love your video structure. two of the 3 decks i am building for local play are from your lists. very thoughtful, intuitive, in depth, and well explained guides. thank you for taking the time to make these so well.
Inquisitor is my favorite leader. it feels so good to be able to break the rules and just...attack. Feels really, REALLY good ramping into 7th sister or Rukh, readying and attacking right away and with the fat booty you can often stand them up, kill a guy and stick around to hit another guy and just conquer the board even from behind
As you pointed out it is very similar to Vader deck and I would rather use Vader leader with these cards and grand inquisitor with blue for more variety. Don’t see a strong reason to use Inquisitor over Vader as leader with most of these red/green cards; a little more faster but not enough to choose it over a much powerful Vader in my opinion.
There are plenty of reasons to play GI over Vader as I explain in the video: Fifth brother, Force Throw, Seven sister... The deck has the option to be a lot more aggressive especially when the opponent is tapped out which helps a ton especially against aggro, which normally a bad MU for Vador
I would swap Fallen Lightsaber for Infiltrate. The reason being is the combo of Fifth brother on 6 resources. Play fifth (2/4). Play Infiltrate (3/5). Ready with GI leader action (5/3). Attack dealing one to self (6/2) for 6. Deploy GI and attack for 3 ready fifth (7/1). Attack for 7. Thats 16 dmg. If you use Admiral Ozzel to play fifth readied its possible to push for 20 dmg.
Been playing against Boba with this list on force table and maybe im just not piloting it correctly, but deck just doesnt seem that effective. The only main targets for inquisitors ability are super laser tech (to ramp) and fifth brother. So if you dont draw either of those, inquisitor is kind of pointless. Then you dont have the removal power that the vader leader gives you. It just doesnt feel super optimized to me.
Ruck and seventh sister are also excellent target for GI. Also playtest on foretable are pretty much worthless, the AI is not very competent. So I would not draw any conclusion based on that ;)
Exclusively space is not really viable now, but there are a few decks whose win conditions are primarily big space units. Examples are the Command Chewie decks that have been running around since the Poland tournament, or Villain ramp decks with Piett and Star Destroyers/Ruthless Raiders. But none of these decks will be fully optimized and ultra-competitive, imho.
Ruthless raider is amazing, but after many games with GI, I just don’t think it’s the right card. It took a lot of consideration to drop, but once I did I don’t regret it. This deck can play multiple cards on 6, which is often more impactful than the Raider that has no interaction with GI.
@@MrSebdeg no six cost because it has action at every lower cost where you can often end up playing relevant cards instead of the six drop raider you have no interaction with
I personally prefer force lightning over force choke to be honest. But is overwhelming barrage really worth losing turn 4 kill with blue? Or access to grit cards?
Force Choke can't really be compared to force lightning, Force choke is a powerful card that does not need any force unit to do its thing, you need it especially against aggro. Force lightning however really needs a force unit to do well, so it's a force payoff. in that category Force throw is much better. Running too many of those payoffs is a risky approach since if you are behind and you have no force unit in play those cards are almost dead. Yes in my opinion green gives you way more than blue, Yes barrage is much much stronger than takedown, but that's far from the only thing green gives you, Superlaser technician, Vador, Resupply the list goes on... Excepted Pursier, Grit cards aren't really that good for GI, yes their attack increases with damage which is cool but then you can't use GI's ability on them anymore. Overall all the strong GI synergies are in red not in blue.
@@Thorrk_THT lets see if it changes with the following set. Sadly in this game they wont do any errata i guess, only bans, an not until they run their competitive play with more sets
It depends on your meta, but this is the Vador I was refereeing to: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ABcznDTam9E.html&ab_channel=Thorrk%27sHotTakes
Anything between 9 and 15 is fine. I have force choke too, and sometimes I actually want to skip my first turn to play open fire and kill something with initiative.
