Smuggler's Run 2 runs pretty consistently 3 times a month. It's amazing and has been the best thing about having Jabba. I just wish they would let us sim in because it does take a hot minute to play through twice.
I think you need to do this list twice. Once with lifters and once without. This way slkr is S tier because he has no lifter and still wrecks everyone. Also don't forget about assault battles.
i agree with most of it, but if we are not counting Bane, SEE should be on step down, SLKR have way more utility imo, and rey as you said, is a nightmare in D.
on the same line... i think we should get proper lifters for SEE and LV. (and a lore accurate one in case of LV please, i have no problem with "repeted units" like GK with JMK, but placing Maul (¡MAUL!) under LV lead is just wrong.... reva and inquisitors are a good alternative but they have their team and you still miss maul for the ult charge)
nice overview over each GL. the problem with this list is it looks like you compare them to other character. if that's what you want then great! but if you want to compare just the GL's you should spread them more. id personally put LV in D, SEE in C, rey in B, slkr, kenobi A, jabba and jkl in S and i dont know bout leia, A or S
Rey is only good since Ben. Her synergy with light side units makes her able to save a otherwise lackluster kit. She needed a strong lifter and good DCs in order to be somewhat relevant. And she is trickier to mod than other GLs.
They nerfed Thrawn and Wat, because they were smashing Reys. Maybe my wording was a bit exaggerated, Rey is only as good as her crew. Lately, she has been given strong sides and good crons. Regarding JML, he is significantly weaker in 3v3, which is half of the time, for that reason, he isn‘t Tier S for me.
I can understand why jmk is rather low as without cat he just falls flat. Still think he should be higher as with cat he practically beats anything (without considering dcs) and apart from reva and some newer teams (kb, new bk) he doesn’t allow any non gl counters
I get your reasoning but it feels like a little bit of a cop out putting the lion-share of them in the same tier. If you gave yourself a rule "no more than 2 per tier" where would they fall? It would force you to make some really tough choices, but the result would be a bit more interesting and controversial. Love you stuff anyways man keep up with the S tier content!
JML beats everything right now :). He struggles a little with SEE, but SEE is very much a hard counter to JML. This only really applies at Relic 9, mind. It makes me think I should have considered that in my rankings :)
LV is still a great GL without Maul, he can Solo both SLKR and See and can beat every GL except Leia without Maul and probably all non GL teams (except Bo with her L9). And he benefits from any Datacron set with at least OK Stats, more than any other GL. Also he easily beats TB missions without maul, sometimes on auto.

Also LV has a hold rate thats around as good as Reys, at least as long as the Opponent doesnt have Bo Mando. And he has one of the least amount of non GL counters, only Mando Bo really works against him
Interesting video Scrybe. This is such a great topic for discussion. For me I put them in 3 tiers. Tier 1: Leia, Jabba, JMK. Tier 2: JML, Rey, SLKR. Tier 3: LV, SEE.
Couple requests. Can you make walkthroughs of those GL events that come after conquest? The purple emerald economy thing. Also, i need help w smugglers run II. Having said that, ya I have 2 accounts, between the 2 i only havent used leia. I can confidently say Jabba is the best. Just because he is viable in every game mode in the game. Conquest, proving grounds, pvp, pve, etc. most GLs are good or excel in a handful of modes. But jabba is great in all of them.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to Proving grounds - unless you don't have the characters unlocked you can't play the event. I wish I could do content for them. I can do a video for Smuggler's Run 2 next time though :)
I can give you some suggestions for Smugglers Run II. First thing is focus fire on Range Trooper in the first and second wave. With the health pool they have the protection up he grants to the team is a huge pain. Start off with Jabba targeting him with bombs. It dispels his protection up and puts buff immunity on him. Never use your ultimate. Six thermals per enemy every 3 rounds is much better than one kill. I haven't failed a run since I started doing this. Use Boba Fett instead of Embo. Being able to ignore taunt and remove taunt is key to killing Range Trooper first. Have Lando grant turn meter to Jabba or Boba, so they can target Range trooper quicker. Have I mentioned what a pain Range Trooper is? Only use Execute to remove taunt so you can focus down Range Trooper. Boba's AoE is nice, but resistance is crazy high for the first couple waves so you can only count on Jabba's thermals landing consistently. My Boushh has 199.86% potency and rarely lands thermals. For some reason the resistance is more reasonable in wave 3. Try to have Jabba's Crumb's Revenge and Boushh's Inventive ready to go for the final wave. Target a non-tank (for the assists) with Crumb's Revenge and follow up with Inventive and you will likely have one dead and the other two non-tanks near death to start the wave. Target one of the other two with Boba or Jabba and the team assists should finish them off. I haven't found it makes a difference if you target Krennic or the Death Troopers first, between Boba, Jabba and Lando passing one of them turn meter all three seem to die pretty quick. Then finishing off the tanks is easy.
