Played all the games. Played with my father Far Cry 1 when i was a kid, we made it into some kind of tradition to play FC everytime a new one comes out. Oh boy, the memories...
I personally loved far cry 3 and 4. Far cry 4 had similar takedowns to far cry 3 but at the same time, you could tell the huge difference. The memories I have with those 2 games make me cry sometimes💔I remember how happy I was to get them both on the Ps3. But now I lost my PS3 and far cry 4.
Farcry 2 and 5 have given me the most memories from this franchise. 2 was such a different and engaging experience for me, and I was like 12 or something but man that game slapped. And then 5, while not feeling as new and shiny as I'd played many open world shooters by this point, including other Farcry games, gave me that sense of wonder again. The map was so damn immersive and the engagements were constant, and many different elements just meshed so well together. The wingsuit, the planes and helicopters, the boats (try just sailing some of the rivers at night and tell me that shit isn't lit), the wildlife fighting cultists, the wild map elevation, the story (while not to everyone's taste (fair) I quite liked it). Not to mention the massive Arcade mode. You could also do the whole thing coop with a friend.
i was also that age or so when i played 2. i played it so much. i never finished it until a few years ago and it was still a great play through. i even did it on my old console. now i own the new ones on steam but never have time to play anymore :(

@@offthewallsurfer1 yes ! FarCry 4 was 100% my favorite one. Seriously slept on. The story, the protagonist, the location and takedowns. All so fun. Having to get the resistance to join you felt like you were a real war hero. I loved it so so much
Agreed, very underrated game. I remember when I was a kid, I asked my mom for far cry 3 as a present. The game store didn’t have far cry 3 so they suggested her to buy far cry 2. When she got me fc2 I was mad. But I gave it a try anyway, and fell in love with the game, and apologised to my mom x)
I remember playing far cry 5 chilling with my friend shooting cultists and blasting into the antagonist’s base 😂 , it was so much fun to play coop, the game mechanics are pretty much the same as its predecessor far cry 4 but ubisoft made a leap in terms of graphical fidelity. When the showcase for the real gameplay and the trailer came out I was so excited for it, and I was pretty satisfied and happy with the game as I explored the map and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of digital version of Montana.
I played my first far cry around 3 months ago which was 5 and beat it (if we exclude my 13 mins on fc3) and jsut yesterday I bought new dawn, 4, and 6 because of it
I love this so much! The nostalgia is killing me, time goes by so fast I would love to still be in 2014 playing these and not caring about anything. Far Cry gets hate for nothing sometimes, so it's nice to see people who love the games like I do
Because of work, I haven't played any modern games (post 2000 say) fully until the last year (retirement). I thought it was going to be GTA, COD and Star Wars ECT that I was going to go deep in. Imagine my (delightful) surprise to find that it was games like Far Cry, Uncharted that were the ones I that gave me sleepless nights, and the urge to just buy the sequels asap when completed. I grew up on the Amiga, before that the 2600 ECT... One thing I learnt was just because it had a AAA licence attached, or a giant marketing team, didn't necessarily translate into a good game. I cannot for the life of me explain that thrill when you came home from school with a bunch of disks with game titles that you had no idea what you were getting yourself into, only to find an addictive well thought out game underneath. This is why now when I go to buy games today, I read reviews from players, and try to get a varied opinion as possible. What may make one game a winner for most may not do it for me... For example, Far Cry is my kind of FPS. In number 4, I like to pretend I am in Burma/Myanmar fighting the Junta and Shah state. For number 3, it's pretending I am an Aussie tourist that got "lost" around Indonesia/PNG ECT... These are the games I go back to. Just due to the games delivering on what I find personally entertaining, not what I am supposed to find great due to a giant marketing team and a $100+ price tag..

