True. The only thing lacking with the 011 is harddisk/ssd mounting. That part is not well thought over, aldo with the XL we get four hdd places. The other places are not well used, and difficult to attach cables. Lian Li shoudl do themselves a favor and fix those minor, but important, details.

With the O11DXL, keep in mind cooler clearance. Unfortunately ended up running my Noctua DH15 with a single fan only as there just isn't enough room for the second fan to clear either my RAM or VRM cover with the glass panel on
It looks like an amazingly built Full Tower like hot damn. Might want to upgrade over from my H500 next year or so. My shit tonne of fans have nowhere to go LOL
interesting to see a comparision with those cases, since i myself already made my coice a few weeks ago. i chose the enthoo 719, biggest reasons were availability and that the 719 doesn't have an ugly etched window.
Silent Magician I just got the the o11 dynamic. This will be my first pc build. After hours of researching I went with my 2nd overall choice...the o11 dynamic (my first choice was phanteks p400a but they were out) and I love it. I went with 6 cooler master master fan mf120r fans Arctic freezer 34 esports duo for my CPU cooler Ryzen 5 3600 asus prime X570-p mobo 16GB of Corsair vengeance rgb pro 1tb and 500gb of WD black nvme ssd I wanted to stay away from 2.5 ssd for better wire management. Plus the nvme were on sale and the price difference of $10-30 wasn’t worth not getting them. I’m almost done building it. Just waiting for my cpu cooler and PSU to come in.
I bought the 011 xl. Absolutely loved building in this case. Easy access. Lots of routing choices. Lots of cooling choices. What's not to like? My previous case was a cooler master haf x case and I loved it. But was getting dated and wanted an upgrade. This one should last me for years to come.
My last case was a HAF 932, had it since 2011. I just bought the 011 XL... The old case felt super dated and I "couldn't" stand looking at it anymore... Now the 011 XL just feels timeless if anything it will still look modern after another 10 years...

@@atlantic_love Yes, I'm also not into liquid cooling I got an Assassin III inside my 011 XL and my next one will also be a gigantic block of metal. I have a lot of fans, 5 intake and 2 exhaust running at really low rpm but you can get away with much less and still have great air flow. You can get like 6 SSD into this case lol The cable management was so easy I sometimes laugh to myself, I just shoved everything in there with the bare minimum effort for it to look decent and it still looked good enough, the dual chamber system gives you room as thick as a PSU to work on cable management. I hope it helps.

@@ZinoAmare I have 6 Thermaltake Riing Trio 140 fans, 3 in front, 1 on the bottom for intake and 1 in the upper back, 1 on top for outtake. For my R9 CPU I have a Noctua NH-D15 (with both fans) in pull-push configuration. I'm currently keeping the TT fans at 20% most of the time (on 21 degrees ambient temperature).

I was looking at this case for air cooling only as well. I don't really want a midtower because i want the size and space. What are your cpu and gpu temps under load?
Some of their Chassis ain't bad, Core V1, H18, H27. And a couple of their coolers are interesting and innovative. But this does not excuse their actions.
Case manufacturers copy each other all the time Antec have the P120 for example, TT got a bad rep for copying too much shit one season, if they had just provided cost efficent versions of the caselabs cases it would've probably been okay.... I'm not a TT fan or case owner btw just my opinion.
Had to stop the video right at the beginning after describing the challenge. I have already made up my mind way before this video was ever thought of. In May of 2020,. I will be purchasing the Enthoo Luxe 719 . Already planned to be my first ever custom loop thanks to your not so long ago video of your build that you successfully built. That was awesome and congrats again my friend. I know the cases will be different than what you did. But still the challenge for me awaits.
I love this channel, I spent hours on end watching your reviews for cases when doing my first PC build in 2017. Thanks to you I got the Phanteks Enthoo Pro and I love it. So I'll definitely be spending hours here when I do another build.
Its quite perfect, almost. Just as with the vanilla 011, i see some bad enginering; the cables that connect to the ssd's in some places hardly fit, very rough. Lian Li should work that out more properly.... Also the connection to the case can be improved, instead of loose screws which can get lost, they should attach it more fancy.

