It’s hard to stay disciplined but I always try to record my sessions and then play them back to see if there were any areas that sounded unbelievable or god awful… ha! That’s an awesome message. I’ve been a player for 32 years, and used to actually play out. That was some time ago. I’ve become friends with a woman that runs sound at a rather large music venue near me, and she always lets me know when there’s a really good act coming through there. I got to hang out with the main act and eat chicken wings with him last night. Bottom line, I’ll never be as good as that guy. No sleep lost.
