designers create such amazing and impressive work ....but nothing they say ever makes much sense, I know every design needs inspiration but why does abstraction always have to seem so pretentious?
Because graphic design is a creative subjective process, it relies on the feelings and the senses, that gut instinct you cannot describe accurately by words and syllables, which can only be shown not tell. The communication is the visual itself, why does the graphic designer have to explain his work when the work speaks for itself?
