Were testing out the Asus RT-AX88U gaming router to see if it really is the best gaming router out in 2020.
In this video I show you how to get it connected to your network, go through the wizard to configure wifi and go through some of the features of the Asus RT-AX88U

I've had mine for a year and my experience has been amazing. We have three gamers all using it as we cant wire an apartment. So far it has exceeded expectations in every way. Yay!!!!

Nice setup walkthrough. Can I ask you to do some test with multiple devices? I currently have an ASUS AC86U and while I can get 200Mbps from a single device (my internet speed) if I run speed tests from two WiFi devices that bandwidth gets split between the two. This would be running my phone, or laptop from my desk. If I just run a speed test from either one, I get 200-220Mbps, if I run both I still get 200-220 but this is combined. Usually the first device to start gets around 160Mbps, while the other only gets 40Mbps. I am hoping these new WF6 routers improve upon this. Yes, I cross posted this on your other AX88U vid. Thx

Need a little help .I setup the router per your video and after updating firmware I can't log in to router , I have internet access

If im selling the router do I have to delete something? Say wipe the logins etc ? Or will it be plug and play for the new owner?

Not sure if you've tested gaming yet but I'm interested in seeing the results. Also, do you actually see an improvement in phone battery life because of target wake time feature in wifi 6?

@@Virlo it’s a great router for gamers and easy to do things like port forwarding . I would never use this is a business setting . But for home it’s great

@@Virlo depends on your needs. I use netgate sg-1100 running PFsense. I have a lab with a UDM pro and a few other routers If you don’t know a lot about networking and want a good router that is fairly straight forward to use this one is it

UAPs I setup get 500mbps with no wifi 6. If this only did 500mbps 😒

Chris Mallia I’m sure it’s my configuration this is a new router to me and I’m sure there is some tweaking. What UAPs do you have the pros?

Chris Mallia nice I had a really bad wifi card in my pc before I’ll try a test with the new one on the UAPs

@@MactelecomNetworks Yes, some wifi cards suck, I had installs where some laptops using AC could not do more than 140mbps, using a different device laptop or phone I got 470mbps on the same UAP LR. Really enjoying your videos please keep them coming. :)

Well I went and finally "upgraded" my router from my provider. One main reason i got this was to help improve range, and I must say I am very disappointed. And wished I didn't spend my money on it

not worth the money... very weak signal . I bought an asus ax88u and after 2 weeks, it dropped 5 ghz ... I returned it immediately. Then I took the asus ax86u and I had a very weak signal. I returned it too.I have a 4 year old cheap d-link router , bought for 10 euro, and it has a stronger signal than ax86u ... Asus routers are very weak, they break down very quickly.