Awesome! That should help! Will be on the lookout for it! I just remember after I first unlocked jabba I did it. But then after that it would take 5-6 tries. So ya if there was just a “smuggler run II for idiots” thatll help haha. And for the galactic legend events. I forgot what its called . It’s for the Legend tokens. The purple currency. Is there a walkthrough of that? I feel like they buffed the event. The first go around I could pretty much auto with my GLs. Now I cant even beat them.
If you penalize jmk for cat, lv for Maul, see for bane and Rey for Ben; would you not do the same for jabba with boussh? Can’t even reach contract without her.
not at all. You get Boushh as part of the Jabba farm. Jabba is also the ONLY team she works properly in. CAT can go elsewhere (Rey/Padme/Scoundrels...) Maul can go elsewhere (Maul Mandos) Bane can go elsewhere (Himself +1 lol)
@@ScrybeGamingThere isn’t any significant empirical data indicating that is the only team she functions properly in. She was the last marquee I. e. She would probably have had a week of viability prior to unlocking jabba. Her kit would summarize well with a boba led hutt cartel team. I would also argue the drop off of a boushh-less jabba team is much greater than that of a cat-less jmk or a maul-less lv. So jabba is more tired to a marquee thatnthe other two are to conquest characters. Tdlr: I don’t understand the logic behind penalizing jmk and lv for removing a character they were designed to synergies with.
Id genuinly change JMK and JML, JMK is stil one of the best GL, in exchange JML i sometimes dont know where to use him BTW, just saw im a member, i guess someone gifted it in a stream, thanks to that person, lol
Could write an essay about the topic lol. Anyway on k2 I get slkr holds all the time, I never used mine on offence couse he is very consistent in getting holds. Last time I got 3 omis, def hit the jackpot in endor.
JML shouldn't be S tier in a world where Leia is A tier. You forgot how trash he is on defense, I literally smash him with my DR. And he does worse in 3v3 than 5v5. On the other hand, Leia is amazing on defence, she doesn't have a reliable non GL counter (besides Bane), she's amazing in 3v3, and she is needed for the raid AND on top of that she has an extra relic mats event, which while underwhelming for some still gives some rewards. While JML is amazing, he really isn't S tier
He is indeed trash on defense...but DR isn't by any means a hard counter to JML. It's a less than 50% win ratio in 3v3 and less than 60% in 5v5 - not something I would call consistent or reliable :). I totally agree that Leia is better defensively, just where I'm at...Leia has zero viability on defense in general thanks to Bane XD. In other modes, JML is just better. Overall he's better in TB thanks to Zeffo, and for Conquest he's invaluable :). We'll have to agree to disagree on his viability :). I do agree on the raid, if it wasn't for the fact that the SBR is likely leaving us in about 3months.
Hi Scribble! Amazing video, I can never get enough of GL discussions and rankings! Who is your number one favourite GL from an objective performance standpoint and then who is your favourite from a fun kit perspective? I would have to say Jabba to both tbh, I'm currently 2 reqs away from him! Although both SLKR and Rey while objectively solid, I find are very fun to play with.
Ooh, that's a really good question. Because sometimes "powerful teams" are actually not that fun to play. I'd have to stick to my guns and say Jabba is the best for overall performance and roster benefit. Fun to play...in the current climate with the current datacron...JML with JKC and a mass of protection secondaries is GODLY. Assisting under protection for 140K+ damage is nuts.
I just need kylo and Palp to R7 to get my hands on SLKR (FINALLY)!! So i can solo any teams but do i need to keep in mind some strategy when soloing or i can use whichever ability i want (except maybe basic)? I need to read his abilities lol
He's got a lot of survivability and ramps insane levels of damage. He doesn't beat *everything*, and you'll have to mod him correctly. But all his abilities are viable :).
I’m sorry but there is no way you’re putting jmk that low. He is the 3rd best gl in the game behind jabba and leia and is much better than rey, slkr and see
He is very good, I won't deny that. Offensively I'd say he has teeth, but Rey is far superior on defense and SLKR has more wide viability and banner capability on offense, that's why I placed him lower :)
I’d say if your going JMK your also getting GAS and clones, GR + fleet, GG + fleet and CAT all of this is a massive farm but his farm is part of his reward also I’d say which will put you in the best place other than maybe Jabba.