The fan configuration is bottom 3 intake, back 1 out and top 2 out .... my Threadripper 3970x is just breaking a sweat between 65-75C cruising through the Benchmark tests, with a Furmark V1.21.0.0 GPU average @186 fps slapping the ceiling between 198-202 fps, not more than 3-5 fps between the two GPUs. Lian Li case configured with Noctua CPU cooler and fans is best cooling next to liquid LOVE the hot swapable drive drawers
I'll say it again; watercooling. As a community we're bigger than ever. Put a build in, flex tube is fine, show us what it's like, talk about the experience. I remember when we used pond pumps and bike radiators; times have changed. Yet still, the best we often get is radiator compatibility, and maybe a mention of pump mounting or fill/drain ports. I will say the information provided for radiator compatibility here was superb, the best I've seen you ever provide. This is my favourite tech channel, you make beautiful, informative and entertaining content, but you keep avoiding water cooling builds!
As someone that bought the "719" everything and I mean everything in the box including the box itself said "Luxe 2". So that's what I'm calling it 😂 I do love this case though, it's a fine replacement for my aging NZXT Phantom.
@@flako6096 it does not, it's meant to be a fully enthusiast case so it comes with no fans. I bought 2 5 pack of RF120 Deepcool fans and put three in front and three up top and 1 in the back.
Was down to these very two. I ended up picking up the Enthoo mostly because I was more interested in fan cooling prioritizing the fan screens and a front-to-back flow. Instead of the bottom-to-top/sides. With such stature with claimed support for server-sized motherboards, seeing the e-ATX listed as support didn't seem to beg if the motherboard pan would fit the e-ATX one on order. Sadly the Gigabyte TRX40 Designare was still misaligned with the appropriate screws by about 3-4mm when resting on top of the power supply shroud. I decided to modify the case rather than choose another one. This involved drilling out the rivets for the power supply shroud, which allowed for its (non-destructive) removal leaving the plane on top. There are two good options from here: A Dremel will cut through the plane fairly easily with the red grinder wheels. Then fold the remainder behind the pan. Reattach the shroud leaving an open top of the psu to see the mess of cables. All functionality, dual psu or dual rig, remains. I choose to bend the plane mostly flat and then gently curved it back towards the door such that it would be below and shy of the shroud and its attachment points. Making sure that the power supply was free once reassembled. This strategy requires a small 1-inch right triangle cut from the corner so that the RGB can be retained. The exposed holes on the shroud then became anchors for cable management with the connections on the bottom of the motherboard. The cables themselves ride along with the light diffuser and block the direct light from the RGB strip. Again, all functionality remains, with a slightly squeezed cable space behind the shroud. The shroud can be re-riveted if you like or some small machines screws should work just fine. There are still 4 secured points along the bottom curve, 1 to the back of the case, and 2 on the motherboard pan. This is clearly not as structural but achieves three planes of attachment making it perfectly capable of holding the ITX if that's your goal.
Same. But that plus the 1200w revolt x is like 750cad. Just can't justify it. Added the case, PSU, SSDs, and ram to my cart on black Friday, and it was 1500 for just those parts. Couldn't justify it.
@@tarfeef_4268 oof. It takes cables meant for the Seasonic Prime line according to reps, suggesting it is a repurposed 1200 Watt Prime platinum, and the price does reflect that in the US at least. Though I got it almost 15 bucks off on sale, beating the slightly lower usual price of Seasonic's own unit. Still need to order some parts before I can put it to the test but, considering what a high quality 1200 watt psu costs at least in the US we aren't being grifted too harshly. My itx system will have to wait, but I have a 3900x main system planned first using the stock shiny cooler since I can shove in fans to help with temps and it really doesn't get much better on an AIO or loop. Probably will make the itx a low power basic system but if Intel dazzles us in the next two years with something I could also do a good itx board and AIO. Love how many options this case has and I hope Phanteks does the Luxe 3 a little earlier than several years down the road and just makes it that little bit bigger and sturdier so it's not so tight for anyone who goes all out and they can use medium thickness radiators all around with the fans wherever they want them. Still, this is a lot better than what Corsair threw up to compete with the 011 lines.
I got the 719, it's awesome, I have a supermicro server inside it. A bit strange to use this case for a server but I wanted the hard drive storage space.
I like both of these cases, but I think I'll stick with my plain old O11 Dynamic. I love the cable management, and I had no problem getting 3 360mm radiators in it. You're reviews are top rate, so rock on, and keep up the good work. I do appreciate it.
I bought the XL. It is a wonderful case. Though I'm poor, so I haven't really compared it to many cases. Before this, I had a 16 year old Dell tower my grandfather had given me.

