, thanks.
after using it for a while threads started coming out of the card slots as I pull the cards out. And after it stretches out with use the cards will tend to fall out if the wallet is dropped
I just ordered this myself and awaiting it to arrive. After watching this video closely I would say that the only thing I can see that may be an issue..at least to me would be the bulkiness of the wallet since all cards are on one side of the wallet...I would think that if you inserted the cards in one direction on one side that if you insert them the same direction on the other side as well they would be stacked on tope of each other and would cause the bulkiness. I would think that inserting the cards in one end then turning the wallet over and inserting the cards on the other side from the opposite direction might lend to a thinner profile...that's ust my take on it however, I'm still excited to try it out and see how it fares for daily use
I have to agree. I bought one after seeing this review, unfortunately it went through the wash, the leather was fine but the liner was a bit saggy. I could not find anything else that came close to its carryability so bought another. That was 2 years ago still going strong and still not found anything that I would replace it with. Cheers
Hi! Is this the "LEATHER BRIEFCASE" or the "LEATHER CALF BRIEFCASE"? :) 2 different wallets on the website but I can't recognize the difference and which color you have.
As far as I can tell that seems to be the case. There may be a slightly different leather finish to the wallet, but that wouldn't matter unless you had both side by side.
This wallet is perfect. Thanks for the great review. It's exactly what I have been looking for. I ordered 2 based off your review. Cost about 70 bucks with shipping. Can't beat that for 2 quality leather wallets. I can't wait to ditch my George Constanza sized wallet!
The best part about this wallet is that it doesn't absorb heat. The main issue I had with my old bifold wallet was that during summer it would literally be equivalent to a heater pack in your pocket. Not with this.
Thanks for the review. Once we got to the heart of it, it was very helpful. And I think you're right: This just might be the perfect wallet. Also, here's a tip about the little metal thing at the end of a tape measure that will permit you to measure the wallet accurately: It's not loose and sloppy, it's precise and useful. The reason it has some loose play in it is to permit you to *accurately* measure both inside and outside dimensions. The loose play is there to compensate for the little metal lip that reached around the edge of your wallet. 1. To measure an outside dimension (like you were trying to do with your wallet), put the metal lip over the edge and pull the tape gently taught to get an accurate reading. This way, thickness of the metal lip that hangs over the edge of the item does not count as part of the measurement (as it should not).. 2. To measure an inside dimension (like perhaps the width of an open window), put the metal tip against an inside edge and gently push it against that edge to get an accurate reading. This way, the thickness of the metal lip does count as part of the measurement (as it should). In your measurement of the wallet, you were trying to somehow adjust for the loose play in the metal tip. As a result, you measured inaccurately. If you were to measure again (as described in #1, above), I expect you would see that the wallet is 3" x 4.5".
What is the difference between the two wallets that look like this on their website? It appears as though they have different names, but they're the same price and I can't find any differing specs. is it the quality of leather?
This wallet looks promising. I may even carry two. My problem is I always get weighed down by auxiliary cards and things that I need to have just in case but don't need often. Things like your Grocery Reward card, Costco Card, Gift Cards, Gas Discount Card etc. I've tried taking them out of the wallet or leaving them in the car and grabbing as I needed but ran into many cases where I would be somewhere and needed it but didn't have it. How do you all get around that or am I alone in that problem?
You might consider an app like "Key Ring." (keyringapp.com/) It's a free app that allows you to scan all of your loyalty cards into your smart phone and ditch the physical cards.
Do they make them in full grain leather lined with pigskin? And also genuine leather, doesn't that mean lowest quality of all products made out of real leather?
what does "CAP" mean when i am filling out my shipping information? it is a mandatory field so i cant leave it black and dont know what to write. please help. i am ordering from canada
From their web site: ARE ALL YOUR PRODUCTS HANDCRAFTED IN ITALY? Of course. All Cuoieria Fiorentina products are made in Italy using completely natural leather (full grain or calf), tanned, dyed and processed according to antique artisan methods, modelled using the most sophisticated technology and finished scrupulously by hand. For this reason any imperfections, marks or micro-defects in the leather are to be considered an element of quality which certifies the originality of the product and exalts and reinforces their uniqueness.