.definitely love JML but i think he is overrated... (i only have 3 GLs JML, Rey, SLKR). if I would rate him maybe B++ .Conquest - S (no questions XD) .GAC/TB/Requirements - B+ .PVP/RAID - D+
Holy moly do you underestimate him in PVP! Definitely in the top end for PVP applications...just not on defense :). Raid, obviously he doesn't have viability sadly.

PvP Offense - he is only verygood against SLKR (old GL) and JMK but pulls a lot from other Jedi Teams like JKR/JKL if against S-Tier opponents. PvP Defense - SEE can solo him or maybe SEE-Wat, GG can kill him if no GMYoda, Rey is 50/50 or Timeout (all other GLs can kill him). the 3v3 Basti-JML though could be S-Tier on GAC :)
I think Leia should go up in to S simply because how good she is on auto play against any team in any game mode. I didn't climb squad arena till i got Leia but now have no problem throwing it on auto while waiting for fleet timer. Auto on Boush cron was not an issue if you switched to old ben lead (with chewpio and big Cass) but It does however struggle with latest Jedi and ray crons
I think youve done JMK and LV dirty when you take into account your jabba reasoning. Jabba relies on boussh to be a menace, same way JMK relies on CAT, same way LV relies on maul. Take out boussh out and jabba can be run over with an IT team. Granted the only saving grace is that boussh is a jabba requirement, and maul CAT arent. But still if youre talking about the GL itself exclusively. Jabba is nothing without boussh.
The difference there is that Boushh is part of the Jabba farm and doesn't belong in any other team. Maul and CAT both have applications outside of LV/JMK that make it tempting to separate them (moreso with Maul than CAT). Boushh is almost worthless outside of a Hutt Cartel team, and within a Hutt Cartel team, the only lead worth running is Jabba.
This is a weird video to me. You talk about Jabba's viability in TB, but all eight are extremely useful in TB. LV and Rey also have missions specific to them. To call out Jabba because you can auto the missions is a pretty poor reason to rank him in my opinion. Especially since Leia can auto most of the mission I send her on in TB. The lifter part was also weird. You exclude the lifter units from LV and JMK but they were specifically built with lifters in mind. Then you ignore the fact that Jabba and Leia are terrible without their core two sides. Aren't they worse because they need two units? Also to talk about Rey's defensive capabilities and not consider the impact of Ben Solo is a little disingenuous. I also can't see a world where JML ranks above the rest. Without JKL and possibly JKCK he's mediocre at best. He can't be put on defense, he's pretty useless in TB without at least JKL and needs to be R9 to compete with the other GLs. Most of which are very useful at R7 and become more and more dangerous as you go to R8 and R9. I guess I'm not the target audience for this type of video. To me, every GL has been worthwhile and has improved my roster significantly. Some have been easier to get than others, but getting each one has been worth the effort. It seems silly to rank them like this with the current state of the game and the ever changing datacron meta. Especially by criteria that didn't feel like it was being applied consistently.
Jabba's viability in TB is different as he's also a required unit in every planet for the mixed zone. Jabba doesn't have a lifter unit. Boushh is *part of his farm and does not belong in any other team*. CAT is not part of JMK and fits into several other teams. Maul is not part of the LV farm and forms a very strong independent team. I did forget Ben Solo, that's 100% true. JKL is part of the JML farm and can reasonably be considered a staple member of his team. He's not a defensively GL but is incredibly valuable offensively. Yes, he does rely on R9, granted. Every GL is 100% worthwhile, and they make up the best 8 characters in the entire game - I've never said that GLs are not worth it and never will :)
I think people misunderstand the important rewards in the new endor tier for leia, for me and lots of mid game accounts the real prize from that is the potential bronzium wiring and carbonite circut boards it drops. Those 2 relic materials are in higher demand for us because they're needed to get by all the lower relic levels in order to even use the higher relic tier pieces that are less used. That said there's no comparison to Smugglers Run 2, it's so superior that the new endor rewards are a joke in comparison.
The biggest problem with the Endor rewards for Leia is manyfold; 1) Random - too much RNG that is highly weighted to low rewards 2) Volume - you only get 1 attempt of this event, 1 set of rewards. 3) Frequency - the event seems to barely show up once a month. Because of these three factors it feels like the event barely makes a dent in any sort of farm. It's better than nothing, of course, but it's so miniscule that it comes off as disappointing in my eyes.
Jmk in my opinion is still the most solid gl. Cant be underestimated on defense, you need really good counter against him. In conquest he can be used even with 10% stamina. On offense, defense better than leia and it is better not to use bane against him. For me jmk is still the best gl in the game. He has everything in his kit for survaiveability and for offense. Without datacrons.