I got myself the Lian Li 011 XL and decked it out with 12 x 120mm fans lol. 3 x 120mm in the floor (as intake), 3 x 120mm in the roof, 1 x 120mm rear exhaust and 3 x 120mm on the side as intake. My 240mm AIO is mounter on the side intake with 2 extra corsair SP120 fans for push-pull (mounted behind the motherboard tray)
I've been team phanteks for 4+ years now. I've built in the pro m, luxe, and primo. with my current pc being in a white primo chasis with full hard tubing watercooling. Ive had my eyes on the 719 though for a possible future upgrade for the tempered side panel and to get rid of the hard drive trays i dont use
7:13 you can mount brackets if you use a smaller front radiator. For example, I’m mounting a 360mm rad on the front with a small space at bottom for 2 hard drive brackets.
I wonder where your pc building journey took you. It's been 3 years since you posted this :D In another video I saw the there isn't much room for cable management on the 719, and if one isn't into dual systems (I know I'm not) then it's just wasted space because installing 15-20 fans isn't going to really do much more functionality-wise that 5-10 fans can do.
@@atlantic_love I ended up with a phanteks p600s. Currently running it with a r5 2600 and a 3060 ti. If I was to ever upgrade my case I would probably splurge on cooler master c700m or smt like that
To be hones, i do not think the 011 is good quality, its oke but compare to older, aluminium models it is belowpar. Stupid hdd/sdd metal strip, all have to be scrwed. Hardly enough space to mount the sata powercables, it really gets too tight for my liking. Just feels like they did not think it over well, a rushed porduct. That goes for the sdd-brackets for bottom mounting as well. The 011 is in fact too small, you hardly can mount a rad and fans at the bottom without getting into trouble with the motherboard connections, worse if you have a sata3 connection down there.
You can install a radiator on the outside of the side panel and have the fans for it on the inside. That's what I did so that I have a 480 26mm in the front and a 360 26mm on the side. I also have a 60mm 360 rad up top. No case modification needed to do this.
it would be really cool if lianli release a wider version of their O11 dynamic that would support 165mm air coolers like the noctua nh-d15. For me as a fan of air cooling it is the dealbreaker for that case and the XL is too big and expensive for a regular air ATX build
You can put Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B in O11 Dynamic and probably Fuma 2, they both are 154.5mm. But I saw a post on pcpartpicker that pipes of Fuma 2 touch the glass panel :/ By they way just replaced my Thermalright 120 SBM with the Mugen 5. It's really nice!
I just did a build in the Lian Li case today. I love the extra space for cable management, or not if you so choose. I've always sucked at it. I put three fans, RGB, at the bottom as intakes and managing those six wires cleanly was a challenge , for me at least. If had a rad down there cabling would be easier to hide. But my only complaint about the case is the glass side panel doesn't fit snugly. I had to use a small piece of cardboard to stop it from rattling. I don't see any obvious defects anywhere, it just doesn't fit tight.
Using the 719 with a 3 radiator watercooling build... I am using the drive bays in the bottom with a 240mm radiator and it get quite tight to cable up the drives. Also, be careful with EK SE (and XE) radiator in the top. I had to dremel off a couple of locating lugs that were partially blocked by the radiator and preventing the top from being reinstalled.
I just picked the Lian Li for my son's build (Micro Center had a boatload of them). Going with the EKWB distro block and probably 2 360 rads, but still deciding. Will be our first hard line/tubing build.
Brought the 719. It's my first name brand case and first full tower. Love the features but dislike the ugly grey color (my fault for selecting it). Also note that 480 reads are a bit more limited to use than I thought, but that is mainly because I am used to push/pull. Overall great big case.
I have the regular 011 and I wish I had the XL. Pretty much Every gripe I had with the standard was fixed with the XL. Mainly the extra spacing at the bottom and setting up for dust filtration when running two 360s in a pull config.
@@streakzzchannel4429 You will have to get a single PSU that supports two systems and it supports motherboards up to SSI-EEB and E-ATX, but the secondary one would have to be Mini ITX