Update: New Dawn is insanely slept on, this game might be one my favs now just on style and premise alone. Some of the takedown animations arent as good as past one but I still think this game is so fun and im loving it 😭
Man i played 2, 3, blood dragon, 4, primal, 5, and new dawn and i really wanna play six. The memories i have from this great series of games will be with me forever. The feeling i had playing 2 for the first time all the way up to finishing new dawn never went away. Weirdly primal was one of my favorites it felt like it took so long to beat and was so unique. Anyway great series everybody should play it honestly
six honestly was not half as good as these other farcrys sadly i was excited for six too but beat it and it was honestly a chore beating that game story was kinda mediocre and gameplay wasnt nothing special the only thing good about that game were the melee takedowns my fav farcry is either 3 or 5 i adored 5 the scenary alone in that game is worth every cent
For 6 the developers or whoever was in charge of marketing lied about the city, it's only explorable in very small linear sections, they really just shouldn't have made the city its just a fucking hole where the map is concerned and a reminder of what could have been
4 is my favourite. I love the setting and the world plus the gameplay enhancements from 3 made it a perfect experience. 5 didn’t do much to improve on 4, I was quite disappointed with that one.
My dad got me Fc3 for my 13th birthday and it surprised me at 1st I wasn't really that interested as I had fc classic on my very 1st xbox and I just preferred open world games but I gave Fc3 ago and I was blown away not only was it open world but it was super immersive and had a great storyline which kept me engaged. My favourite thing with Fc3 was unlocking skills and seeing the tattoo evolve on Brody's arm and then Fc3 also has my favourite song from the franchise which is I'm sorry by Brian Tyler it takes me back to when I was 13, great times. I then wanted Fc4 which has been my favourite out of the franchise so far and have played every farcry after that. 5 was great but wasn't a big fan of the takedowns but new dawn gave us back the epic takedowns aswell as Fc6 which I have enjoyed but sadly I finished everything on it and there is just no reason to play it. If I'm being honest Fc4 was my favourite but I loved arcade from Fc5 hopefully in the future maybe Fc7 hehe offers us a great arcade
Great video! Since Covid have started I began to spend with my son a lot of time playing PS with FC4 (borrowed by neighbor) and opened the whole world of FC. Still playing again and again 3, 4, 5 and Primal. Thanks!
Far cry 3, 4, 5, and Primal are amazing, brilliant fun. Enough activities in those four titles to keep you busy and entertained forever. Impossible for me to declare which one is best, that's how you know you're dealing with gaming greatness.
From the far cry 2 till 5 i played all of them and loved it, one of the big reasons i made friends when i was little was far cry 3, i went to school one day with the case a few days after release and kids recognized it. After that we would meet at my place and play for hours. The kids that i made friends with 10 years ago we still keep in touch.
Superbly edited and some great creative gameplay. 3 was a game changer and it's now 10 years old 2022. People say FC is formulaic but It suits me fine. Best franchise ever.
Played all the games from FC2 and only farcry 4 gives me the nostalgic vibes. Damn those were some beautiful scenes and memories from Himalayan mountains
I’ve only played 3, Primal & 5. I often say 3 is the one that made it what it is today, Primal is the best one to play solo, and 5 is the best to play coop. Loved playing this with my friend until the late hours wreaking havoc & constantly doing stupid and funny shit while shooting the shit. Great memories
I disagree with Primal being the best one to play solo, but that's just me, you're entitled to your preference/opinion. My favorite FarCry game for solo is without question, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon! But I also LOVE FC2, even though it's quite different from what it is these days, don't get me wrong, I enjoy these games, have played them all, but they are honestly going downhill... There's still no question as to you will always have fun playing them but they are just getting more generic and losing a lot of little things that previous games had, redundant mechanics (cough* New Dawn *cough), and smaller arsenals/recycled weapons when they could just add all previous ones and more new ones too! Ubisoft is also going downhill cause they are becoming more concerned with money over the players enjoyment/ wants and needs. There's so much laziness you can find in the newer ones if you really are a long time FC fan and look for it. I just hope future games don't continue to snowball down into a mediocre fps trying to compete with other big name games, or as Ubi has done before...add stuff into the game that has no place, like rpg elements...which they did not only with FC but Assassin's Creed AND Ghost Recon. They are still very fun games and provide Many hours of enjoyment, but they need to listen to fans and really put more effort into them and not try to squeeze a new one out every other year or so!

I own Far Cry 3, 4, 5, and 6 but I've only ever played 6 and I personally enjoyed it. I'm getting around to them but if Far Cry 6 is as bad as some fans have said, I'm sure I'll love the rest of the games!
Yes Far Cry 3, 4, 5 + New Dawn which is technically 5.5 are considered better than 6 but it's up to personal choice, Still enjoyed Far Cry 5 more than 6 but being Cuban myself I did enjoy 6 more than most who criticized it, Far Cry 6 is similar to the setting of Far Cry and Far Cry 3 due to its Tropical Nature
@@javiermigoya yip. Personal preference. For me far cry 2 is the best by an absolute mile! The jakkel story was realistic imo. No other far cry game comes close since they added fantasy hallucinations like a sci fi genre in the rest and far cry 1 of course. Also been a south african i could understand what the outpost guards were saying 😂 somethings they say i cant write on here.. I would get banned. So yes.. Very racist words indeed. Lol. Far Cry 6 has a lot of expansions in it and i can understand why xd, It was a blast for me a total of 1 week of playtime continuously, But for me its always Blood Dragon :b
For the past year or so I've made it my goal to 100% all of the far cry games, because I'd never really done that as a kid. And I recently just finished far cry new dawn, I'm finally almost there and I can't believe all of the stuff that I missed in the games as a kid. I've had so much fun replaying all of those game and I'm very much looking forward to playing far cry 6.
Far Cry 4 is my favorite story in Far Cry. 5 has given happy memories with my pal Nick when we screwed around with glitches & I essentially carried him through missions. Now, I'm writing & dreaming my own Far Cry game

I literally grew up with Far Cry. My personal favorite was Far Cry 3. The AI allies you get that help you whenever your low on health were unprecedented. The Devs at Ubisoft do a fantastic job at making the game feel so realistic. Real life problems, realistic scenarios of corruption being overtaken by a rebellious few. Remarkable storytelling. I can just go on and on..
Well I thought Far Cry 1&2 were best and I’m going to stick with that. FC1 was a gem with a twist. FC2 was essentially what the FC games are now, but it was first. I’d put the first AC up there in that mix and that’s all I can think of, thanks!