I am still wondering about the width and weight. In your video it says 2cm and .3kg when you show the site.. Now on the site it says 1 cm and .05 kg. Is it.4 inches wide without anything in it? That would be about 1 cm. Maybe the 2cm and .3 kg is with it full.
just got mine today. like it but the thing I find difficult is taking out one of the two middle cards. The top card comes out easy because you can bend the leather top back a bit in order to grab it. The bottom card comes out easy with a slide of the finger over it sliding it from the card slot. The two cards in the middle however, are difficult to take out and I wind up taking the top card out in order to get to the second and third
As the wallet breaks in, the two middle cards become easier to grab. Might take a few weeks. Regardless of which, I keep my least used cards in the middle slots on both sides as I'm sure most guys who bought this wallet do as well. Enjoy!
Weerzer No, the wallet will be just fine with 4 cards alone. I would probably put one in the top slot, and one in the bottom slot on both sides. This will keep the weight balanced and give you easy access to all 4 cards. As long as you don't put cards in the middle slots, those slots won't stretch out and should remain very flush with the body of the wallet.
EpicSnuggleBunny If you only put 1 card on each side, would you put them on top or bottom slot? It looks like the top would be best so it would remain thinner.
Don't you put your keys in the same pocket as your wallet? ie cell phone in the other pocket by itself? How do your cards hold up with your keys in the same pocket?
+EpicSnuggleBunny not if you use a Key organizer! keeps the keys in place and won't make them scratch anything! also I kinda think the wallet you reviewed was too bulky for a minimalist wallet... but maybe it's just cause I'm not a big fan of leather in general :P
Not enough to worry about. In the last 8 years I've never had problem with any of my cards breaking, cracking or wearing prematurely. I however, do not carry my keys in the same pocket as my wallet, nor do I position the cards in the pockets with the magnetic strip showing. In the opening of the video all of my cards are backwards to prevent anyone from seeing the card numbers, but that was just for the video. In real life, all of the cards are reversed to protect the magnetic strips.
One more question since you answered so fast. The briefcase and calf briefcase look exactly the same...this is the briefcase correct...the description on the site is worded diffrently but seems to me that they are exactly the same wallet just in different colors. Leather calf Briefcases. Inside features eight spaces for credit card, two side briefcase and unique space for bankonotes. Leather Briefcases. Interior features eight spaces for credit cards, two spaces briefcases and only space for banknotes
Ronald Campos Same leather, different finish. The calf might be more supple as compared to the ones I purchased. Softer feel, possible more prone to scratches. But should be the same in functionality.
That's odd, I put a shortened link so it would work on cell phones, perhaps it won't work for other users? I put the old link back up, but cell phones don't seem to like the symbols at the end of the link.
Said in 10 minutes what could have been said in 2 minutes or less. No mention of RFID blocking technology. I would think this would be a must have feature in any wallet.
Agreed, terrible video. Although RFID protection is pointless. None of my credit or debit cards have RFID anymore, all of my cards were replaced by the card issuers with the new security chip cards months ago. So having a wallet with said protection is completely pointless.
My coach front pocket wallet died after 10 years of use. I scoured the internet in search of a new model (coach didn't make mine any longer). I found this, watched the video and was sold. The poster of the video if not in product sales, should consider it. Anyway, I ordered the wallet. Here is my review: All of the things in the video are true and the wallet is really good with two draw backs. The wallet was designed for European currency which is larger than the US dollar. As such the wallet is bigger than needed. It should be a half inch smaller all around. I am now the proud owner of a large bulgy front pocket and still in search of the perfect, RIGHT SIZED, front pocket wallet. FYI, I will sell my wallet if anyone is interested. I have used it for only two days.
I agree it is a little too big. It could be 4 by 2.75 inches or 3 in with only 2 outside slots on each side. That is all I need for quick draw. I think they could eliminate 1 or 2 of the inner pockets which would leave more room for storage because the dividers take up space. They could have 1 main pocket or 2, one for cards and the other for cash to keep them separate. I haven't decided if I am going to keep mine. I don;t know when this was first designed ,but if i remember correctly, the lira bills weren't very big before they changed to Euros.
Also looks like they added non-leather different color versions for slightly less money. www.cuoieriafiorentina.it/shop/prodotto/portatessere-in-vitello-martellato/UC5EMDI0/
They had that variation previously, it's a hammered calf finish instead of the nice smooth leather finish of the ones in this video. Originally they were both 18 euro, but since you guys have bought so many of the model in this video, they bumped the price by 6 euro. Unfortunate, but that's business I guess.
And I love mine - wish i ordered a second - with that said - if you decide you need another to make sure you have enough to last to your demise - let me know and I'll split shipping - remorse I didn't order 2 or 3!
ok so there is 1 thing i dont understad. what do you people do with the change you get? just put it in ur pocket or throw it away cause i keep my change in my wallet
