I always get so impressed by your videos. Not only because they are super helpful, but also because of all the stunning images you show!

Thank you so much for this video, I already use your warm recipe for a while since you post on the blog, but this video really helps me to know a lots more details!

Tips for the next edition: I think it would be very interesting if you, just briefly, explained what made you select the various, individual settings, what the effect is and why you prefer it in that recipe. No long essays , just a sentence or two. That would be both helpful and inspiring to us tinkerers.

You do not try to just sell new gears to viewers just like so many youtubers that don't understand much about photography. I really like that you talk about the real things that matters. Thank you for sharing your recipes with the community, Roman. It's great to see that you have found a use case for them beside RAW and editing. Personally I think it is a strong pro for the FujiFilm system. I have used recipes almost from the beginning and do not do any editing on my files at all and never looked back. I'm not a pro and do not earn money from photography, mind you. Anyways, thank you again. Looking forward to your next releases. Keep the good stuff coming!

So many fab photos in this video. I kept forgetting it was a video and I couldn’t tap to “like”! I don’t know enough about editing and love the jpegs from my Fuji cameras

I was using FujiXWeekly sims but decided to just make my own for the lenses I was using. I just shoot with those and color grade or add grain in Lightroom mobile with the transferred jpegs if I want the effect. I have a lot of success like that. If I want to actually print an image then I’ll edit the raw in Lightroom. Cheers!

Great recipes Roman, especially loved the warm one. I shoot mostly with recipes on my aging XE1 and wouldn't go back to anything else,..

You can also add some kind of defusion filter instead of the clarity setting 0-(-4), f.e. the glimmerglas 1 from tiffen.

Lovely Recipes ! Thank you for sharing !! I like "Muted" the most, but in the video you've set Clarity to "0" but in the recipe in the link it is set to "-2". Same goes for Noise Reduction. Do you set it generally to 0 or do you have a special setting for each recipe ? Keep it up, Fox ! Greetings from rainy Germany !

Great video as always. Quick question - whenever I use clarity in the setting (xe4) I seem to be getting 'storing' message after the shot was taken?

The only way I can describe this tutorial is “powerful”. I wonder how many Fuji users go into their film simulation modes and edit them. When you said “classic chrome” is designed for street photography, I’m just going to get out there and try it out. Many thanks.

Hi Roman Maybe a stupid question, but when you have set the film simulations, do you photograph on automatic or do you set the shutter speed, aperture and ISO yourself? I think on S and then automatically? Greetings Nicky

Colour and tone look good but the strong large grain looks terrible in some of these. I'd personally go small weak or none at all and add a touch in post to the jpegs.

Hi\ you are doing good job, I have question, it might be many other people's problem about jpeg f'ile transfer from camera to PC. I used to transfer pictures from my fujifilm X-T300 MK II to pc and automat'cally, a program opens on pc and all you have to the select the ones I wanna transfer, everything was ok wit a little annoyence like selecting the folder also everytime you do transfer. Now there is a new transfer application showing your camera as an USB device in the window explorer and after select'ng and importing the files \ i get error sign on the screen. I managed using other software without error but picture file don't open. Where do i fail . Do i need a change in the menu? I need help. I like to use cable connection for my transfers not bluetooth nor wifi.

Somewhere I heard, in relation to the XT 4, that the Fujifilm raw files did not play nice with Lightroom, therfore, it was best to use Capture a One. But it sounds like you consistently use Lightroom. Any difficulties with it?

How do i save Theses Recipes?

I reccently acquired an XT-5 and have been interested in the custom film simulations. However I believe I read somewhere that changing certain settings, such as WB, for a custom setting will also change that setting in the underlying film sim (e.g. Classic Chrome, Velvia, etc.) used as the starting point for the recipe, so you would need to somehow restore the original settings for the standard film sim after every customization (which seems to me a colossal pain). Is there any truth to this?