Far Cry 4, along with No mans sky, my first game for my ps4, bought on the same day as it, played trough the story like 3 times, i love this game, it will forever be my favorite FC, FC5 being a somewhat close 2nd. Thank you Far Cry franchise, you started my gaming journey, and for that i ll be forever thankful.
My personal favourite is 5, I think it had a super chill vibe, and I really enjoyed driving around that area. But yeah I guess 3 was the peak. Also I have to memtion that I've always been impressed of how smoothly the games run. I remember playing Farcry 5 on a relatively old laptop, obviously low settings, but it ran very well and still looked sick.
yeah i think ubisoft had one back then but i dont remember, prob ghost recon or smth it was fps but best co op would be gears of war, it even has different path for each players
FC5 is the best Far Cry game in my opinion, it added a ton of things and perfected the features the previous installment had while having an identity of it's own. Cons : -Mute protagonists -Too many Bugs -No looting animation -Forced RPG mechanics -No towers to climb, I liked that one too -Lack of outposts and missions to do -There's practially nothing to do in a region after you conquer it -You can't take pets on a roadtrip like in New Dawn Pros : -The world itself was better and more interactive -Graphics -The map was the best -All the villains are superbly done -The soundtracks are FIREEEEE -Pets for hire -The map creator -Petting the animals Some takeaways : -In FC3, the second island feels so luckluster Hoyt and Citra felt forced as a villain. The game practically ended after Vaas' "death". FC5 fixed it by having multiple regions that you can play in any order to avoid being too linear like FC3 and 4. -Aside from Pagan, every Villain in FC4 felt like a side character while in FC5 every single one of them feel like a final boss. Not to mention how beautiful Ubi created their character. -The outposts in FC5, albeit few look different than the others while the outposts in FC3 and 4 look like they just recycled the first one they made.
this gives me so much motivation the play this series, only one i played was Primal and i loved it, completed it to 100% but never got into the others. ironically i own them all
Far cry 3 will always be my favourite game of all time, the memories I’ve made from it is just too nostalgic now that I think back to it. Enjoyed it a ton, everything about that game at the time was just perfect, from the setting, gameplay, story and the soundtrack in that game was just a masterpiece. The vibes from that game is just so intense and strong, character development was insane. Something that far cry games from 4 onwards lacked severely.
Far Cry 3 has a special place in my heart because it was my first Far Cry game AND was also my first "First Person Shooter" I've ever completed, also the very first "Open World Game" I've ever completed...also the first game I've ever gotten 100% trophies on Xbox360. Lol sorry it's alot but plenty of nostalgia for Far Cry 3 as you can see. Lol 👍
@@gabrielhoward5601 Could I just tell you that is also exactly my experience. TBH it was the first Triple A title I ever bought and my first official FPS game i ever completed and played too. It just makes the experience all the better. I am glad i am not the only one!
I liked 4 but i liked 5 even more , then new dawn came and i loved that yet even more ..... Turns out new dawn was laying out the foundations of the game i like the most in the series farcry 6 .. Yes im one of those people who actually love the game ... Tho i miss the human companions from 5 like Hurk
@@GamblingAdvocate my only complaints about 6 is that there's no kicking or punching in the game like in 5, no cluster or incendiary rockets like in 5, no human companions, i like farcry 5 damage on enemies alot more , machine gun turrets on vehicles on 5 feel alot better then 6, different types of ammunition in 6 makes no sense since the only effective way to kill them is using armor piercing rounds . Just the little things that make 5 alot moee enjoyable i still like 6 i also like that they added tanks into the game which i hope they add in the next game as well
Played almost every installments (except Instinct). Gotta say, open-world game from first-person perspective gives unique vibes. Yes, perhaps we don't get to see full scope of the world compared to third-person perspective, but you get the immersions out of it. So far, my favorite is 5. The landscape is simply mesmerizing. Not too green, not too white, not too modern, also not too stone-age-like. Kinda reminds me of my hometown.

far cry 5 is so fun with friends, me and my friend did most of the story and the outposts stealth was so cool together, and we're planning to play again with the winter mod since it's close to christmas

For mine, Far Cry 4, 5, and 6 are all so cool and rank among my favorite games; which, is saying something since I have been gaming since the IBM AT era. I just love 'em.
You did it so fucking well, I'm a huge fan of the series from the very beginning and I love far cry 4 the most, awesome movie montage composed with lofty music beautiful co-op of both players is my opinion you can disagree there are thousands of other games but I honestly love the atmosphere of this series and graphics thanks and glory to the youtube algorithm that recommended me on the main page
Recently I’ve been grinding 100% for all the Far Cry games available on PlayStation 4. I’ve completed FC3, 4, took a break from 5, and burnt myself out on New Dawn. Recently bought Primal so I hope to conquer that soon. But I’m awaiting Far Cry 6.. I want to finish the rest before I go to that game. Unfortunately I lost my PS3 and can no longer go for 100% on my copy of FC2 🤦♂️ but oh well. This video gave me the motivation to finish up the rest of these games!