0-11 D XL for sure :-) it is a much nicer case in my opinion although they both cater to all my watercooling needs the XL just does it a little bit better
Both cases are great. Personally i would go for the O-11 XL if i had to pick from those 2. For now i have a P600s that i am happy with and so far i am not planning on switching :)
I gave up trying to get a 011XL and since its only 10-15mm taller I figure I could always put a rad outside if I had to. My former Build was the Enthu Luxe and Its a great case, Either one is awesome for watercoolers but the 3rd area you can run a 360 radiator or fans just sold me on the smaller Lian Li 01. I knew Lian Li are great quality because I built a ITX mini pc in their lunchbox case years ago.
Picked up tge o11 two weeks ago. Fantastic case. The side panep where you mentioned you can place ssds are not usable. The sata power cables cant fit in due to how they flex. I had to just zip tie the ssds lol
Luxe 2. I have been wanting to do a big over the top Water cooled build... Long runs of tubing. Big rads, big res and plenty of room to personalize it... *wink*... But Loads of space. I'm still waiting on the rest of my odds and end parts so I can get it started. Cant wait to build it and post what I'm doing.
The TG window on the back of the 719 is done so right. It allows you to show off some nice SSDs if you have them but doesn't force you to show off all your cables in the back that probably don't look great. Why did nobody think of that before?
I just finished my build in the Lian Li XL to replace my original dynamic O11.... no regrets, awesome case. Will be ready for water cooling when my wallet recovers from the upgrade parts!

I like either of the cases. I am not in the market but considering what my favorite case manufacturer is putting out, I would do a double take on one of these.
Just upgraded to a Lian LI O11 XL from a Cooler Master CM Stacker 832. The Cooler Master was a nice case for the time when I bought it over 10 years ago but the Lian Li is so much better for cable management
719 is big just for the sake of being big. 30mm above the motherboard means your VRM will be in the pocket of hot air if you cover them with radiator. So no mounting rad on top. O11 XL has much better use of space. 719 is good only if you want dual system.
Already have the Luxe 2 and a z390 godlike i9 9900k for main system and an asus rog strix x570i with 3950x for itx system and a custom hard loop ;) oh and you can fit 2 480mm rad in the side and rear at the same time if you use two slim ones (20.5mm) using the rear one, mount the fans in the back and rad in the front 👍
Pure BS, the O11 existed before Der8auer did anything to the case. The first model was just made of aluminium and had a higher pricetag because of that.
I like my 719 but I did have some issues. 1. I'd have liked it to be a bit taller as once you install a rad the fans almost touch my ram. 2. The cable encloser was a nice idea but becomes pointless if your psu takes up all the space as with my axi1200
O11 Dynamic series is basically the ultimate bar of what we need. Excellent build quality, excellent water cooling support, excellent visuals inside the case.
Considering the O11 XL as a replacement for my Corsair 750 D (NON airfow edition) mainly due to the well designed disk caddies and the added flexibility. Finding one is a problem tho.
I have dual 480mm rads in the front/side of my luxe 2. EK slims. Fans mounted on the inside for the front and on the back for the side. Blocks the fill port though. 😉
The Phantec reminds me of the very cheap plastic and super thin China stamped steel cases that we used to have to deal with back in 2007. For quality this really is a no brain'er to me, the Lian Li all the way as I have no need for a dual system. Great informative review as always, thank you...
Phanteks is unique looking for a basic tower and has far more options. Lian Li looks like a fish tank. I went with Phanteks because I have owned two of their cases before... an Enthoo Pro, which my girlfriend now owns and a 500a which was nice but too small for my 420mm radiator, so I sold it. Now I own two 420mm radiators, which will actually fit in the 719 case. The 'flimsy' metal on the 719 becomes moot once you install fans and radiators. It is that way to reduce weight and costs, which is why it weighs less than the smaller case and costs less, as you pointed out. Thermaltake does the same thing. There's no need for thick metal on cases.
This one's easy for me, Lian Li. 1. Brand colabs, Asus + Lian Li + EK (if you're watercooling) 2. all aluminum, rigid construction (biggest selling point) 3. size, I have no need for a dual system and the size is just a pure waste of space for me 4. MADE, DESIGNED, AND ENGINEERED IN TAIWAN!
id almost go for the enthoo but id be too afraid to break it. they should up the price a bit and make it stiffer. id be pissed if it broke during assembly or later on from too many fans or whatever. honestly kinda hate how the 011 looks, but i can see how itd be nice to work in
@3:50 what is the CPU cooler? I want to get this case but I'm using a Noctua NH D15 and need to know if there's enough clearance. If its not, I'll just get the reg dynamic since i'd have to change out the CPU cooler to something smaller
I Bought the Enthoo 719 but it has a small flaw the PSU shroud LED cable breaks very easy while arranging your cables because the channels are not deep so if have many cables it ends up pushing the LED cable and there is no replacement for it
How can an "XL" case not feature 420mm radiator support?! Guess I'm stuck with Phanteks then - but then i'll either choose the Evolv X or even the P600s.
